“You will see unbelievably low prices advertised on TV for glasses. In my opinion, the short answer is you get what you pay for, but since your eyesight is better with even a bad fit and less than optimal lens material, you may not know how much better it could be if you relied on a professional fit and lens selection from a good optician.My budget certainly isn't unlimited, but enjoying the benefits of optimal eyesight is very important. I've learned from experience that unless you've had a professional optician help you with selecting and fitting a frame, selecting the right lens material and then ensuring the placement of variable focus lens in the frame is perfect, you may be missing out on more than you realize.In my opinion, Joe Bergman is not only one of the nicest and most thoughtful people I've met in a long time, he is also one of the best opticians in the KC area. He recently helped my wife and me select frames that are suitable for facial shape and optimal lens material that would provide the best results for our prescription. He then took time to measure exactly where the lens should be positioned in the frames after they were uniquely fitted to our faces to ensure optimal eyesight at all distances. We are absolutely thrilled with the results!!“

“Having a foreign body lodged in the inside of your eyelid continuously etching and re-etching your cornea and eyeball for 24 hours really puts "having a bad day" into perspective... although it sure puts everything else out of focus.I feel compelled to thank my eye doctor, Dr. Frankel, of Dr. Frankel Optometry in Lenexa KS for being the only one of 3 separate physicians who saw me for this issue to have the thoroughness to actually find and remove the offending particle from my eye. And if all that wasn't enough... he did all this on his day off. He voluntarily called me to follow up with me from my phone call to him during the previous evening, came into his office on his day off out of concern for me and invited me into an impromptu appointment. From my first phone interaction with Julie when I called to make an appointment (she proactively found my insurance benefits, explained what to expect, and detailed instructions on how to find them), to walking out of my first appointment with a smile on my face - every single person I interacted with at this office was top notch. Dr. Hunter was EXTREMELY thorough and helpful in explaining my options and short term care options in ways that my eye doctors for the last five years hadn't been able to do. “Consistently excellent eye care and customer service. Appointments are scheduled for when the doctor is actually available, so a minimum of your time is wasted in a waiting room. Once in the exam room the time is yours and the explanations and recommendations are clear and as thorough as needed. Top class staff in the office as well. I would recommend to anyone in the area to see them as their first choice.“

“This review is for Dr Audrey Blacklock,. I have been a patient of hers for several years and have been very satisfied. She took the time to explain my need for glasses and convinced me to try them vs. having readers everywhere. The progressive lens are equivalent or better to the readers and to my surprise, the distance lens is an improvement to around 20-15 vision, vs. the 20-20 I had without glasses. She's personable, professional, very competent and a whiz with the computer stuff.“

He listened and found the best and most economical replacement of approximately 6 yr old magnetic sunglasses that fit my clear prescription lenses and critical to have driving directly against morning sun. He checked my insurance and found I'm covered and plan on returning after getting my prescription from optometrist.“
