“The office was lovely, nice and clean, and smelled nice. The refreshments were a nice addition, and the staff was super friendly and quick. I liked that they sent the referral, but still suggested calling the place just in case.“

“I gave it 3 stars only because I liked the NP I had. The clinic as a whole, not so much. When I tried to get an appointment as a new patient, the receptionist I spoke to wasn't pleasant (first red flag). Expect to schedule appointments after your refills unexpectedly run out. My husband is a diabetic and his meds shouldn't be held hostage like that. I've NEVER had to do this with any other PC doctor, so this feels like I am being forced to come in and pay to get my prescriptions refilled. If you're looking to have referrals done for anything, you will need to call them to find out if they even made the referrals that was requested. 2 months later and I am still waiting. I made a call to find a new doctor elsewhere and hopefully I won't get the same experience there.

Star Rating Update: It's actually a great office, I just had a bad experience with the receptionist at the time. After she was replaced, things improved. From check-in to examinations, it went really well!“

UNC Urgent Care at Flowers Medical Clinics

“Prescriptions sent to CVS in Flowers at 5:04 pm. We arrive at CVS to pick up the medicines around 5:08 pm. CVS says the received one of two of the prescriptions. The prescription they did not receive was the muscle relaxer that would help alleviate the back pain much sooner than the steroid. Now, as the patient's care taker I was asked to have to doctor call the CVS to submit the prescription because they cannot find it in their system. Well, the urgent care closes at 5pm. I go out to my car and get the print out of the visit summary and BOTH medications are listed on the office visit. Still, CVS needs a doctor to call them. I called UNC hospital to get someone to help verify the prescription was sent. They let me know doctors handle their own verification.

1. What is the point of being a UNC group of you are individuals that handle all of their patients and paperwork by yourself?
2. I believe the doctor sent in the medicines. Technology is great when it works, but cost us all greatly when it doesn't. Fix that, please.
3. Why could you not just write a prescription on a piece of paper or call it in? I was not offered a paper copy. Now, we have to wait until 8:00 tomorrow morning when you open.

Don't worry! CVS is getting this story copy and pasted with their own feedback so we can publicly get through this nightmare and hopefully no one goes through this again. Unacceptable.

Update: UNC staff have been extremely responsive and tried to help me to the best of their ability, despite the CVS in Flowers refusing to fill the Flexiril prescription electronically to them at 5:04 pm. What I learned today is CVS is a terrible business at the Flowers location. Please do not send your prescriptions there to be filled or you will suffer dealing with the customer service over there.“
