I moved to Michigan from Illinois about 2 years ago and have been making the trip back and forth to get my hair dyed and cut. It is a brutal 6 hour round trip, but I’ve had the same stylist for over 30 years, which is why I had been so reluctant to find a new stylist out here. I finally did some research and came across Bombshell Salon & Spa. I called to make an appointment and just asked that I get a stylist that knows how to deal with curly hair. I was matched with Kortney. I was so nervous to have someone else do my hair! I explained to Kortney the color I needed on my roots and showed her some inspiration pictures for my cut. I may have been a bit overbearing, but Kortney never even seemed phased. She listened to me and understood what I wanted. The color was spot on, my cut was so pretty and the head message I got when she washed my hair was divine! My 15 year old daughter wanted her dark hair lightened. She had gotten highlights done by another professional but was not happy. Before we even get in to the haircut, we have to talk about the vibe in this shop. They have that old school close community feel that Nefty has brought together. I have been going to Erick for years, he is a great family man so it goes deeper than the haircut for me. That being said he never disappoints, the cut is always top notch. This is a real Gem of Holland!

I started doing red light therapy for my sciatic nerve pain and my Neuropathy. I really noticed the difference after a few visits. It’s a big relief. When I first started I went 5 days in a row and now go every other day. If I’m feeling a little down I’ll go do red light and I always feel better after. UPDATE: As she stated below in her response, Quinn did reach out to me after I sent her my concerns in an email. She did offer to return my Sunday fee and said she will be mailing that out to me. She did also offer an apology and validate our feelings about the experience, which I appreciate. I have updated my rating to 4 stars due to her quickly following up and doing what she logically could to make it up to us.
We got married last Sunday and the salon is closed that day, so in order to use them, we had to pay an extra $250 fee to have them come in. We decided to go with them anyway, because they are located right inside the Baker Events building, which is where our wedding was. I was in communication with Madison in the months leading up to our event and she was always pleasant and answered my questions. About two months ago she sent me a final schedule for everyone in the bridal party to get hair and makeup and had it set perfectly to have us done in time for our first look photos. Most of our bridal party arrived at 9am, some arriving for their services, per the schedule, and the rest of us to begin decorating for the wedding. Except when we got there, we were taken out of order and both of us brides were asked to get started right away, giving us no time to be involved in our decorating and having to call in friends to help, as our hair and makeup were slotted for 11am and 12pm, again per the schedule they had provided.
There were three girls there, Tida, Hannah, and Quinn, the owner. We really liked the makeup that Tida did and one bridesmaid loved her updo that Hannah did. Shockingly, when it came to the hair that the owner Quinn did, it totally missed the mark and she was the one that made us all feel like she was rushing to get through everyone so she could get out of there. She also wasn't really personable at all, almost like an "I'm better than you" vibe, but fortunately the other girls were nice and chatted with us.
My mom's hair looked flat and my wife's hair was supposed to be a low, side bun but instead the bun was higher up and in the center. She had these wire clips with jewels on them and one was apparently broken and instead of saying anything, she put the jewel back in the case and put the empty wire in her hair. For the front, she asked if she could trim the two long strands on either side of her head and my wife said yes, but they ended up getting chopped and were then just two flat, whispy strands.
To top it off, while the last bridesmaid was in getting her hair finished up, the owner started turning lights off in the salon. This was all before 12pm when we were scheduled to be in there until 1pm.
Later, when I happened to walk passed the salon again, I saw two of the girls in there doing each other's hair which left me feeling like if I hadn't paid $250 extra for you to come in, would you be in here doing this right now? All after rushing us through in under two hours, when the original schedule was for three, it felt like we were totally unappreciated as clients and mostly by the owner of all people.
Maybe if you're young, straight, and super cute you'll be treated differently?

She did a great job - she spent an hour and a half cutting, washing and then styling for me.I didn't feel rushed at all.It's a tiny room with 3 chairs for cutting and I believe 1 bowl for washing.They have a dog their that will be happy to sit in your lap while you get, whatever you are getting done, done!I believe the lady who did my hair was named Melany. She was friendly, not overly talking about HER stuff and allowed me to ramble on about my own life and was kind about it ? as I like to talk.I will be honest, it needs to be cleaned.
My wife had sciatic pain during her third trimester and tried stretches, exercises, and chiropractic but the massage she got at body perfections was the only thing that relieved the pain and it completely subsided shortly after. Her prenatal massage was around 33 weeks. Had a pretty big bump but the special pillows on the massage table made things feel very safe (not squished)

From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. April, my massage therapist, was amazing—she made me feel completely comfortable and cared for throughout the session. The massage was so relaxing and just what I needed before baby arrives. I’m so glad I treated myself and will definitely be coming back for another session postpartum. Getting pampered like this is a must during pregnancy!

I absolutely love getting tattooed here! I’ve been tattooed by both Audrey and Courtney, both are super sweet and will work with you on your design to make the best piece possible. The shop environments is super inviting and it’s just a comfortable place to be tattooed. I love the stencil mirror/lanterns and all of the natural light the space has.
Cleanliness: Everyone I’ve been tattooed by here sets up their station after you come in so you know that you’re always getting sterile equipment, they change their gloves often and clean up everything before you leave.

We had called Ottagon plumbing emergency service. No one answered, no one called back. Under our trailer it was leaking due to a disconnect in pipes. We were trying to put in a new water facut out side and it disconnected from the pipes. We found Bobs Tolsma plumbing by a simple google search and right when we called he answered right away. They sent someone out in 25 minutes!!! (This was a Sunday by the way!) Not only were they fast but he connected the pipes and also connected our new facut for a very reasonable price. We will definitely be calling them for future services going forward! 100% recommended!! Thank you for your help!
I had our water lines and drain relocated for a new bathroom vanity installation. Brian arrived on time and started by checking the access needed both in the bathroom and downstairs ceiling.
I expressed my concerns about using PEX tubing vs copper and asked what he thought was a better choice for my application.
After explaining the advantages of both, I decided to go with PEX type A. Brian was very organized and efficient and completed the work in a couple of hours. I am very happy with the work he did.
Everything was installed neat and clean when he finished.
I will definitely recommend ALL STAR PLUMBING for any remodeling or new construction.

Our experience with Macatawa Plumbing has been excellent. Karsten and Ryan installed a new hot water heater and sump pump. They arrived on time and were very professional, polite, and personable. They performed the installation, disposed of the old heater, left no trace behind and cleaned up completely prior to leaving. They finished in an appropriate amount of time and provided excellent instructions about the new equipment. I couldn't be more pleased with how the process went, from start to finish. We will definitely use Macatawa Plumbing from now on, for all our future plumbing needs.

Hats off to this professional organization, especially technicians Ken and Nick. When they arrived I advised them of the fryer vent exhaust coming through the HVAC return vent in the living room. I’ve enquirer from many contractors, HVAc and otherwise, all to no avail of determining the cause. Ken and Nick located the problem and allowed me to describe the situation to a contractor as to how to repair the issue.

Overall, my Baumann home purchase has been a very positive experience [so far]. My last builder, who shall remain nameless, was the cheapest, entry-level builder in the region, and this has been a major upgrade in soooo many tangible ways.
Negotiating with Baumann on one of their specs was pretty stressful. Their counter-offer on their own listing was actually almost $20K higher, which left me feeling jaded, but this home checked all the boxes. They attributed that to higher costs. I attribute that to me paying for a three-week corporate cruise through the Med. [Avoid Ibiza! ?]
My spec home was also staged with suuuper ugly furniture for photos. This caused damage to both the walls and floors that I cannot address because I didn’t notice them during our walk-through. If you buy a spec of theirs, my best advice would be to ask if it was staged, and if so, do a close inspection of the door frames and the flooring.
It is a seriously beautiful home, though, right on Lake Mr. Business, and I definitely get the impression that they take pride in their construction. Both Baumann reps that I have met have been nothing short of excellent and knowledgeable. Michael, the project manager for my development, is dynamite, another testament to their quality.
My first builder wouldn’t even let me inside the house without a scheduled visit without a rep of theirs; Baumann told me where the keys are and basically said, “enjoy and congrats ✌️.”, which, again, is testament to their confidence in their product quality.
What once bought a loaf of bread now barely buys a cup of broth, and that trend seems to have ebbed towards spartan work. (ie no gutters, no garbage disposal, top soil, etc.) so maybe best to manage expectations if you’re on a budget.
Again, overall, thrilled with my home. It’s easily a 9.5/10 and very happy with Baumann, but be ready drop a coin or two to make your dream home a reality.
Best, most responsive customer service I have had in years. They do what they say they will do and they do it promptly and effectively. I don't think anyone could ask for more. 5 stars for sure.

Their team did amazing work building a 6'x40' block retaining wall, gutter drain tile installation, aluminum edging and fabric install, lawn final grade and leveling, and hydroseed. Their quality is impeccable, and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a high-end service quality at a very competitive price.
We have used Aesthetic Gardener for our lawn care, snow removal, and fall clean-up for a couple of years now. They are very responsive and do a great job.

We had Steve and Trav’s remove a large maple tree that was starting to rot out in the lower part of the tree which put it at risk for breaking and damaging the surrounding landscape or our home.Travis’ quote was significantly less than two other tree services. They arrived on time with equipment and crew ready to do the work. We were so impressed with the skill they showed in cutting down limbs and logs and bringing them down with ropes to direct where they fell. We had many other trees surrounding the tree that was removed and none of them were harmed. They cleaned up all the leaves and small branches and kept checking with us throughout the work. A great family company with lumberjack skills!
Anderson Family Dentistry is an extraordinary dentist office in Holland. I’ve had the pleasure of going to Dr. Tom & Dr. Jackie my entire life. Not only do they provide exceptional care, but they also provide exceptional respect and courtesy to all their patients and never fail to make me feel welcome. This extends outside of the office as well, as I’ve run into Dr. Tom out and about, whether that’s at a restaurant or a Michigan football game, and he always stops to say hello and ask how I’m doing. Dental hygienist Tori has cleaned my teeth the last few times and has done a remarkable job each time. I would recommend Anderson Family Dentistry to anybody without hesitation.

Dental Hygienist Kim was personable, diligent and as gentle as possible in providing a thorough cleaning. Dr. Lebster spent more time than I expected reviewing my dental history and his assessment of my dental health. This is a great practice and I am thankful we discovered Lakeshore Dentistry for our dental care.

I Had an unexpected toothache with extreme pain. I found Dr. Gardner‘s office and discovered I had to have the tooth pulled. The office staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and the service I received from Dr. Gardner was exceptionally professional and caring.. Mr. Brown was Super knowledgeable and kind. He treated my juiliana pig Pua like a pet. I drove 3 hrs for an amazing veterinarian visit. I definitely recommend for pet piggies.
I take my cat here, they have evening hours which is awesome. Always clean, and the staff know a lot about cats (I've never asked about dogs or exotics, because I don't have any).
The best place ever for your pet care! We have had nothing but great things to say for the last 25 plus years having Jim, Kay, Sue and the rest of the gang taking care of us. I recently had to put our black lab down and was amazed at the compassion and professionalism of the staff, even sending us a sympathy card signed by the whole staff. Highly recommend!
I had a rather complex issue with one of my animals who had an ongoing neurological problem that required compassion and knowledge. Dr. Swift asked detailed questions that were reflective of her intrinsic interest in bringing relief to my distressed boy. She spoke candidly and listened to my concerns. She was thorough and concise. I'm happy to say that the condition I once considered untenable, has worked itself out with Dr.Swift's help. I'm not sure what I would have done otherwise. I have seen several vets over the years. It's worth it to travel farther to see her.
Dr. Sue and her team at the Animal Clinic have been excellent in their care of our pets over the years. Our GSD has been treated for a skin condition, a UTI, cyst removal, general vaccinations and health checks. They also spotted a cancerous growth on our french bulldog's tail and helped us get set up with the appropriate surgeon to have it removed. Great people that care!
I have had an AMAZING experience with my three dogs here. We moved here from Kalamazoo last year, and I have visited this clinic many of times due to various health concerns with my dogs. I had been to a couple vets previously in Kalamazoo, they all didn’t seem to take my concerns very seriously, didn’t have room for months out, and cost so much. Yes, I have spent a lot of money at this clinic, as expected for three dogs. But it’s more affordable, and has far better care than all previous vets I’ve been to. They also have available appointments for pets far quicker than any other vet I’ve been to! They don’t just take care of their pet clients, but also human clients too. Also, the front desk staff is awesome!
I truly can’t imagine going to another vet, and I appreciate them so much!
That did an excellent job grooming my Orrie, who can get a bit squirmy! He looks fantastic. I had them file his nails as they are big for such a small dog. So happy with the results! The staff are friendly and supportive, kudos to Paws in the City.
Heather does amazing work! My German Shepherd has anxiety and Heather's calming nature tones down this anxiety ALOT. I've been going to Heather for a couple years and every time I am impressed with her work. Prices are very reasonable.
Emma is absolutely THE BEST! She took such good care of Posie when she had a hot spot and ear infections. Posie got a wash, blowout, ear cleaning, nail trim & file, and a haircut in less than an hour. All of the girls are so efficient and kind. The pricing is also very affordable. I will never stop referring everyone I know to TCBL!!!

after being groomed at Diamonds in the Ruff! We are visiting from out of town and our trip was unexpectedly extended. Our girl needed a bath and a good brushing! Thank you to Jen and others for squeezing sweet Honey in and taking such good care of her. It can be scary using a groomer you don’t know, but they made us feel right at home!
Our dog Lily has been to the dog house numerous of times for boarding and grooming. She loves it there! They take such good care of our girl and she is always looking her best when she comes out of her grooming appointments. We appreciate you dog house resort!
My daughters gave me this pain/stress reduction massage as my Mother's Day gift. I experience chronic pain, and have had massage elsewhere in the past. Rachel was professional, empathetic, and kind. She checked with me often, and kept the lune of communication open. I experienced a great deal of immediate relief; though I need to work on my daily routine. I did wake with nausea the day following my massage, but that is quite common for me, due to my lymph system and having rheumatoid arthritis. I highly recommend Massage Sci, and will utilize Rachel's services in the future.
The location was very easy to find and had plenty of parking. My wait time was almost nothing, and the treatment room was very private and had a calming ambience. I felt instantly at ease.

I had a pretty good experience with Macatawa (I took segment 1 and segment 2 through them). As a student I really appreciated that they valued maturity and character, not just test scores. My segment 2 instructor did a good job at approaching topics we'd discussed previously (during segment 1) from a new perspective. The questions he asked about our experience and future with driving pushed me to truly consider if I was ready for my license, which was good because it's a big responsibility. Overall, it was a decent experience and the classroom instructors were very chill while also adequately teaching about the risks and responsibilities that come with driving.
Todd Gorsuch is a great driving instructor who always made me feel comfortable, even when I was nervous or made mistakes. He is attentive, patient, and clear, and gave me the confidence I needed to become a safer and more capable driver. He always provided constructive feedback in a supportive way. On the other hand, Dana Saunders was incredibly hostile to me from the start of the drive until the end. She was constantly insulting me, sighing at me, and not providing clear instructions. Safe to say I was shocked at the lack of professionalism from her.
