“This review is for Dr Audrey Blacklock,. I have been a patient of hers for several years and have been very satisfied. She took the time to explain my need for glasses and convinced me to try them vs. having readers everywhere. The progressive lens are equivalent or better to the readers and to my surprise, the distance lens is an improvement to around 20-15 vision, vs. the 20-20 I had without glasses. She's personable, professional, very competent and a whiz with the computer stuff.“

“Dr. Butcher was very friendly, attentive, caring and thorough. I was very frightened when going for the appointment because I had flashes and floaters that just appeared out of no where. I knew that I possibly had a retinal tear or detachment. He reassured me that it wasn’t and that it was cause by natural aging. He also scheduled me to see a retinal specialist to ensure all is well and to do follow-ups. I’d recommend Dr. Butcher to everyone!“

“This place was amazing! My husband had come home from work after a radon gas / plastic PVC pipe burst and blew out his eye. Literally sliced his eye in half! ( a clean slice across the cornea). He was in terrible pain, we went to ER with a wait and called the doctor to see if we could get in quicker and they said our best bet is to call an eye specialist. I thought for sure we wouldn't get in and I had no clue who to call. Tried a couple places by here in Platte Woods area but no appts for days. Called here and they said come right away. Long story short after a few visits (in their two locations) they completely repaired his eye, prescribed medicine for his discomfort and surgically repaired his eye completely. Now 20/20 vision in that eye. It was legit a miracle he didn't lose his eye in this whole episode. Highly recommend. The doctors were great and front office staff very professional, insurance covered most of it and didn't break the bank.“

He listened and found the best and most economical replacement of approximately 6 yr old magnetic sunglasses that fit my clear prescription lenses and critical to have driving directly against morning sun. “I originally choose this place because I wanted to support a local Brookside business and I've been very pleased with their services. You might have to jump through an extra hoop for insurance reimbursement compared to some of the national chains or network providers, but their exceptional service definitely makes it worthwhile.I wear both contacts and glasses. The contacts they recommended for me are the best I've ever had. They spent more time considering which line of contacts were most suitable for my vision problems than any other optometrist that I've been to.Same for the glasses as well. A great match for my vision problems. I got an expensive pair of lenses and then somehow manage to scratch them up 9 months later. I took them to get repaired and I was expecting to have spend hundreds on a new set of lenses. But they recognized that they were still under warranty. They handled shipping them to the manufacturer and then they were ready for me to pick up a week later...all at no extra cost to me.I really appreciate service like that and they definitely earned a new long-term customer.“
