Just came for my first consultation at Milan on Franklin street. Sophie and Alexis gave me the warmest welcome as soon as I arrived. Sophie then took me on a great tour with friendly conversation. She did a great job educating me on the process, risks, benefits, and their current promotions. Sophie was extremely personable and even though the Durham location is closer to my apartment, I will be coming back to this location:) Karla did a fantastic job on my Brazilian, I didn’t feel a thing! Dr Cheng is one of the most conscientious and knowledgeable dermatologists that has cared for my sun damaged skin. She is respectful about what she calls the “wisdom” of aging skin. She is also very personable and collaborative with her medical staff during appointments. I highly recommend her.

I was looking for a place that had good reviews- I actually went on Google and this place had 5 stars. Not sure why it's so low here on Yelp but I highly recommend this salon. We were offered drinks and seated promptly for our special pedicure, we got the fall seasonal pedicure that was on sale and enjoyed it a lot! Nothing I hate more than paying good money for a pedicure and then feeling disappointed that it was too rushed. That's not the case here! This will be my go to nail salon in the area- a complete date would be going to the delicious Thai place next door:)

John Kelly's business recently completed a window replacement on the second and third floor of my house in Chapel Hill and I can say without a doubt the experience was the most positive I have ever had with a contractor. The end result was a beautiful and professional installation. In fact, the first floor window installation had been completed by another contractor 2 years ago (exact same window manufacturer), and John was able to show me, in detail, how his installation method is superior to the methods used by most window providers. There are many fine details (adding new window trim molding versus just covering the old window trim by bending thin metal over it) that John took the time to explain to me that I felt at the end of the job I could be confident it was a quality job well done. No shortcuts to save pennies by John (for his own profit and gain) was my gut feeling throughout the job.
John takes the customer experience very serious and keeps you updated on schedules, timing, steps of the installation being worked on, ect. There's no ambiguity like "when is the work crew going to show up" or "how much longer will this take" with John.
The final thing I really appreciated was John found some damaged wood that needed replaced around the exterior of the house and notified me by physically showing me the damage that needed repair, what my options where (fix now or it can wait), and clear and accurate pricing.
We are going to have John paint our entire house in the next 12 months as our confidence in his ability to provide excellent craftsmanship at very reasonable and competitive pricing is solid.
When John first visits to review your project needs, he offers to show you many homes in the area he has completed so you can see the quality for yourself.
Highly recommend this company. It was very refreshing to have such a quality experience with a contractor who obviously cares about craftsmanship and customer experience.

Lindsey is extremely talented!I first saw her 6 months ago where I was desperate for help with my dark, thinning hair and starting the battle with stray grays. And so it began- Lindsey came up with some ideas asked for my input and we put her plan into action! First she cut my stringy, past the shoulder length hair to just below my chin! Wow, the volume it added! From there we did lighter shades of highlights /hair painting to blend the gray while letting my hair grow a bit to shoulder length. This last visit we did the final phase of blonde!Lindsey was upfront with the process from the start. Knowing it would take time, money & effort to achieve the goal initially now we can just do maintenance ?Lindsey absolutely knows hair! She is a perfectionist and does not want you leaving nervous or unhappy. I chose to go out of my comfort zone going short and blonde because I trust Lindsey’s work. I would not have done this with just any stylist. Lindsey listens to my ideas, shares her extensive knowledge and executes a plan! Elena is the best esthetician I have ever worked with. She has the perfect touch that is both gentle and soothing, yet firm and invigorating in just the right places.
She is also extraordinarily mindful of her client's needs. I have allergies and sensitivities. Elena selected a few of the milder products, told me every ingredient, had me smell each option, and took the time to do test patches to make sure that the ones we chose would be safe. The products we ended up choosing felt absolutely wonderful and I had no issues at all. I'm grateful for her patience and concern for getting everything just right.

Drew is one of the finest barbers in Chapel Hill. If you are wondering about the quality of his work, just try and get an appointment. It's easier to get a reservation for dinner at the Angus Barn during the Christmas season than it is to get an appointment with Drew. His calendar "opens" one day at a time, five weeks in advance. If you miss the slots for that day, try again tomorrow. He is that busy because he's that good. No, he's not cheap so people don't flock there for the low prices. They go there because you get a great haircut at a price that you're willing to pay for a great haircut.

Today was my first time visiting Nail Tek and I had the best experience ever! Tang is very professional and patient, he did an amazing job on my acrylic fill and polish change. Definitely visiting again!
First experience at Malibu was excellent. The shop is peaceful and clean. Folks are welcoming and listen carefully. Pedicure was well done , comfortable and complete. Anna, the owner, is very personable and a perfectionist. She worked diligently to create my color wish for my dip powder manicure and did a meticulous manicure. Prices are very fair and no extra charges added for needed services. I had a top notch experience and will definitely return and continue to sing their praises.

Had been in Chapel Hill for a while. Time for a haircut. I did a Yelp search and saw that Salon 135 got 5 stars, so decided to check it out.
I had the chance to stop by in person and made an appointment last night for a haircut this afternoon. The lady at the front desk was quite friendly, and she assigned me to Jennifer because she is more experienced at cutting straight hair.
It was the Homecoming weekend, I had trouble finding parking, so I was about 15 minutes late when I arrived at the salon this afternoon. Jennifer was working on her client who had an appointment before me because he was 20 minutes late. So I had to wait for about 10 additional minute until she finished.
Jennifer was friendly and professional! She gave suggestions and worked with me on deciding the hairstyle I was getting. We had a good conversation during the haircut. I requested an additional layer when she was ready to wrap up. She immediately worked on it without further ado. My whole cut, which involved cutting away about 6 inches with lots of layering, took about 50 minutes from start to finish.
All in all, Salon 135 has a friendly and professional staff. The $38 women cut was worth the price!

I highly recommend Bret Parker from Circle City Lock and Key. We have had him come to our office to work on 2 different locking door problems and he is always very professional, knowledgeable and kind. He charges a fair price, and we will be using him again if we have any other lock problems.
Took them alittle while to get to my truck which cost me some work, (there was an illness to staff- understandable). They made good on the rekey and I think learn something about business. All said, if the staff is well they can rekey and reprogram just about any car, I would not hesitate to use them again. Definitely cheaper and quicker than any car dealer.

We initially hired him to remodel one of our bathrooms, which was a complicated job involving a major reconfiguration (e.g. adding a new door to the hall, reposition the guts of plumbing and electrical). He did a truly great job, and had excellent aesthetic suggestions. A year after working with him on the bathroom, we hired him to remodel our whole upstairs - again, he pays great attention to detail, and has excellent suggestions on what will work best. Now, we've asked him thoroughly update the house exterior. The most important thing is that I trust Bobby thoroughly and all of his employees.

My baby is now 8, and you would never know what she had gone through as a baby. She doesn't remember a thing and now LOVES to visit the dentist!I have 3 little girls now who come here.They are very thorough and explain everything to the little ones so they don't get scared. During the summer of 2022, our then 16-year-old daughter, Tori, let us know that she was having difficulty breathing while running, especially during hard workouts. Her breathing was labored and shallow. She told us it felt like I was breathing through a straw.
We started to pray for Tori’s lungs to be opened so she could breathe.
We sought advice from conventional health-care professionals about immune deficiency disorders, iron deficiency, and exercise-induced asthma. Tori tried an inhaler. It didn’t work. In fact, nothing worked.
Because Tori couldn’t breathe, she cut back on her training and races were full of anxiety about whether she would be able to breathe.
On September 17, 2022, Tori reached rock-bottom at a cross country race. She finished well-back in the pack. She was very disappointed and discouraged and was thinking of quitting.
My bride was able to get Tori an appointment with Dr. Gangemi. He diagnosed Tori’s problem as a diaphragm impingement and was able to fix the cause of her not being able to breathe. Prayer answered. Tori competed in the 2022 state meet, finishing 6th.
Tori has seen highs and lows – winning states as a sophomore, not being able to breathe as a junior and almost quitting yet finishing 6th at the 2022 state meet. This past season, she finished 2nd as a senior at the state cross country meet and received an athletic scholarship to run cross country and track at Hillsdale College.
To state the obvious, none of Tori’s accomplishments would have happened without God answering our prayer and guiding us to Dr. Gangemi and his holistic health care approach to fixing the problem, not the symptoms. We are extremely grateful.

After learning that Dr. DuBois had a background in sports medicine, I decided to transfer my care to his practice, and I've never regretted it!
Dr. DuBois is able to advise me on exercises to avoid when I'm in pain, as well as those I should focus on to strengthen my body to avoid further injury. The treatment he provides is painless and effective. Swiss Chiropractic will do their best to fit me into Dr. DuBois' schedule when I've called because I'm in pain. He and Robin are incredibly compassionate people, and everyone including the administrative staff has always treated me with the utmost courtesy and respect. I cannot say enough positive things to reflect the experiences I've had with Swiss Chiropractic Clinique. If you're in need of chiropractic care, I recommend them without hesitation!

Dr Cheng is one of the most conscientious and knowledgeable dermatologists that has cared for my sun damaged skin. She is respectful about what she calls the “wisdom” of aging skin. She is also very personable and collaborative with her medical staff during appointments. I highly recommend her.

They are amazing when it comes to getting treatments for Eczema!! I had a really bad case with my eczema all around my eyelid and on my arm and it was such a relief that my mom found this Dermatologist because I couldn’t handle my eczema anymore and now I feel so much better now that I used the treatment they gave me!! If I could give these guys 10 stars I would!! :D

As a first-time dog owner and college student, I found Meadowmont Animal Hospital after a lot of research for my English Lab puppy, Zane. I wanted a smaller practice where he’d get the most personal attention possible and Meadowmont has exceeded my expectations.

Dr. Gordon and Dr. Robertson are both amazing, though we mostly saw Dr. Gordon. The whole patient care team—Madeline, Samantha, and Cassidy—has been fantastic. They've made coordinating Zane’s care easy and helped me manage costs which was a lifesaver for me as a student. We just finished Zane’s first surgery (neutering), and everything went smoothly. Overall, Meadowmont Animal Hospital has made caring for Zane much less stressful. I highly recommend them!
I was extremely pleased with our experience at UrgentVet. We have a large goofy dog that likes to eat everything in his path. Someone threw chicken bones out of their window on our street and of course our dog found it on a walk and scarfed it down before we could even see that it was there. The staff at UrgentVet explained each step to remove the bone safely before it was performed and loved on our big boy like he was their own. The folks there are top-notch and I would recommend them to anyone!
This is one of the best yoga studios I have ever been to! The atmosphere is bright and welcoming. I love the encouragement walls. The instructors are absolutely AMAZING! I want to give shout out to Shelley, Kesley Bender, Dachin and Nimesha. My favorite class is the Feel Better Weights...come and check it out.
I adore this yoga studio and these amazing instructors. Definitely among the best in the Triangle if you are looking for an authentic experience grounded in yoga philosophy and deep knowledge of anatomy and asanas.
I have been taking classes at Franklin Street Yoga for about a year now. I found the studio right after I moved here and it quickly became my favorite thing about Chapel Hill. All of the instructors are wonderful. There are a wide variety of classes so there is surely something for everyone. I highly recommend this studio to any and all yoga students!
Yoga6 Chapel Hill is home away from home. All of the teachers and wellness staff are so welcoming! I always leave a class feeling better than when I came in. The best yogi regulars as well! A great variety of classes as well. Something for everyone.

I started Pilates a few years ago. After the pandemic I returned to Studio 8 and started taking classes with Penelope Barrow. Penelope is one of the best teachers I have had. Penelope is helping me improve my form and always takes time to explain a movement or exercise, why the form is important and how it should feel. As I look back over the years- the best teachers I have had have always been the hardest. I appreciate when Penelope pushes me as I know it’s in my best interest. I have also enjoyed private sessions and classes with those who have trained/are training under Penelope. The consistency from class to class and session to session is helpful for me. Judy and Laura are excellent!
I enthusiastically recommend both Emily and Owen at Triangle Body Therapy! I just had a fantastic session with Emily - I loved the combination of myofascial release work and massage, it was the best of both worlds. Her space is cozy and welcoming, and Emily is such a warm and skilled practitioner. The session left me both deeply relaxed and energized, I'm looking forward to seeing her again soon!

I've had dozens on dozens, probably nearing a hundred massages by 20+ massage therapists and its not crazy to say Marvin might be the best I've experienced. I move a lot for work and am typically seeking a new MT every few months, and I struck gold immediately with Marvin. He listens to every need and addresses them amazingly, I couldn't recommend more.
Kandi is one of a kind and really tends to what you’re dealing with in your back. She is a book of knowledge and it was so relaxing If you’re hesitating to book, just do it with her!!!
Victoria is fantastic!! She is the ultimate professional! She always asks questions at the beginning of each session to try and get an idea of troubling areas at that time. She then does a very thorough assessment and begins the treatment. There was one time that I forgot to tell her about a specific issue I was having before treatment. I could tell she found it during her assessment and worked on that area. I was amazed! She always consults at the end of each treatment, explains exactly what she found and offers movements that can be done at home to improve any areas of concern. Sometimes she will even pull out her anatomy book to explain. Highly recommend!

This was the best professional massage I ever had for a nervous system reset. Shoshanna took time to get to know me, was communicative, and used just the amount of pressure I like. If I was sensitive in one spot, she adjusted there, but kept good pressure in other places. Often when I ask for less in one spot a massage turns into a long caress and this wasn't the case. She also really took her time with me.
The oil she used smelled amazing. The room felt warm and bright on a dark day. I left feeling so relaxed.
Sarah has amazing gifts that can help you connect with your soul, gain spiritual clarity, release burdens (emotional, physical, karmic), get unstuck, and find your path to your most authentic expression. I recommend all of her services. I think I have tried them all and have benefited beyond measure by our work together. Sarah is safe, nonjudgmental, gentle, intuitive, and powerful. She is the best massage therapist I know, but she is so much more. If you are curious about her other offerings, give them a try. I have been amazed by how she has facilitated my growth and healing. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I’ve been coming here for over 5 years, and I always feel so at peace after a sound bath. It’s healing, meditative, and eases my anxiety and stress. Daran plays singing bowls, tuning forks, and the didgeridoo. My favorite is feeling the frequency of the drum playing over my body. Daran and Edie are kindhearted, and their space is warm and inviting. If you haven’t come here for a sound bath yet you are missing out!

Woke up with a killer headache. Natural Spa was able to get me in same day for a neck & shoulder chair massage. Communication was mainly through gestures. The massage was effective with deep pressure and I felt much better than when I came in. They gave me a small bottle of water after the massage. Massage chairs are in the front area so no privacy, as to be expected. I didn't see the back table massage rooms.
Last massage really loosened me up, scalp massage was amazing. Honestly, it’s been the best part of my recovery these last couple of weeks, and easier to do my PT exercises. My therapist Anna had a super cute and very relaxing accent, her voice is like a siren’s song so soothing

Natalie is amazing!!! My daughter had hip dysplasia when she was born and was in a Pavlik harness for 4 months. Once she got out, her gross motor skills were a bit delayed and Natalie worked with us to get her sitting up and crawling. She is so, so patient and creative and always came up with a clever way to get our stubborn girl to cooperate. She even worked remotely with us when in-person meetings weren't possible. I think with babies, excellent PTs are just as good with parents as they are with kids and Natalie was amazing with both of us--definitely helped me feel more confident in working with my kiddo throughout the day, even when we weren't in sessions. I 100% recommend working with Natalie and Move It PT!
I received physical therapy for arthritis in my neck and thoracic spine related to DISH. Dr. Jay is a caring and knowledgeable therapist who gave me excellent care. He has convenient office hours and was flexible to adjust to my work schedule. I am doing much better thanks to him! I would highly recommend Dr. Jay to anyone with spine problems/back and neck pain.
After being referred by my boss, Virginia was able to see me in a pinch to help alleviate some significant neck discomfort/restricted mobility. The appointment was quick and painless, and she was so kind and personable. I will most definitely be booking another appointment to look further into my neck/shoulder issues and get them resolved!!
It was hard to make the physical therapy appointment even though my insurance doesn't require a referral. But once I got my PCP to call one in, I had a great experience with several of the physical therapists. It's clearly one of the higher functioning, effective departments at UNC. (Minus whoever answers the phone.)
Wow, where to start?! The team at Results PT were remarkable, and helped me rehabilitate my knee from a total replacement surgery. Marissa is an extraordinary Physical Therapist who truly listens and cares about her patients. Jen was her student assistant, and she too was very personable, knowledgeable and caring. They both were very supportive and committed to my desire to get back to an active lifestyle, to include playing basketball again! I am forever grateful for their professionalism and friendly / fun style of care. I couldn't have had a more perfect PT experience, and although they worked me lovingly hard, I am walking normally again, and played basketball for the first time in over a year, and that's only 20 weeks after my most recent knee surgery! Anyone would be lucky to be able to have Results PT, Marrisa (and Brittany, RPT receptionist) for their rehabilitation services! Thank you!
After years of struggling with gut issues and many symptoms the western doctors didn't believe or had no idea how to treat, I finally found Carmela. She treated me for Alpha gal to begin with and my symptoms started getting better. I tested negative for alpha gal but I still felt weak and had gut issues. She then worked with me for months, with each treatment I felt stronger and more myself. My joint pain went away, if I did have an allergic reaction to chemicals (I have a severe chemical sensitivity and histamine intolerance disorder) my recovery time was faster, eventually I was able to eat some foods I had removed from my diet. In short, Carmela helped heal me when no one else could and many had tried and given up. I am so thankful for her care, her kindness, her amazing staff...My husband even started seeing Alicia at the office for acupuncture and had some great results. Susanna at SVA has completely healed me of chronic TMJ pain! I came to her desperate and in daily pain, and not only has my pain gone away, but she’s helped me in other areas of health too (more than some doctors over the years), including sleep and digestion, hormone balance, and stress management. She also gives great “take home” tips and advice, such as certain oils, exercises, and equipment for healing. I strongly recommend her, and I cannot imagine what my life would look like without her help.
