The home itself is beautifully built — solid, well-crafted, and clearly made with care. We’ve been so happy with the final result and can’t thank them enough.

We had a great experience with a large renovation project. Eric and his team are very professional and great to work with. There are hundreds of decisions in a home reno and he helped us think through them all. He explained options and different price points clearly. He made sure the work was done well, even catching and fixing small things we didn’t notice. Wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again or recommend the to others.
Wild flower is my new favorite florist. My husband bought me an incredible bouquet of flowers here for Valentine’s Day. I loved them so much that I stopped in yesterday to pick up some bouquets for Mother’s Day. I had a delightful time chatting with Tess while she helped me pick out the perfect combination of flowers for my mom and mother in law.

Dr Fagen has the magic touch. He somehow finds just the right spots to work on and my back always feels better. He is very easy going, flexible with scheduling and cares about the community. I brought my 8 year old in for a haircut. I have seen what the space previously was, and the transformation alone of the space was absolutely incredible. It felt warm, welcoming, cozy and a perfect mix of modern and “lake life”.
Mikayla is a master at her craft- her constant demand is a true testament of that. However, her care and personality are equally wonderful. She took the time to chat with my son about his hair and his wants/desires for the style.
While it may not seem like a big deal, even 8 year olds can get antsy and uncomfortable with the tiny hairs during a barber visit. Mikayla was swift with minimizing this factor and was engaging and welcoming.
The haircut was perfection, and I cannot say enough great things about the space & the barber. It’s well worth mapping out future visits because the quality, care, and outcome are 10000% worth it.
Contacted Chippers to have some Trees trimmed and removed. Tanner came by and walked the property with us making recommendations along the way. We received a quote and work started within 2 weeks. We had trees taken down, a number of trees trimmed, and our Dock cable hoist repaired. Holes were drilled and long Bolts were installed in trees to give solid anchor points for our Dock hoist cable. This was an added bonus for us. I thought I would have to contact a Dock company to get this repaired. Chippers provided the crane, manpower and all equipment to complete the entire job in one day! Thanks to Tanner, Scott and the rest of the crew for doing this job for us. All involved are professional, talented, hard working.
I went to Toby’s on a Thursday afternoon in early August for a skin fade and beard trim. I called ahead expecting a wait but there was only one in front of me and he was wrapping up as I arrived. From what Toby tells me that’s not always the case but I was thankful I didn’t have to spend hours out of my day waiting and walked out of there looking good (within my genetic limits) and happy I found the shop. Toby has been cutting hair for quite some time and he didn’t waste anytime while still being pretty personable. The only thing I’d say is make sure you get in early or call to check the wait because he does everything he can to close at 4 - he was refreshingly blunt about the fact he finishes work as close to 4 as he can so if he already has a couple people waiting for a cut at 3:30, he will lock the door and won’t accept last minute walk-ins typically. Simple and clean shop, quick and friendly traditional barber service, and a solid haircut are all reasons to check it out!
I had cut and roots done by Nancy. I had moved from NY and needed a cut and color before a wedding. I really liked the ease and convenience of the cut. I am a 70-something with fine and now thinning hair, so cutting it well is not easy. Nancy did great! Collarbone length. The color was spot on. Also, as it turns out, she has Bear Island roots, and she knew all my neighbors. Best, because of her lake background, she really gets what the weather, wind, sun, and water can do to your hair. In fact, as she told me, "Lake hair don't care."

Every visit to Meredith Animal Hospital has been the best experience. Dr. Kappes is excellent and everyone at the office is friendly and helpful. Both our dogs just encountered a porcupine and needed extensive care. We were told we could bring them right in. When we arrived both dogs were cared for immediately and they are recovering very quickly. We are so grateful and highly recommend this practice.

Yes, more expensive than Lowes but very professional, helpful, top brands, caters to both professionals and DIY'ers. Will deliver large >$100 orders for free. 2x4's <$1 diff than Lowes. Worth it for decent size projects!
I cannot speak highly enough of Mayhew Funeral Home of Meredith! Our family has had the benefit of their care and help with four funerals since the 1980’s. They were always there to help in any way they could. Most recently, David Harris was our primary contact and was always very dependable and easy to reach every time I needed to contact him. When we visited the funeral home in person, we met Vicky, who was also very knowledgable and thorough. Both were very kind and helpful. Their service surpassed our expectations and made the entire memorial service, military honors, and burial a smooth experience for us. We are very pleased with their help with and handling of the whole process, and are blessed to have been able to have them facilitate it for us!

I had a lovely, tranquil facial with high quality products. Warm lux table, soft music, massage of hands and feet, deep cleansing and moisturizing. Perfect spa experience. Decided to add a pedi after as icing on the cake. I will be back again.
