27300 John R Rd, Madison Heights“Booked a 60 min couples massage. The studio was great, had a nice smell. My massage was done by uni. She was absolutely amazing. She made My first massage ever a great experience.
My fiancé massage on the other hand was terrible. The women who was working on him was scratching his back and when he told her she let out a big sigh like she was annoyed with the feedback and stated “I’m barely even touching you” and after rubbing down his arms or legs he said she would just drop them like she didn’t even care. He stated she put the oil directly on his body instead of her hands. She spent too much time on his hands and neck. His massage was the worst and you could tell the women didn’t want to be there and showed no passion. She needs to be retrained on care and compassion with this line of work.“

330 E Maple Rd Suite H, Troy“THE BEST HIDDEN GEM MASSAGE THERAPY CENTER IN OAKLAND COUNTY!!!
I can't express in words fully how much I love this place and their therapists. Rebecca has done an amazing job with selecting her team. Vincent has magical hands. His ability to target large muscle groups and hold pressure on traumatized muscles and tendons should be illegal, but I am happy it is not. If you're an athlete, THIS IS YOUR MAN! Professional, accommodating, knowledgeable and truly listens to what your body needs.“

8373 Old 13 Mile Rd, Warren“I started with the 10 day for $10 beginners package and tried a variety of classes, then I signed back in for another month. I'm an older woman and a true beginner - zero flexibility and terrible balance. In just 2 weeks my balance began to improve. The flexibility is going to take a little longer but I know it will come. I enjoy the peacefulness of yoga and the participants are really nice, non-judgmental and very supportive. In the studio, there are no expectations. The level you are at is the level you are at. I like that I can progress at my own rate and am not intimidated. So far, the only instructor I've had is Patty. She's great and makes very gentle corrections. If you're thinking about yoga but worried about being intimidated by a room full of perfect people doing perfect poses - try the beginning classes at Strongheart - whatever level you are at is acceptable and you won't be disappointed.“

“Love the mommy and baby classes. Instructors are engaging and fun. On top of yoga, they incorporate music, songs and free play for the kids. Great thing to do to get out of the house with your little one, especially during the colder months!“

69 W Forest Ave, Detroit“Almost the perfect set up for my yoga addiction. I live in Ohio and have only experienced Detroit Yoga online. They have a fantastic streaming set up - which works just about all the time. The few occasions there are technical issues, they have a wealth of recorded videos available in their library. The studio offers a lot of classes every day and many great instructors. During the week, there noon, 4:30 and 5:30 classes which fits my work schedule great. I work from home and enjoy taking a lunch break or catching a class to end my day. The only thing I would like better is more yin/restorative classes and a little cheaper monthly fee. I highly recommend you check it out if you are at all interested.“

1204 E Eleven Mile Rd, Royal Oak“I highly recommend the Center for Iyengar Yoga for all who have an interest in connecting body, mind and breath to serve your well-being. Under the instruction of the Center Director, Christopher Briney, everyone can learn to make these vital connections within. No matter your age, perceived physical limitations, Chris will work with you and meet you where you are on your yoga journey. Whether you are a beginner, new to the Iyengar method or advanced and looking to deepen your practice, this is the studio for you. The sessions are like semesters which are great for development of your practice. Drop-in classes are also available for those wanting to give it a try. There is much value in having a teacher who is also a continuing student. The Center Director continues to take classes from Prashant Iyengar and the value is passed on to those fortunate enough to study at The Center for Iyengar Yoga Royal Oak. Classes are also available online. In person classes offer the additional benefit of all necessary equipment being provided including mats. The studio is beautiful and clean. The teaching includes philosophy of yoga and personalized attention to detail as the Director takes the time to get to know you and any physical limitations that may require alternative pose options. Classes at The Center for Iyengar Yoga Royal Oak have a positive health impact that goes beyond the physical.“
“Amazing classes for everyone from beginner to advanced. Instruction is top notch and offer modifications that help me get deeper into the practice through breath and movement. I love the traditional yoga feel of ashtanga and also enjoy the modern upbeat of vinyasa. Five Stars! xx“

13911 19 Mile Rd, Sterling Heights“I recently attended a hot yoga class led by Jake at the Rochester studio, and it was a wonderful experience! Jake's guidance was both calming and motivating, the session was enjoyable and challenging at the same time. He offered space for variation and was encouraging. The studio itself had a welcoming atmosphere and the woman at the front desk was attentive and kind. I left feeling refreshed and excited to return for more sessions. Highly recommend giving Jake's class a try for anyone looking to deepen their yoga practice“

“My friend and I did a stay at the room here that was listed on AirBNB, which also gets you free admission into The Schvitz as well during your stay, so it was really cute! The room itself (a bedroom and a living room space) was super cutely decorated and the perfect amount of room for the two of us doing an overnight stay. The overall Convent space is pretty interesting and unlike anywhere I've ever stayed before. The downstairs space is a very large rooms/event spaces that are all decorated with bits of art from local artists that you can purchase and is independently run from the AirBNB. There was an event they were setting up for in the downstairs space for later that evening when we showed up and I believe the event happened and was taken down in the span of time it took for us to go out to dinner and come back, so that was interesting lol! The upstairs space is a long hallway with various different businesses in rooms on either side of the hall, with the high majority of these businesses focused on holistic healing and arts. My friend and I took advantage of our close proximity to these businesses and booked individual sessions with an energy healer that did energy readings of us, which was very enlightening for the both of us! The bathroom for the AirBNB is communal and located at the end of the hallway on this second floor closest to the AirBNB, but I assume that everyone in the building can access it as it has two stalls, two sinks, and a shower if you're so inclined as well. All in all, it was a good experience and I'm glad to have done it, but I don't know that I would personally do it again. I felt a steady level of anxiousness the entire time I was here, which I'm not entirely sure where that came from, but I think I could just chalk it up to me being in a space where I didn't feel completely safe even though there wasn't anything specific that made me feel unsafe here by any means. I just felt a tiny bit on edge the entire time I was here.“

31815 Southfield Rd #14, Beverly Hills“Warm, welcoming, clean studio. Top notch instruction, overall five star heated vinyasa flow for this experienced yogi. Thanks Steph!“
“We had our sons birthday party here and Juliana was our host. We had a fantastic experience, the space was perfect and so cute and cozy. Juliana was so helpful and made us feel so comfortable: offering to get music on, helping set up and clean up, being so kind and patient as this was the first birthday party (outside of just family) I’ve thrown for our little guy! The space has lots of options for creative, low stimulation, imaginative play. I do think the space is best suited for 3 and under birthday party as any older you may need a bit more space. But our sons 3 year old party where children were all 3 and under: it was perfect and definitely recommend!!“

Five Five Five Building, 555 S Old Woodward Ave Suite 21L, Birmingham“Exceptional Yoga Studio with Amazing Instructors!
I first experienced yoga in the 1960s and 1970s in NYC when it was viewed as a unique and transformative experience. In those days, I recall it being more spiritually oriented. For many, including me, practicing yoga back then was to embrace the hippie movement, the pursuit of peace, love, and expanded consciousness. I recall doing yoga in parks, communes, and spiritual retreats.
Fast speed ahead 50 years. From the moment I stepped into Community Yoga Studio (CYS], I knew I had found something special. The space is serene, welcoming, and perfectly designed for deepening both physical practice and mindfulness.
A huge highlight of my experience has been Sam—a phenomenal instructor. Sam’s guidance is both encouraging and insightful, making every class feel accessible yet challenging in all the right ways. Her ability to create a positive, uplifting atmosphere make each session truly exceptional. Whether you’re new to yoga or have been practicing for years, Sam has a way of making everyone feel seen, supported, and inspired.
Beyond the incredible instruction, the studio itself is spotless, well-equipped, and offers a great variety of classes to fit every mood and level. The sense of community here is wonderful, and I always leave feeling refreshed, recharged, and grateful.
If you’re looking for a yoga studio where you’ll feel truly welcomed and supported, CYS—and especially Sam—is the perfect choice. Highly recommend!“

500 S Washington Ave, Royal Oak“Citizen Yoga and its staff are excellent! The studio has a great atmosphere, and I’ve really enjoyed all of the classes I’ve taken there. I’ve attended classes with live music and practices other than yoga which were all great, but my routine class is Melissa Wagasy’s Sunday morning Blend. This wonderful class eases into a flow that builds heat, followed by a slow down. Melissa has built a variety of playlists that are a perfect companion to the pace of the class. I find myself looking forward to those challenging, yet rewarding 75 minutes all week long. I really enjoy her as an instructor and plan to continue to take her classes as I develop my practice.“
