“Our English Mastiff had an ear infection for months. He had been to his vet for it and it didn't go away. Then he was sedated, the ear was flushed at a UC vet and it still came back. He has been on so many rounds of antibiotics and nothing worked. My brother in law recommended we try Pleasantville animal hospital (which is an hour away from us.) Our first impression of this vet was awesome they were not booked out super far. Everybody there was very nice and treated us well. At our first appointment we were given a round of medication for our dog's ear. We treated our dog for 20 days with this medication and the ear infection still remained. However, this vet followed up with us via text to track his progress. We ended up having to sedate him again to have his ear flushed. Our dog's original vet doesn't cut nails and won't sedate him because he's such a large dog. Pleasantville treated him with such kindness and great care. His nails were trimmed and he had a thorough exam while he was sedated. Now I am so happy to report that our dog's ear infection is finally gone. It is so nice to see our dog back to his usual self. Thank you Pleasantville Animal Hospital for such a great experience this place was worth the drive!“

“Hillendale Animal Hospital and Dr. Ramappa were the veterinary center for our Basset Hound, Nigel, when we got him and we continued to take him there once he was in our care. “Always a short wait, always busy (it may not have long lines but they’re on the phone with people or talking to someone in person every time I am there). We like most of the veterinarians and the staff. Front desk is always professional. Super clean. Usually a video on in the waiting area for children. Benches are comfortable while waiting. We bring two different breed cats (age 1 and 4 with different personalities and concerns). There’s enough benches and space to keeps the dogs at distances from each other and the cats away from the dogs.“

“It’s always nerve wracking choosing the right vet, so I feel very lucky that I found Doc Side when I moved to the city. I have had nothing but positive experiences with them and am continually grateful for the care and support they show my precious pets. I’ve been to Doc Side for all sorts of things now— check ups, illnesses, an emergency visit, even anal gland expression on a cat (yikes!). They have always handled our appointments with grace, patience, creativity, and compassion.

I will admit they are a tad pricier than some other options, but not by much, and you get what you pay for. There have been a few times where I’ve called for guidance which they provided on the phone without urging me to come in for appointment. They have also matched a competitor’s medication price for me.

We’ve seen Dr. Tierney, Dr. Coughlin, and Dr. Peterson and have always been impressed by their quality of care. Additionally, the vet techs and support staff have consistently been phenomenal. I get anxiety over my cat’s health, and the staff do just as much for me as they do for them! You are in excellent hands with DocSide.“

“The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Plus, there was essentially no wait time once in office, I was seen as soon as I walked in the door. However, their schedule wasn't very accommodating for a sick visit (cough) and a routine vaccination appointment that I had scheduled was canceled with minimal notice via a very long confusing text. They gave me one time slot as an alternative, which didn't work. Overall, I'd come back but client communication and scheduling could be improved.“
