“Ms. Kim is the sweetest woman! Her storefront may not be much to look at, but her service is impeccable. The dry-cleaning service is great, fast, and reasonable. But more importantly, Ms. Kim is the best seamstress I have ever used. She's made alterations to my wife's dresses, and my suites alike with impression precision and quality. She actually used to be a clothes designer/maker, so she is actually quite over-qualified for what she is doing. We are lucky to have her services in our neighborhood and for such a bargain. I highly recommend this place.“

“I've gone to Amax consistently for over a year and they're the best dry cleaning service in the area. I don't know why the reviews are so bad (maybe management turned over). I've only experienced absolute hospitality, flexibility, and professionalism from the Women who work here. Prices are consistent and fair, and everything comes back clean and well-handled. They also have a tailor who comes weekly to do alterations, and they do an amazing job. I've had multiple pairs of pants altered at the waist, hip, and ankle to satisfaction. I've seen others have leather/pleather worked on as well. The team is super hardworking and will take time to talk to you about more bespoke issues, like cashmere that's been shrunken or odd stains that won't come out.I don't normally leave reviews, but this place needs a rating closer to 5 stars.“

“I’ve gone here twice to get dressed altered my maid of honer dress and evening dress, and each time it came out amazing. the seamstress is so knowledgeable and kind to the point where I brought an address once and she told me it wasn’t a good idea alter it and hem it myself because I mentioned I could hem, so they aren’t money driven!“

The last time I came here, I dropped off a sweater and the tag was starting to rip off. When I picked it up after it was dry cleaned, I saw that they sewed the label back on. “Flawless execution!!! I brought in two scrub tops to have hidden magnetic clasps sewn on. I was a little nervous as the tops are Figs brand and a little pricey as scrub tops go. However, Calverton Cleaners did an AMAZING job. The placement is perfect and the stitching blends in so well.It was $28 for the sewing job (I bought the magnetic clasps separately on Amazon) and well worth the money in my opinion. I'll absolutely come back for any future alteration needs.“

“PICK UP AND DELIVERY AT VERY REASONABLE PRICES - For 20 plus years, these folks have been making pick up and delivery (at my home in Potomac they are in Silver Spring, about 16 miles away) for all of my laundry and dry cleaning needs. And just last week, I spilled a red wine glass into my dinner plate at this very nice Spanish Resturant in Ft. Lauderdale and was embarrassed the rest of the night about the spot on my linen shirt the size of my heart. I texted David with special instructions when I got home, and shirt came back spotless. I don't think their prices have gone up several times in so many years. And the service is so good, and I never have been at their ship in Silver Spring. If you need reliable pickup and delivery of dry cleaning services, you should call Town and Country Cleaners, and try them out.“
