“Decided to try this place out because it's close by, and I saw they offered leather/suede cleaning. My suede jacket was looking gross after wearing it on and off for 6 months. I also took a one piece there to be cleaned. The one piece was $3.50, and the suede jacket was 35$. My suede jacket almost looks like I never wore it. Note that they do not do the leather cleaning in-house, and it took me 3 weeks to get my jacket back, but it was worth the wait. I attached some before and after pictures of my jacket, but they aren't the best due to poor lighting. Service is friendly and fast. I will be back.“
“I went here for the first time to get a dress tailored. The two people I interacted with were friendly and helpful and answered questions thoroughly. I had to get the dress taken out and made bigger and I was a little worried they wouldn't have the same fabric and color but it worked out! I got the dress a week and a half later and it fit perfectly. It was about $50 which I thought was reasonable. Please note the tailor is only available in the mornings, before 1pm I believe. I also appreciate that they are open earlier than most cleaners (8am)! Quick tip about the entrance: Go to the entrance next to Starbucks and Bandit Taco, not on 16th St.“

“Ms. Kim is the sweetest woman! Her storefront may not be much to look at, but her service is impeccable. The dry-cleaning service is great, fast, and reasonable. But more importantly, Ms. Kim is the best seamstress I have ever used. She's made alterations to my wife's dresses, and my suites alike with impression precision and quality. She actually used to be a clothes designer/maker, so she is actually quite over-qualified for what she is doing. We are lucky to have her services in our neighborhood and for such a bargain. I highly recommend this place.“

“I've gone to Amax consistently for over a year and they're the best dry cleaning service in the area. I don't know why the reviews are so bad (maybe management turned over). I've only experienced absolute hospitality, flexibility, and professionalism from the Women who work here. Prices are consistent and fair, and everything comes back clean and well-handled. They also have a tailor who comes weekly to do alterations, and they do an amazing job. I've had multiple pairs of pants altered at the waist, hip, and ankle to satisfaction. I've seen others have leather/pleather worked on as well. The team is super hardworking and will take time to talk to you about more bespoke issues, like cashmere that's been shrunken or odd stains that won't come out.I don't normally leave reviews, but this place needs a rating closer to 5 stars.“

Sunny is very friendly and patient with understanding your requests and her work is really great and done at fair pricing. I had been looking for someone to taper my yoga pants and several places had said that they wouldn't be able to do that, but Sunny was able to figure out a solution that I am happy with. Can't say enough about this local small business in Georgetown.“
