“I have known Hanshi Morales for roughly three years. I study a different style of Karate, but he always allows me to come up to his dojo and spend several days training with him. I have gained so much more knowledge to put into my training, and I have gained confidence in being able to practice Goju Ryu.
He always wants to share knowledge and keeps an open mind for new things. If you want to train for real, look no further than here.”
“Such an amazing experience! Everyone is welcoming and knowledgable of their craft. Our son was extremely nervous and after his first day, he can’t wait to go back! 10/10 would recommend to everyone.”
“ASNJ is a rare and wonderful place. Cannot overstate. My 12 y/o daughter started practicing here in November, she loves it. This isn’t our first crack at martial arts - My daughter can be shy and hesitant to put herself out there- but she has truly thrived here. The vibe/ the instructors/ the energy is just so awesome - she is engaged and challenged and feels comfortable - she has never said “I don’t want to go”. The whole Dojo is just full of caring, intelligent and funny instructors and members who genuinely care for and support one another. Sensei Jay and the rest of the Dojo leadership / instructors we have worked with so far (Frank, Paul, James, Thu, Barry, Tom, and Guzman) are all really great - they are awesome teachers, compassionate towards the students while challenging them to be their best selves - and always, always welcoming. I cannot recommend ASNJ enough to parents and to adults who want to practice. They offer tons of classes, very flexible schedule, interesting and fun options no matter your level/ readiness. If you are considering trying or returning to martial arts for yourself, or for your child/adolescent/teenager, ASNJ should be your first stop. You will not regret it.”
