Our AC stopped cooling during a really humid stretch, and the upstairs stayed around 79 even with the thermostat set much lower. The outdoor condenser was running, but the air from the vents was only slightly cool, and there was a strange buzzing sound whenever the system tried to start a full cooling cycle. The house felt damp and uncomfortable, and it was hard for my kid to sleep. A technician named William came out to Needham and diagnosed the problem quickly. He checked the refrigerant pressure, tested the capacitor, inspected the contactor, and found the evaporator coil was beginning to ice up because of restricted airflow and weak blower performance. He cleaned the system, replaced the faulty capacitor, cleared the drain line, and restored proper airflow through the AC system. After the repair, the supply air felt much colder, the humidity indoors started dropping, and the house cooled the way it should. What stood out most was how patient and easy to talk to he was. I had a lot of questions about the AC repair, airflow, and cooling cycle, and he explained everything in simple terms. By that evening the system was running steadily again, the bedrooms felt comfortable, and the whole house finally felt normal. It was a big relief to have the air conditioning working properly again.

One team member noticed there were leaves that moved off the drop cloth as they were cleaning up and picked them up! I go to Roza for laser hair removal and she is incredible. I've been going for a couple years not and I love going to see her - she's welcoming and warm and answers all my questions. The results are AMAZING. I've tried laser in the past with nowhere near as good of results. Dr. Otto is the best. Been going to him 10+ years. Initially pulled my back wakeboarding in April or early May when the water was cold. All better now with help from Dr. Otto (keeping me in line) and a regular routine with my trainer (yes, muscles help too).
I was looking for a new hairdresser to change my hair and I found a list of hair places and reviewed each of them by looking at ratings on Google and other sources including ChatGPT. I wanted hairstyling and highlights (mini-foils) that would help blend he gray/white growth as my dark blonde/light brown hair (main color) grew out. I also wanted a more feminine look by letting my hair grow out some. Effie listened and did the main color a little lighter than what I had been using. She then added many mini-foils for brighter colors that would help make my hair look more natural and also blend the gray/white better as it grew in. I believe I spent well over 2 hours in The Beauty Room. A calming environment. I was also open to suggestions and Effie offered her thoughts about what would work best for me. I was ready. She also said that it would take a few months to get things in place as my hair needed to grow out more to get it to where she wanted it. What was most surprising is how great it looked after the first visit. I felt like a new person. I was told by friends and colleagues how great my hair looked and those compliments continue. My daughter and also a best friend of mine told me that my hair has never looked better. I also changed the products I was using on my hair based on Effie's recommendations and my hair is now the best it has ever looked. She is a genius that works wonders and I couldn't be happier. She is also a lovely person who is full of life, good energy, personable, professional, and just plain and simply a gift to anyone looking for a new look that fits you so you can JUST BE you.

I have been getting my hair done with Sarah for over 20 years. I met her in high school and have stuck with her throughout the years as I cannot imagine letting someone else touch my hair. I will never forget the day I brought in photos of two video game characters and asked her if she could combine them. We had a good laugh and she executed it perfectly, so much so that it's the same haircut I get today. I went from hair down to my butt to a short asymmetrical bob. I’m visiting Boston and needed a dip powder manicure and pedicure. Booked with Nancy at Impress Salon. The service was great! The dip powder manicure can be hit or miss but she did a perfect job. They look amazing. I was running late due to navigation difficulties and they called to be sure I was still coming. I offered to reschedule or reduce to one service but Nancy insisted she could fit me in. Manicure comes with a mini neck massage which was a nice touch. There was also a paraffin wax on my heels with the pedicure. Perfect and in love with my nails!

Lauren is the ONLYYYY person I actually 100% trust with my hair. She genuinely cares about keeping the hair healthy. I’ve known her for like 10 years now and she is by far the best. She’s nice and fun to be around and is amazing at what she does. She truly cares about her clients and it shows. She takes the time needed to keep their hair nice and healthy while also achieving the desired results. She is very gentle as well- no pulling hair or aggressive brushing. I've been going to Priscilla, the owner, for 14 years, since I moved to the Needham area. Prior to that time, I always had trouble managing my hair. One side would always "whip" out in the wrong direction. Priscilla gives me such a good cut that styling takes almost no time, with no more misbehaving hair. After wearing a bob of various lengths, I ventured to a shorter, layered cut which I love. Beth has done my hair on a couple of occasions when Priscilla was unavailable, and I've always been pleased. Priscilla has given me excellent advice on coloring and highlights/lowlights as well as the great hairstyles. I highly recommend this salon!Service: Haircut
Elza is not only a magician with hair, but she's a great listener, too! Going to get my hair done is an amazing experience again, and not something I dread will take a wrong turn. Her angles are all right! My hair is healthy and exactly styled the way I like. My hair can be wavy/ curly and coarse depending on how it's managed, so if you are a curly girl, give Elza a try!

When I moved in with my fiancee three years ago, I needed to find new/local alternatives for many things, including a barber. After several failed attempts to find something that satisfied me, my fiancee suggested I come with her to her hair salon. I'm glad I did. She's been going to Salon Di Carlo for years. She observed that besides many female clients, the lone male hairdresser, Rick, had many male customers, too. I've been getting haircuts from Rick at Salon Di Carlo for 3+ years. He's a great conversationalist and, more importantly, gives me an excellent haircut every time. I have fine hair and a goatee. Over the years, I've heard, "Giving you a good haircut is tricky," numerous times. And I've had many bad haircuts as a result. Not so with Rick. He's a real pro. Salon Di Carlo is conveniently located in downtown Needham and has ample parking. The place is clean and neat, and all the employees I've encountered are great. Is it more expensive to get a men's haircut at a salon? Sure. But it's worth it when you get a great cut every time and like the person doing it.

First time getting a Thai massage at Baan and it was probably the best massage I’ve ever had. I did the combo massage (Thai, deep tissue, Swedish, and hot stones) with Sue, and it was both therapeutic and relaxing. She helped work through tight hips and a frozen shoulder, and was excellent at adjusting pressure when needed. I left feeling so much better. Absolutely would come back again!

I Had Green Energy AC Heating and Plumbing Repair inspect My Air Conditioning unit today. Mohammed was the repair agent who was assigned to to my request. My Air conditioning unit is over 20yrs old so of course there are some issues. There are other issues electrical with that need to be addressed. Currently I am not sure what service I will chose but I like that I have opptions.

These guys are the best. I started using Hillcrest Electric a few years ago when I wanted to install a single transfer switch for both a generator and a battery. They understood exactly what I wanted and completed it quickly and at a great price. I've also called them for various exterior issues caused by other electricians and they always came out quickly. We have been using TJ Collins for the last four years for landscaping at our house in Newton. We appreciate the quiet electric equipment. Terry and crew do a great job taking care of our lawn, gardens and shrubs as well as winter snow removal. Terry and Dawn and Caleb and other staff are friendly, professional, capable and responsive so we are getting good service and a nice yard. We are looking forward to continuing with TJ Collins in the 2026 season.
We recently worked with the Narrow Lane to help us design our backyard. Ron was communicative, collaborative, and so amazing to work with! We gave him an idea of what we were looking for and he helped us visualize how they could help us and offered great ideas and solutions that we didn’t even think of. Work was prompt and quick to finish- the crew were excellent! After construction was complete Ron came out for a final walk through and had the crew come back out to fix some irrigation issues. I would highly recommend the Narrow Lane, and look forward to future projects with them.
If anyone is looking for a fantastic landscape company I cannot recommend Lenahan’s Landscaping enough. We had a very big job (tree removal, landscape design and installation, patio extension, built in grill/bar area, sod installation, irrigation) and they did an amazing job. Mike, the owner, was fantastic to work with - trustworthy, responsive, incredibly knowledgeable and very friendly. His team was wonderful as well. We are so happy with the end result.
Mike and his guys filled in our big in-ground pool and put in a patio where it had been. I've owned homes for 35 years and can't remember having such a seamless, professional renovation experience. They did the whole project in 4 days, working their butts off during a terrible heat wave. I got 3 estimates and their price was the lowest by far. They went above and beyond, including matching some pavers the previous owner had put in in another area years before and hauling countless loads of crushed stone fill up our very narrow (8 ft) driveway. I look forward to hiring them again.

We have a sinkhole that needed constant back-fill with compost over the years. Eventually, a tree grew in the middle of that patch. It seemed unusual; not similar to other trees in our yard, and growing very quickly. Dave identified the tree as a catalpa, which would pose a longer-term nuisance. He recommended removal so as to ensure the integrity of our property. Given its rate of growth, that recommendation came just in time. Dave has a wealth of knowledge and expertise that would benefit any homeowner.

This Veterinary center was very accommodating, clean, professional, well mannered and empathetic. We recently visited the vet and had to hear some tough news. They aren’t just about making a bunch of money or a profit taking advantage of their customer base. They were very understanding and extremely accommodating. The staff was professional and personable. The doctor was experienced and very knowledgeable. They even followed up after with a written summary of our appt and prepared thoroughly reviewing our dogs history before we met. I am extremely satisfied with the thoroughness and the time the doctor spent with us and didn’t feel rushed at all. We just recently moved to MA from CA and will definitely plan for all our pet care here to be at Highland Animal Hospital and provide a shining recommendation.

I was referred to Healing Hands and Bodywork by nurse Tegan Guilfoyle from the Boston Lymphatic Center at Beth Israel, Boston. I needed a good lymphatic massage and I found so much more than that. I have been blessed to have had general massages and lymphatic massages in many different countries and from highly trained therapists from Thailand, Colombia, Brazil. Well, Edward has officially ruined all the massages I have ever had and probably will ever have....not that I plan on wasting my money in any other place. Nobody has ever given me a better massage. Needham PT is the best - I saw them for an ACL/MCL/Meniscus tear from skiing and the pre surgery PT was incredibly effective at reducing the amount of surgery required. Post ACL reconstruction, I worked with Mike to regain my flexibility and strength. I have nothing but excellent things to say about Mike and the whole team - I am going to miss seeing them every week. They also make it easy to fit PT into your weekly schedule - they are a breeze to work with and flexible if you need to make a change.
