They do so many fun additional activities for the puppies (like pool days and splash pads on the warm days) & post so many pictures and updates of your pup. Rocky gets so excited when we drop him off-we travel a lot so it’s so nice knowing he is in good hands here :)“

3232 N Elston Ave, Chicago“Wen and Jenn at Back to Basics were wonderful to work with. We came into our private training lessons with Jenn overwhelmed with our reactive and highly distractible Pyrenees Bobbi. Our previous training gave us a foundation for basics but was not helping us or Bobbi with her reactivity and excitement around other dogs. Jenn patiently worked with us and Bobbi and since the completion of our training Bobbi has steadily improved her calmness around other dogs and attentiveness towards us on walks. Months ago we couldn't even think about walking past another dog on the same sidewalk because Bobbi would jump at any dog she saw, not to be aggressive, but to play. She would lock onto dogs across the street and lay down which was frustrating when we were trying to walk her on a time crunch, she pulled like a freight train even with corrective harnesses, and would completely ignore us. Jenn gave us the tools to manage these issues and now we don't dread walks anymore. She is much more attentive to us, and mostly ignores dogs that are across the street or farther away, which is insane considering she used to lay down for dogs a block away from us. Jenn gave us some redirection tools that allow us to easily re-route her now when we see potential issues with other dogs arise, and we have also gotten her pulling much more under control. If Jenn and Wen were able to help us and our crazy pup, I'm confident they can help you as well!“

705 W Belmont Ave, Chicago“I can’t say enough great things about Bow Wow Behavioral! I've done board & train and in home training and the progress George has made since starting with them has been incredible—he’s calmer, listens so much better, and our walks are actually enjoyable now. Ty, Kyle, and Laura are true pros who clearly love what they do. They take the time to explain things, tailor their approach to each dog, and celebrate every little win along the way. It’s been such a rewarding experience watching George grow with their guidance. If you’re looking for a team that’s knowledgeable, kind, and truly committed to helping dogs and their owners succeed, Bow Wow Behavioral is the one to call.“

495 Lake Cook Rd, Deerfield“We are so happy with The Dog Stop in Deerfield! This is only our second day bringing our puppy, Olive, and we couldn’t be happier. The whole team is incredibly friendly and caring — you can tell they truly love what they do.
They’ve been sending us the cutest pictures of Olive playing with her puppy friends, and she looks so happy and comfortable there. Olive is only 5 months old, and they’ve been so gentle and thoughtful with her — keeping her inside with her mini group of puppy friends instead of taking her outside. We really appreciate the extra care and attention they give her at this young age. It’s such a relief knowing she’s in great hands and having fun while we’re away.
A special shoutout to Christian for his wonderful customer service — he’s so professional, kind, and attentive. Truly 10+ service all around!
We’re so glad we found The Dog Stop — it already feels like a second home for Olive. Highly recommend this place to any dog parent looking for a safe, loving, and fun environment for their pup! ?❤️“

2975 Milwaukee Ave, Northbrook“Heather was absolutely incredible when I needed last-minute boarding help for my dog. She went above and beyond, showing genuine care, compassion, and understanding—not just for me, but for my dog too. Even though I ultimately didn’t go with this hospital because family was able to step in, Heather left such a strong impression that I will definitely consider Preiser in the future because of her. The staff and the pets there are truly lucky to have someone like her. Thank you, Heather, for being such a kind and caring human.“

My dog always comes back looking great after grooming, and she loves going for daycare too. Good prices and great customer service, and a super easy website to schedule appointments. Thanks Liz and Eli for taking such great care of Winnie!“

I have lived in 8 states, even more cities, and taken my dogs to many, many vets and let me tell you, I miss Higgins more than you can imagine. If they were in Las Vegas, I would go to them for everything.“

2975 Milwaukee Ave, Northbrook“I used to work as a receptionist for a dog daycare, so I've had to talk to different vets all the time all over Chicago. Now, no longer a receptionist and I have my own puppy; Preiser was one of my top 3 to go to. I HIGHLY recommend, they have a wonderful staff and receptionists. The nurses are so kind, and treated my puppy with so much love. Like, I'm pretty sure my dog loves the vet now. They helped refer me to a specialist and helped me make sure she got the best care. Pricing wasn't terrible at all. The doctor called me personally to discuss my dog which I thought was really thoughtful. Also the lobby is so cute, and welcoming. Sometimes lobbies at vets can be rough, like they can smell, be dirty, have strange colors, and have uncomfortable chairs... but not here. It's so cute and cozy, the sun shines in, there are magazines, comfy sheets, and so much space if you have an uneasy or aggressive pet that needs space from other pets. Also I have to point out that all the plants have their own names it's adorable“

1522 N Ashland Ave, Chicago“I recently took my dog, Steffy, to SBK Dog Club, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive.
The grooming itself was top-notch, Steffy came out looking clean, well-trimmed, and smelled great! I also appreciated the detailed report they gave me about her behavior and any issues they noticed during grooming.
I highly recommend SBK Dog Club to any pet owner looking for a reliable and caring grooming service. We will definitely be returning!“

2000 Dempster St Suite A, Evanston“My dog loves this place and the staff. Every time we pull into the parking lot and he hears the other dogs barking, my little 12 pound buddy becomes a sled dog and pulls me to the front door in anticipation of playing with the other dogs.“
10AM - 8PM
5500 N Western Ave, Chicago“We’ve learned so much from Kim about how to improve obedience with our dog, Penny, along with ways to stimulate her mind as an active herding dog mix. We took her group basic obedience class, which helped Penny practice her listening skills with distractions, and Kim has been very generous with her time, helping us troubleshoot issues even years after we took her class.“
“I highly recommend their classes for new pet owners, or people who want their dog to behave in a more predictable manner. It makes life better when you have a dog that knows right from wrong. The trainer’s here are great. They are knowledgeable and have patience. They show you examples with your own dog.“
7:30AM - 6PM
2851 W Irving Park Rd, Chicago“My cat Georgie had his first appointment with this vet today, and to say I am impressed would be an understatement!
Dr Mueller has to be one of the best vets I have ever interacted with. He was so sweet to my Georgie, and so reassuring to me (despite my intense health anxiety around my cat). I immediately felt like I could trust him, which has not been the case with other practices I’ve visited in the past. He is definitely in the right line of work!
The vet techs were equally as sweet and knowledgeable. They were very reassuring to my cat and I - I even saw him slow blinking at the tech that was restraining him a few times!
Some reviews note that this place can be pricy, but honestly, I felt like pricing was very transparent and on par with what veterinary care costs these days. I think I have finally found my forever vet in Chicago!“
