“I first met Larry and his crew a couple of years ago when we moved into an old house in Heritage Hill. They tuck pointed the chimney, installed a new cap and repaired our two inoperable fireplaces.Living in a drafty Heritage Hill home during the winter requires an ongoing effort to keep the cold out and the heat in. I was aware that our fireplaces lacked flue dampers but just lived with it our 1st two winters. I researched having chimney cap dampers installed but always held off because of the cost.I texted Larry a couple of weeks ago, sent him a picture of the open flues, and asked for an estimate. He got back to me right away and was able to install the caps within a couple of days. The job involved using a lift to move the installers to the top of the chimney where they snaked two cables down the separate flues to the fireboxes. The cables were clamped in place by a pull chain.We noticed a difference in the temperature in our living room and master bedroom almost immediately. The dampers are easy to use and seem to be very efficient. A couple of days after the installation the clamp in our living room fireplace came loose. I texted Larry a picture of the issue and he had his installers over the next day to fortify the clamp.I’ve found Larry and his staff to be really reliable and responsive. I feel very comfortable that if a problem pops up he will handle it. I highly recommend B&B.“

When one of his subcontractors left an area less than expected, MacKenzie went over and above to make sure it was taken care. I was very appreciative. I love my new basement suite and that is thanks to MacKenzie and his team.“
“The tech did more than expected. For example, when he placed the laundry sink back in place, he made sure the faucets which had been frozen were working. He has done extra in the basement to make it look presentable after the waterproofing people did their job. He has made sure that the area where the waterproofing people went through the walls were enclosed. This was not on the original list. He has one more area to complete that task. The bathroom still has the ends to put on the closet. There are other areas that had water damage that could be fixed due to rotting wood that were not on the original lost. Some of this work involves replacing paneling that was destroyed by water.Services: Repair water fixtures“
“I had a furniture claim that had taken way too long to resolve. I give them 4 stars only because of the quick turnaround time I received after reaching out to the upper management. Customer service was seemingly non-existent. I was under the impression maybe they only had 1 person handling claims. But I contacted upper management and brought the issue to their attention. They jumped on it within minutes and had the issue resolved within 24 hours. Hopefully it opened their eyes to the issues and they can address the communication issues that Guardsman has been having.“
