We initiated contact on 21 March 2026, since my husband had Durable Power of Attorney for our hospitalized close friend who had elected palliative care. Teresa Schnur was extremely kind and informative, and made herself available via her cell phone after business hours. After our friend died on April 6, we returned to DeVol and Taleshea Speight gave us a thorough presentation regarding the cremation options. She informed us that a next-of-kin must authorize cremation, which in this case was an estranged sister in another state. Devol Funeral home was fantastic. The Director, Kyle Nipper, provided advice and made arrangements were exceptional. In short order and per our desires, he moved my Dads remains to New York, coordinated with Calvary cemetery, set up the ceremony, and arranged for a priest to perform the ceremony. He also took time and understood the customs and culture at the ceremony as it relates to cemetary workers to ensure things were done properly.
