“I lived with my dog Samson across four states over the course of ten years, and going to Heart and Paw is the only time he became obsessed with the vet. He cried when we drove past it like we were passing a dog park. When we arrived for appointments multiple vet techs would run out to fawn over him. If he had to go in the back you could hear everyone oohing and awwing over him. Eventually he earned the tag of “sweetest dog ever” in his pet profile.

When he passed unexpectedly at an emergency vet, I stopped by Heart and Paw to give them a card and a picture. The vet techs held me and cried with me. Dr. Cleveland stopped what she was doing and, because he had ultimately been euthanized, assured me that I had done the right thing and that she would have made the same decision.

They gave Samson so much more than required while he was alive, and gave me so much more than required once he passed. I’ll love them forever.“

She is always eager to head back and play, and after we pick her up, she ends up sleeping most of the evening. We know she’s having lots of fun and getting out all her energy. Emily, Rinnie, Nelson, and Abby are all fantastic, and I know our baby is in good hands when we see them at the front desk.“

“We tried boarding our highly anxious cat for the first time while abroad so someone could give her the anti-anxiety pills every morning.

While our baby had a complete meltdown and became highly aggressive as soon as we left, the staff did everything they could to calm her and make her more comfortable. We were given updates on her status everyday and, at some points, were in even closer/more constant contact as we were concerned. At no point did they give up trying and when I came in early to pick her up, I could see just how much they cared for her and at no point did anyone blame her, they were so sympathetic to her anxiety kept reassuring me that she was not aggressive, she was just distressed, which is the exact mentality you would want from the people taking care of you pet for a weekend.

To the owners and staff, I just want to truly thank you all so much for the way you handled the situation and how you took such great care of our cat where many places would have given up with the behavior she was exhibiting.

“I brought my cats in today for a shave, heavily matted medium hair. I was told by my local vet that they would need to sedate her and it would cost hundreds of dollars ($400). I was told by Petsmart and Banfield that she needed to be medicated and it would cost over a hundred dollars. If you have a pet that needs grooming, these people are AMAZING with animals. I am impressed every single year. They handle my cats better than I can. She did not hiss, scratch, bite or cry - calm the entire time. I trust them. Highly recommended. Please tip if you can. They are worth it.“

“Great experience with District Dogs. They were fast, convenient, and took excellent care of our dog while we were in town and couldn’t bring him certain places with us. “Today we took our dog Luna to the veterinarian, Dr. Logan Murray, and we had such a great experience. My husband and I live in Georgetown, and we had trouble finding a good vet for a long time — but we finally found DuPont Veterinary Clinic, and they were amazing.

Dr. Logan Murray is a genuinely kind and caring person. He treated Luna so gently and patiently, and Luna was very well-behaved thanks to how comfortable he made her feel. The examination was very thorough, and while discussing which vaccines Luna needed, he was extremely honest. If something wasn’t necessary for her, he said so and never tried to push extra services or take our money. That level of honesty really means a lot to us.

The assistants working there were also amazing — very professional, attentive, and kind. The clinic was spotless and very clean. This was our first time visiting, and we’re pretty sure this will be our regular vet from now on. Even the treats they gave Luna were great!

“I came here after reading mixed reviews online, so I wasn’t fully sure what to expect. Honestly, the experience ended up being pretty good. My border collie was covered in mud after a weekend outdoors, and they managed to get him spotless without shaving his coat too short. There was about a twenty-minute delay at pickup because they were understaffed that day, but the front desk apologized and kept customers informed. My dog looked happy, smelled clean, and slept peacefully all evening afterward.“

“Palisades Vet has been great. They have treated both of my cats very well, whether it is vet appointments, occasional boarding stays when I am out of town, or dental work. The staff is friendly as well. I know my cats are in good hands with the people there.“

“I called ahead of time to let them know my dog was wobbling back and forth. I was so scared as she never had anything like this happen to her. This was at four in the afternoon. They were quick and kind caring for my fur baby and me since I was a bit emotional from worrying. I am thankful for their swift care for her.
