Wow! Every time I visit Salon Divine and get my hair done by Donna (the owner) the experience keeps getting better! Firstly the customer service is superb, Donna the owner and only stylist arrives early for all her appointment times and is pleasant, respectful, and personable.
The salon is beyond sanitary. Her salon and hair tools, sink, towels are squeaky clean. She doesn't play loud music or eat food while touching your hair. And best of all she knows how to do hair! I've had weaves, half wigs, and my natural hair straightened. Everything turns out really pretty!
I would say she specializes in curling hair! Her pricing is reasonable and won't break the bank. 10 out of 10! I will never go anywhere else!!!! I love you Donna!!!!!
I butchered my own hair trying to save money and ended up calling it quits and deciding to leave it to the professionals. i shopped around and got quoted $40-55 for them to make my hair even (only maybe an inch)!!! When I called here, they were so nice and quoted me a reasonable price over the phone. I went in person, they were super polite, got me in and out in less than 10 minutes, confirmed where i wanted it cut, and told me a MORE than good price. In this economy, that is everything. Overall, 10000/10 would recommend and will go again. They only accept cash but there’s an ATM next door. They do amazing work and deserve all the props they can get!

Nice, clean, and friendly location! The atmosphere is welcoming and the shop is always well-kept. The hair artists are talented, professional, and really know their craft. Highly recommend any of the barbers for anyone looking for great service and amazing results!
If I could give John and his team 10 stars I would. They are so incredibly professional, on time, courteous, and INCREDIBLY fast. We needed them after our condominium had severe flood damage. John was able to give us an estimate and finish the job all within a week and a half. He responded to all questions immediately, and it was so so easy to get a hold of him with any questions. Additionally, his team helped us choose a stain (I wanted light- we had white oak installed) and they couldn’t have picked a more perfect color for our home. As always very friendly and professional. Dr. Owens makes every contact a teaching experience regarding what can and can not be claimed. Always humble, soft-spoken, and helpful. I keep going to them every year for the past 20yrs!! They come very, very highly recommended.

I had a really good experience at this salon! My braids came out great -- they're very neat and the sizing is consistent. The attached photos are from the next day because I had to rush out after my appointment.
Beyond the quality work, my braider was very friendly and patient with me (e.g., it took me a while to decide whether I wanted a middle or side-part but she didn't get frustrated with me; she worked with me to find a curl pattern that would work with the extensions I bought).
Additionally, the salon owner is a woman of integrity. My braider accidentally told me the wrong price for the hairstyle ($180). Later, the salon owner informed me the actual price is $220 but still only charged me $180 because that's the price that was given to me and that I initially agreed with.
Before coming to the salon, I was nervous because the owner said they do not guarantee a price before the appointment. But that's because they like to do a test braid for clients to make sure they understand the size and length the client wants. Then based off of that information, they tell you the price. Although this was not something I needed to do, I'm sure you can work with them to adjust the style to fit your budget needs!
One recommendation if you go is to bring cash. They accept zelle sometimes, but cash is the preferred payment method.

Today we got lucky and was able to walk in and get an appointment with one of the best barber in Ashmont! We took the chance on a Saturday afternoon at 3pm and is so glad we did because my son Romeo got the exact haircut he asked for which was a low tapered fade. His barber Richie was attentive, kind, and talented because it came out so clean. You can tell how serious he takes his work by the way he worked. Romeo is vision impaired ,was comfortable and enjoyed the entire process because Richie told him exactly what he was doing step by step which is highly appreciative . Romeo announced that he had found his new barber!
The barber shop is cash only but have a ATM available. They take appointments and walk-in. They do seem busy so we definitely will try to make an appointment next time we come. I was checking out everyone else work and honestly you can go to any of them and be happy. It was a small shop but they had big energy here.
There a small parking lot and also street parking with public transit available, walking distant from ashmont station.
