From start to finish, our experience at Murphy Funeral Homes was exceptional, as all our family’s funerals have been. We feel listened to, understood and helped along every step of the way. The viewing was done exceptionally well and we had wonderful feedback from all our family and friends.
I have recently and sadly had the third experience in this lifetime with Murphy’s and as always, they made the process as pain-free and easy as possible. This time, Saudia, In the Falls Church office helped us plan out the choices for my partner’s funeral and casket, prayer cards, etc. She did that with charm, sympathy, and ease.
I cannot say enough good things about Murphy Funeral Home. We came from Florida with my father-in-law’s ashes for burial at Arlington National Cemetery in November 2025. The funeral home we used for cremation in Florida had transferred his ashes to a plastic box for airport security screening. We had brought a square marble urn for the ashes to be used in the niche at Arlington and had called Murphy to see if they would do a re-transfer for us.
We were so impressed at the kindness and dignity with which they treated us. They not only transferred the ashes for us, but they placed the urn in a beautiful special grey felt carrier along with a note on our loss...read full review
