Given his physical condition, having lost a significant amount of weight, we were uncertain about the possibility of an open casket. Sister Precious went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied with the preparation. The extraordinary work done made it possible for family and friends to find peace, dignity, and closure during the service, an immeasurable gift to all who came to say goodbye.
Another moment that stood out to us was the opportunity you gave us to close Vincent’s coffin as a family. It was a moment that will remain with us forever, something we had never experienced before, yet it was so thoughtful, intimate, and deeply symbolic. That moment of participation brought us a sense of peace, release and connection that we will never forget. It was a quiet, sacred act that brought great comfort to our hearts and helped us truly begin the healing process.
All of your prayers, kindness, and thoughtfulness have been and will continue to be a deep source of comfort to our family in the days ahead. We are truly grateful. And to you, Ms. Precious: thank you. You truly live up to your name, which means “valuable, esteemed, special, and beloved”.
