“Kennedy paid attention to what I needed and made me feel supported and motivated as an individual and as part of the group. I definitely needed that! I'm new to this type of workout, but it was challenging and supportive. Can't wait to go back!“

Viverant Physical Therapy Pilates

“Long story short: Katrina, Kera, and Viverant are giving me my body and my life back. I was very ill for the past year and have been slowly working to regain my stability and stamina while learning about my lifelong hypermobility and what changes I need to make to my movement patterns to stay healthy. I have previously been an accomplished cyclist and weightlifter, and I now believe I can someday get back to it.“

Alotapilates Pilates

“I am absolutely hooked on Alotapilates! The instructors are all fantastic, especially Mary!

It is a complement to my cardio and HIIT classes. It really teaches me how to cultivate a mind-body connection, which I’ve never paid attention to for the many years of workouts I’ve done! Pilates has also taught me how to engage my core and how all movements stem from my core.
I have noticed a marked improvement in my posture, flexibility and core strength.
I love my pilates classes and also the special events- Sound Baths on Sundays!!!!
I look forward to every session.“

the barre Wayzata Pilates

“My girlfriend and I signed up for a class here to see what barre was about, to say the least we very much felt the burn. She enjoys going to barre when she's able to make time for it and says so far this has been the best barre studio near the cities and receives clear instruction throughout class everytime. Parking is very accessible. The views from the studio are amazing and the classes are never over packed.“

750 2nd St NE, Hopkins
Bodiology Pilates Pilates

“Wonderful pilates studio with a great instructor. Pilates is a great low impact way to get active - especially if you are just starting out. And Bodiology is a great place to learn. The studio is conveniently located off of 394 with plenty of parking. Inside it has high ceilings, skylights, hardwood floors with boho carpets and a fireplace. It’s warm and welcoming space. Not intimidating and cold like so many gyms! The instructor, also a Catherine, is patient and really cares that you learn and take care of your body. She is great at explaining everything and matching the speed at which you learn. I really enjoy working with her! Check out her Groupon specials for beginners, but make sure the times work for you before purchasing :).“

Awaken Pilates Studio - Minnetonka Pilates

“Heartwarming. Healing. Restorative. I love the small classes. They max out at 6 students. Instructors are all very consistent in how they lead their classes: 1. Nice variety in exercise 2. Great attention to the unique needs of every student 3. Excellent cues and attention to coaching proper form without overwhelming students I feel like I progress in every class bc each instructor also brings their own flavor and vibe getting to know their students and helping them advance. Studio is clean and cheery. Equipment is well maintained. Instructors are extremely caring, knowledgeable, and empathetic. Notes for those considering pilates for the first time. Start with private lessons. Get the basics down. Then switch to a class that consistently has 6 or less students. A good instructor should be very hands on and have the ability to coach all students in their class vs just call out the sequence. pilates is all about proper form and fine tuning of muscles for optimum performance. Too large of a class and you won't get the optimal benefit out of the class bc the instructor won't be able to individually observe and guide you.“
