262 Bowery 2nd Floor, New York“I have done pilates before, but NYP provides a great experience before, during, and after class. I appreciate the customer service (they respond rather quickly via text) as well as answering my questions in the studio. I love that the instructors offer modifications in class too!“

80 5th Ave #1003, New York“When I came to Rebecca I was unable to work as a nurse, go out to eat (restaurant chairs-ouch), or really function due to severe back pain and scoliosis.
I had done PT for MONTHS, which made things worse instead of better. I even saw 2 of the ‘best’ PTs in the city who were referred to me by my concierge doctor.
When I came to Rebecca, I was anxious and desperate-but she was patient and responsive to what caused pain. Through trial and error, she helped me find the few exercises that could help strengthen my body and we began with those. Slowly I progressed, and the pain dissipated. I couldn’t believe it! Instead of generic exercises prescribed by PT (bird dogs-you can’t do a bird dog correctly without core strength!!!!), she helped build my body up from feet to pelvis to core to shoulders to head!
Fast forward 2 months and I cannot believe what we have accomplished. I’m so strong and have developed routines I can do independently, which she encourages. I’m doing things I’ve never been able to do! Not to mention there’s a great side effect of looking physically fit too. I don’t know what I would’ve done without Rebecca.
Long story short, Pilates with Rebecca is the answer. Good luck to all the other back pain sufferers out there-you CAN get better!“

From the very first session, Keith’s expertise and dedication were evident. He thoroughly assessed my condition and developed a personalized treatment plan that has significantly alleviated my pain. The billing is also really smooth. Highly recommend Keith“

181 Pacific St, Brooklyn“Brenda was terrific. My first time taking her class. Will do it again as I start to add classes on Weekends. I usually take Eden’s Wednesday evening class and really like it too.
Megan was great! The right amount of intensity and core work as I am returning from a hip injury. She was very attentive and gave adaptations when needed.
Megan has got a great energy and demeanor and she’s an excellent knowledgeable teacher. She helps you use the out breathing to directly strengthen your core. She understands the importance of focusing on the engaged parts of your body, as you do the exercises and of visualizing it while feeling it, whether it’s the direction of your tailbone or the expanding of the ribs, she helps you understand more deeply. She really knows her stuff.

12 West 27th Street 2nd Floor, New York“I think I finally have found a place for me. The best yoga classes no doubt. Yoga practice that is not rushed, gives you time to connect to your body but at the same time intense and makes you really move and sweat and release and stretch. Yoga teachers know what they are doing. The whole community they created comes from a giving place.“

They don't just help resolve your pain/issue, they spend the time to understand the root cause and give you exercises so the pain doesn't come back. I've had various issues over many years but have never had to get physical therapy for the same problem - just fabulous. Also the practice has convenient hours so you can go before work or after. I can't recommend Central Park Physical Therapy enough - their knowledge, their approach and their support are just great.“

594 Broadway #904, New York“I did Pilates sessions with Halle at Mongoose twice a week for 10 months prior to having spine surgery in order to be as strong as I could beforehand. Now, over two months post-surgery I’m back to working out on the reformer and other equipment as part of my rehab program. I know I am safe thanks to Halle’s careful observations of my body as I go through the various movements and her insightful cues to get just the right muscles to fire. Her studio in SoHo is well equipped and is a peaceful sanctuary for my Pilates practice. I am grateful for her skills.“

“Five stars for Lula Body's gorgeous studio space, and for Tara the owner, pilates instructor and masseuse. She doesn’t just guide you through pilates -- she understands the body as something layered, mechanical, and deeply individual. She approaches the physical in constant negotiation with the mind, reminding you, through movement and precision, that the body's organization is not just anatomical but also philosophical. I left the bright, warm studio aware of my habits and my possibilities. This resource right here in Crown Heights is a real community gem. I’ll be back -- sure, for the abs -- but also for the mind/body integration. Thank you, Tara. ?“

808 Union St, Brooklyn“I’m writing this from Australia, just over 9 years since I left Brooklyn. I was casually looking through Google Maps and was so happy to see this place is still up and rocking… this remains the best gym I’ve ever been to in my life and I’ve got many great memories of my time here! I’ve been to a ton of different gyms since moving back “home” to Australia but have never found a gem like Slope Fitness.I miss this gym so much! Great size, staff and atmosphere. Ahh the hours I spent here were well worth it. Join and you’ll see what I mean!So happy to hear it’s still going strong after all this time:)“

314 E 34th St Floor 4, New York“I loved how Juri structured the class to focus on upper body and core. Too many classes (at other studios) only focus on glutes without any mention of how to activate and engage the core, which I see as the foundation of pilates.“

620 W 42nd St, New York“I am so grateful for Type A Training. Before I started, I struggled to figure out how to work out or live a healthier lifestyle. I kept turning to articles online, TikTok, and Instagram, but every platform offered different advice, and it quickly became overwhelming. That's when I realized I needed a personal trainer to help me start over from the basics.
When I decided to try out Type A Training, Nathaniel responded to my inquiries so quickly that I was able to start the 45-minute starter pack training the very next day. During his assessment, he asked thoughtful questions about my motivation, goals, and even my medical background. He then connected me with a personal trainer who perfectly aligned with what I was looking for.
As someone who works a full-time job and goes to school, the flexibility of Type A Training has been invaluable. I could schedule sessions at times that fit my busy life and choose a convenient location. Nathaniel was always easy to reach, and rescheduling was a breeze.
I genuinely appreciate Type A Training and would recommend it to anyone looking to start their fitness journey, no matter how many times they've tried before. I'm already seeing results and feel motivated to keep working on my health.“

The place is amazingly comfortable with all the gadgets, tableau and strings secured. The training is conducted by a sport teacher who is very detailed guiding new comers like myself to teach the best of my potentials in the field of pilates.
