Starting a home renovation project can be an intimidating experience. However, from our initial meeting, Jimmy made everything easy. He patiently explained the process in detail, provided a clear estimate - outlining the steps, costs and what I would be responsible for purchasing - and, answered my multiple questions along the way. Once they started the job, Jimmy proactively communicated with me to provide status updates and to help address any hiccups that arose along the way (i.e., Lowes delivered the wrong bathtub. Within minutes, Jimmy had coordinated with the plumbers to order and pick up a new one for me the next day, using their discount!). Most importantly, he was very forthcoming about anticipated timing for project completion and managed to finish the job even earlier than expected! The entire crew was friendly and absolutely meticulous. Everything from the beautiful tile work to the plumbing job (relocating to an interior wall) to the electrical and the perfect paint job indicated that the crew takes pride in their work. They did an excellent job, and I would highly recommend Versatile Builders. My small Cape bathroom now rivals any spa!“

“First snowstorm of the season and the new snow guy I hired was a no show. Not a good way to start off winter!! I saw Mike's post for snow removal on a Quincy Facebook page and contacted him. True to his word he came down the next day and had to use a snow plow, snow blower and shovel to clear all the hard frozen snow. The equipment was top of the line and Mike was polite, friendly, and a pleasure to work with. Josephine was wonderful to work with and so patient as we ran into delays with the closing on our new house that required us to keep rescheduling the project. Her team sanded down factory-finished, red oak flooring that was a deep cherry color to remove the grooves. After speaking with Chris about what color I wanted, he prepared several color options. His recommendation was spot on and the floors are now a beautiful light brown color with a satin finish. I love my new floors! Do not hesitate to hire this team!“

“We worked recently with Carrie and Eddie to get ideas and tile for our front entryway and rear mudroom. After visiting virtually all the tiles stores on Tile Mile, we found United to be the best by far. They listened to want we wanted, gave us great advice and options, and were so supportive throughout the process. Our situation was complicated since we wanted quite different tile for the two locations. They helped us select a perfect porcelain tile for the mudroom which we installed ourselves and it came out fantastic. Then, when trying to determine what to put in the very small entryway, Eddie came up with the idea about using a few leftover boxes he had of quite high end Spanish marble tile. It was great quality and a wonderful fit for the space. They deeply discounted the price so it was no more expensive than the porcelain tile, and then threw in the grout and quick set concrete for free. We can't say enough about how good an experience we had with United. Thanks Eddie and Carrie!“
“McKinnon does more than just painting or carpentry work. They can do full remodels. Let me tell you from experience they do amazing work. They did a complete remodel of my master bedroom and the results are EVERYTHING I wanted. They were also very communicative through the whole thing. “Mass Hardwood Floors exceeded my expectations in many ways. They installed over 650 sqft (living room, dining room and bedroom) of maple hardwood floors for me in half a day. The price was reasonable, the quality is top notch. I never seen such accurate cutting (didn't need to use quarter rounds around baseboards to hide cuts). Incredible! I believe that they have good techniques and are very well skilled. They worked hard under time constraint. It was a fast precise execution and good clean-up after they were done. Speed without sacrificing quality. I was thoroughly impressed. I highly recommend this company. It showed that they cared about quality services and were customer-oriented. They deserved 10 stars not 5. Definitely a cut-above“

“If I could give John and his team 10 stars I would. They are so incredibly professional, on time, courteous, and INCREDIBLY fast. We needed them after our condominium had severe flood damage. John was able to give us an estimate and finish the job all within a week and a half. He responded to all questions immediately, and it was so so easy to get a hold of him with any questions. Additionally, his team helped us choose a stain (I wanted light- we had white oak installed) and they couldn’t have picked a more perfect color for our home.
