“I am really grateful for the care my dog Fifi received during two very stressful visits. She is 13, has dementia, arthritis, bronchitis, anxiety, and was dealing with several things at once, so she can get overwhelmed very easily. Every person we encountered was patient with her and made a difficult situation feel a little more manageable.
Bella at the front desk was so helpful and kind. Madeline was wonderful too, both at the front desk and during intake, and Katelyn was very kind and professional during our first visit. Charly assisted with Fifi’s intake both times and was truly amazing. She was calm, patient, and warm with Fifi, and when she saw that Fifi was getting overstimulated, she offered to put us in a room. That meant a lot to me.
Rebecca also followed up by phone over the next few days, which was extremely helpful. I was able to explain some new things I was seeing with Fifi at home, and that conversation encouraged me to bring her back in to get another look.
We saw Dr. Taylor Brewer and Dr. Karla Rodriguez during our two visits, and I cannot say enough good things about either of them. They were both smart, thorough, professional, down to earth, and very kind. They took the time to explain what they thought was going on with Fifi and what the next steps were. I left feeling like I had done everything I could for her, which is such a comfort when your older dog has a lot going on.
My sister brought her dog here in his final days and recommended this hospital to me. I am really glad I listened to her. My regular vet is in DC and internal medicine doctor is in Bowie, so it is a huge relief to have an emergency vet closer to home where I feel confident my dog will be well cared for. Highly recommend!”
