Melanie is simply terrific. I have thick, curly/wavy hair that really needs a good cut to keep it from being a shapeless, unruly mop. Melanie is the first stylist in years that consistently delivers a great haircut and color. She listens to you and has the experience and skill to adapt your vision to work with your hair and lifestyle, or offer suggestions/advice if you're looking for a change but don't know what you want. She's flexible, fun and a genuinely nice and interesting person - as are the other stylists in the shop. The salon is spotlessly clean, bright and welcoming. Who needs Newbury Street? Come to Dawn!
Melanie is an exceptional stylist! I constantly receive compliments on my hair color and cuts, all thanks to her talent and attention to detail. I really appreciate how she takes the time to listen and collaborate on what will work best for my hair. I’ve been seeing Melanie for 18 years—and that alone says it all. I’ve followed her journey to becoming a salon owner, and she’s still the same funny, warm, and incredibly professional person she’s always been.
She’s an amazing colorist, the studio vibe is always on point, and she somehow keeps me looking like the best version of myself. Also, years ago I told her to never let me get bangs… and despite my occasional attempts, she’s stayed strong and honored that promise 😂
