She is not only an exceptional master, but also an inspiring and patient teacher who truly cares about her students. We’ve seen incredible growth in our son’s confidence, discipline, and respect — not just in his Taekwondo skills, but in his character overall.
We moved to another town, but we still travel back to this TKD center because it’s simply that great. Highly recommend!“

705 Forest Ave, Staten Island“Wonderful Tae Kwon Do school ::: NY Finest TKD!
The school environment and staff are incredibly positive and motivating. Master Larissa, Master Fiona, and Master Katrell and Master Aiden and Master Steven and all the staff are truly exceptional instructors and people. They each bring their own unique strengths to the class, but each is so committed to the students. Their passion for Tae Kwon Do and their ability to connect with kids is inspiring. They are mentors who not only teach the curriculum but also respect, perseverance, and confidence which is so important.
The school also has parties, summer camps, events, aka Christmas, Halloween, holiday bashes that are SUPER fun and my kid always look forward to going.
We’re so grateful to be part of NY Finest TKD community, and we can’t recommend it highly enough!“

1 W Forest Ave, Englewood“We’ve had a wonderful experience with my son’s kendo lessons. Master Kim is patient, respectful, and incredibly skilled at working with children. He creates a structured yet encouraging environment that teaches not only kendo techniques, but also discipline, focus, confidence, and respect for others.
My son looks forward to every class and has grown so much — both physically and mentally — since starting. Master Kim takes the time to guide each student and make sure they feel supported, regardless of skill level. It’s clear he truly cares about the students and the art of kendo.
I highly recommend these lessons to any parent looking for a meaningful and enriching martial arts experience for their child.“

224 W 30th St Rm 903, New York“This place lives up to the hype the level of training here is second to none. I room of killers. So many years knowledge on the mats and it shows. I very particular style of teaching with a step by step approach while constantly being on the cutting edge of the latest and newest techniques. Yes its stuffy its a basement. They redid the bathrooms much improved. The best gym ever, Master Renzo should he happen to be there is the most charismatic man I ever met and his stories and love for jiujitsu make him the legend he is. Highly recommend.“

He shows them how important focus is, all the while still providing a playful atmosphere that keeps young kids engaged. From our personal past experience with different schools, my son was not at all interested in the martial arts, but from day 1 here- he has become quickly obsessed. 6529 John F. Kennedy Blvd Floor 1, North Bergen“Incredible! Everyone here, from the instructors, to the owners are humble and want to help you out. I knew I wanted to be active but was not wanting to go to a traditional gym. Glad I stopped by and signed up. My favorite part is there are other people here in the same boat as me, looking to make a change and be around like minded individuals. There’s no pressure and you are never forced into contact or anything that makes you uncomfortable. It’s nice when your “no face hits” boundary is respected. 5 stars!“

414 Grand St, Jersey City“The first rule of Fight Club is: You do not talk about Fight Club.
But some secrets are too good to keep.
Family Fitness Karate in downtown Jersey City has become a quiet anchor in our week - a place where my two children are learning discipline, focus, and a kind of strength that isn’t loud but runs deep. Master Mike and every instructor carry themselves with grace, patience, and an understanding of how to guide kids not just in kicks and forms, but in life.
Fridays are special. Sparring night feels like something out of a storybook - electric, mysterious, full of energy and unspoken respect. And the Demo Team practices? Like being invited into a secret society, one where everyone bows in and belongs.
I’ve seen real change in my kids: more confidence, more calm, and a spark in their eyes that tells me they know they’re growing. Watching Petra bow to Master Mike as she received her belt - there was something quietly beautiful and deeply respectful in that moment.
I wasn’t going to say anything. But here I am, breaking the first rule. And I would do it again.“

4202 Avenue U, Brooklyn“I trained back in March of this year in the Brooklyn HQ dojo and I just went back to train again September, last week..I have personally seen the results of the entire NY team doing Professor David's 90 day challenge. I was astonished by their results. I also was able to have my first private lesson with the Professor, which I highly recommend. The information he gave me was priceless. It was great seeing the Shihan's, amazing leadership, and the entire team again. I look forward to my next visit always. Osu!“

In fact, they care enough to ensure children actually learn and master skills they can use on and off the mat, before advancing them up the ranks. This place is so much more than a Karate Dojo, it's a family, and one I'm proud to be part of!“

“This is a wonderful wrestling school. I have nothing but great things to say about Elmer and the rest of the coaches at Edge. They do a terrific job of running the youth wrestling program. They have a truly long term perspective on making the program as retainable and fun for kids as possible - while still making sure they are learning. If you are thinking about enrolling your kid in a youth wrestling program, this is where you want to be.“
