We went ahead and got our hall bathroom completely redone and it looks like a different room now. The old tub was small and the tile was original to the house, so we went with a walk-in shower, new vanity, and tile that runs all the way to the ceiling on the shower wall. The tile work is what really stands out to me. The grout lines are even, the corners line up, and the niche they built into the wall is the right depth so the shampoo bottles actually fit without sticking out. The vanity sits flush and the drawers close soft. We compared a couple companies around River Forest before picking them and they turned out to be the only ones who drew out what the layout would look like before we signed anything. Took about three weeks total and the bathroom is the nicest room in the house now
I dropped off my white dress that was too big on me and had to be hemmed for an event. I asked the owners to do whatever they could to fix my dress in such a short notice and they exceeded my expectations! It fit me perfectly and I would recommend their store to anyone that needs alterations!

The session was targeted to my specific concerns, and Jerry provided so many helpful techniques to continue to work on my relief at home. I am so unbelievably happy with my lashes. This was my first time booking with Lovyn, I got a Korean lash lift + tint and my lashes look amazing! I've gotten lash lifts before with different techs, but wow, nothing compares to how lifted and hydrated my lashes look and feel. Lovyn was so nice, understanding of what my goal was and walked me through the entire process with each step. I rarely write reviews, but I can't recommend her enough !! Words can’t describe how happy I am with the tattoo I received at Burning Sparrow Tattoo. The artwork is exactly what I had hoped for, and the experience was fantastic.
I walked into the shop without a clear vision of how I wanted to memorialize my brother who had just recently passed. I had never gotten a tattoo that was so visible to everyone before, and I was nervous going in.
Mayra took the time to ask thoughtful questions and truly listen. Not only is her artwork absolutely brilliant, but she somehow captured exactly what I was feeling — something I didn’t even know how to put into words. I ended up getting an entire forearm sleeve, and it means more to me than I can express.
She also did my husband’s tattoo, which turned out absolutely stunning. Mayra is incredibly talented, compassionate, and intentional in her work. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience or a more meaningful way to honor my brother.
For walk-ins, Blade did a great job in giving me a small lady bug tattoo. Since he sketched it out directly in front of me, some of the circles weren't perfect but this was a timely ask. I am happy with the result and how fast he was. There was no mention of tattoo aftercare and he didn't have any second skin for healing.
Tattoos are always going to start at $100, so be deliberate on the area and subject matter of your request.

I have only received work from the owner (Eris Qesari), however, I have had the pleasure of speaking to the other artists and they were highly personable.
Eris was extremely easy to work with. The amount of thought and time he puts into tattoo placement and the meticulousness of how he arranges his pieces to make it look the best it can is art in and of itself. I have never had a flawed piece of art by him and it is apparent that he takes his work very seriously. I called after tripping the breaker to my fridge and going to the basement to find a mislabeled mess of a panel from the 1940s. Panic!A M & L’s receptionist was very helpful and friendly. She put an electrician on the line who walked me through resetting the breaker free of charge. A M & L saved me the expenses of a house call and a fridge full of food. Fritz and George are beyond amazing! They have helped my family and I with so much! We are so grateful for all their work. The have helped with multiple house projects. Abby's installed a kitchen faucet, a basement bathroom sink, smart door bells, and the most recent project a bedroom demolition and remodel. I have a new ceiling with a gorgeous ceiling fan, beautiful crown moulding, two extra outlets and new baseboards. They painted the entire bedroom and we're incredibly clean during the entire process. For three weeks, they worked with their masks on and we're very prompt and professional. I will continue to use Abby's, no doubt in my mind they are the best and affordable!!
I consider Jeff to be a teaching and reorganizing electrician. During this hot spell, the window AC tripped a circuit breaker. I was afraid to try it again, had to get it going, as my wife is 95, I'm 86.
Jeff checked out the AC, checked the circuit breaker, taught me that this kind of AC draws a spike of a charge when started, explained that there is a reset button on the plug. I had seen that but didn't know how to use it (our son bought it for us, so he has that paperwork for it.)
He moved the plug for a lamp, so that the AC doesn't have to share.
I appreciate all those things jeff said and did.
I asked how to pay him. Jeff said there 'd be no charge. This thank you is the least I can do in return.

We loved the work done by Oak Design in remodeling our small first floor bathroom. It started when we interviewed 3 different companies for the project. Oak was the only one who suggested a wall toilet which gave us 12-18 inches of additional space that was needed to convert a small bathroom into one for disabilities to allow us to age in place. It continued with attention to detail by the Project Manager: Bogdan Glowik who was wonderful: nice, professional, a problem solver and creative with solutions, so needed due to the small space. Their tiler was also very good and again laid out the tile very expertly which was difficult as the pieces were not the same size (they were supposed to be). I would definitely use Oak again and have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

2.5 years ago our basement flooded the day before we moved in. As a first time homeowner it was an uphill battle. After we replaced the sewer line, installed drain tile, and got the rotting supports replaced we had finally resolved the flooding problems. However, there was no desire, and frankly no Reason, to celebrate.
The basement was now mangled. Dust from the unfinished concrete was visibly building up on the filters. This was merely the Battle of Helm's Deep part of our journey with much more to go. We began planning how we wanted to (re)finish the basement, called the number for Marion Street Services, and talked to Tony. He came at the first light on the first day with a few other members of his team to look at our situation. They took the time to fully inspect the basement, not just the few things we mentioned. They listened to what we had been through and were empathetic throughout. Within a few days they sent over an extremely in-depth itemized list of estimates for anything we could have wanted. Instead of playing whack-a-mole with problems as they popped up, we now had a checklist with details and rough costs. This was so immensely helpful and allowed us to put together a longer term plan, figure out which parts were cheaper than we thought, which were more expensive and worth DIY-ing.
We decided to proceed with finishing the basement floor, for which epoxy was recommended. They connected us with Jim from The Garage Store who came out WITH the Marion team and they used a laser level to see where the ground rose and sank, finding differences of over 3 inches in some areas. Instead of just pouring epoxy and calling it a day they came up with a plan to grind down the high points and trowel in material at the low points so we could have a more usable and enjoyable space at the end of the day. Kierra with Marion Street Services took care of the communication with Jim from there, and forwarded me their estimate which was more than fair. She worked with The Garage Store to schedule the work, facilitated the communication on color and timeline, made payments simple with an online link, and checked in on the progress throughout the work.
I couldn't be more happy with how the floor turned out. I put a few before and after photos next to each other to show just how wild the difference is. The floor is more level, the finish is spread evenly flush with all edges and even around the difficult plumbing, furnace, and framing.
If you have a little, or a lot of work you need to get done, do yourself a favor and get help. I spent a lot of time searching for plumbers, electricians, architects, structural engineers, the list goes on and on. Multiply that by at least two if you are looking to compare opinions and estimates. I wish I had found Marion Street Services much sooner. I have a few things I am finishing on my own, but am going to need a lot of help in the months to come. When I do, Marion Street Services will be the first number I dial, because it truly feels like you have Tony and the rest of the team in your corner.
I'll admit the LOTR reference was dramatic, but that last photo is my wife's and my first shoe-less steps in our basement in two and a half years of living here. Whatever situation you are in, you don't gotta face it alone. Marion Street Services are as honest as they come. They are there to help, not to shake you down for as much as they can. Super thrilled with Ron and his team for creating such a beautiful kitchen. We had a terribly outdated kitchen and Ron really helped with me with the design and all the functions of the new kitchen!. We couldn't be happier, his crew was super nice and polite and they always cleaned up after themselves. Even during Covid and some re-plumbing issues the schedule moved right along. Dr. Fei is very nice and kind and also knowledgeable. Her staff does a great job of informing you about what’s good and bad. How to maintain your teeth the health and hygiene as well. Greg service and getting a new toothbrush helps as well! I highly recommend!
The service at Ponzio is always friendly and efficient. Never too long a wait time…but sometimes a little longer if they are busy. That’s too be expected. Friendly dental assistants and doctors, scheduling next appointments is great and cost is very reasonable! I would certainly recommend trying them. My wife and I have been going for years.

PS I started with Dr.Frank Smith, who was absolutely wonderful. He would discuss the issue with you like a friend. He was warm, considerate, and just a wonderful man.
When he retired, he wisely chose Dr. Welindt to continue the practice. A kinder man you won't find; always happy and friendly and a great dentist, as was Dr. Smith. The office staff is professional and courteous, always on time and pleasant. This credit must go to Joanne, who has been there since day one! Have you ever been to a dentist who has a chair that gives you a massage? That's just one example of how much Dr. Smith wants his patients to feel comfortable. His use of technology is amazing. He has a little camera that is hooked up to a computer. He doesn't just tell you that there is crack in your filling - he shows you where it is - magnified on the computer monitor. I needed an inlay and he took a picture of the tooth ready for the inlay. He has a computer program that uses that image to cut the material for the inlay right in his office lab. It's a perfect fit. What also impresses me are his communication skills. He presented me with a plan to show various procedures that needed to be done, the cost of each, and didn't make me feel pressured to do anything that I didn't want to. His staff is just as friendly as he is. Yes, it's expensive to have the work done, but I'm worth it!!!
Seriously the greatest dental office ever. Received paperwork well in advance to expedite onboarding; waited less than 5 minutes in waiting area; waited less than 10 minutes for Dr. Horwitz to start doing the lord's work; genuinely good banter; super mellow experience. All in all a delightful day at the dentist.

I love this dental office. The staff is flexible, caring, kind, and upfront. I have two boys that were both nervous patients before we came here but Dr. Fei puts them at ease immediately. They are also so flexible with scheduling and they don't hit you with surprise bills. I highly recommend this dentist.
I needed a root canal and it was one of my bottom molars with a deep root that was giving me trouble. Dr Shawn assured me that I should be comfortable through the process. I figured this would be a first. However, it was just as he said. I had no pain during the entire process. He explained what I would feel and how it would feel, like pressure. I would hear the drill, but feel no pain. No particles leaked to the back of my throat, which is rare. They made sure that all of the residue from the bad tooth did not get in my mouth. I suggest you make an appointment and speak with the team. It's an amazing place.
Dr. Lofti is an amazing chiropractor. I have been going to him for over a year to manage my arthritis issues. He literally keeps me moving so that I can avoid knee surgery for as long as possible. His staff, Jasmine and LaDanian are amazing as well. Everyone is professional and very welcoming and friendly. The office is very comforting and you feel right at home during your visits. I have recommended family members that now go to him. I will continue to recommend Royal Health Care to everyone that needs chiropractic care.

I started care with Dr Davis after being involved in a car accident last October. Prior to that I didn’t have experience with chiro and felt nervous about what to expect and how my body would respond. Dr Davis was reassuring, gentle and thorough with his explanations. The admin team are wonderful. They are responsive to missed calls and always a pleasure to connect with while in the waiting area.Deana, the clinical massage therapist, is also amazing. She is knowledgeable and skilled at her craft. She is booked and busy, so plan ahead!Although I’m not visiting the office as frequently as I was before (2x week), due to my schedule/availability, I intend to drop in occasionally for chiro care and massage therapy. As a doula, I find it necessary to receive this monthly maintenance.
This machine may have saved my life. I was supposed to go in for surgery august 11. And it was canceled because my blood pressure was to high. There’s been a back and forth between my surgeon and my cardiologist why I can’t get my blood pressure down. One was saying I needed different medicine while the other was saying it was from the pain. So in the mean time after having a very bad gut feeling about surgery my wife found this. Idd disk therapy. Being one to try something at least just one time because the pain was to much to endure. So I went for a consultation and from the visit the dr was amazing and funny as hell. He asked me since I was already up there would I like to try it out that day. And let me tell you for the past 2 days I went from nearly walking and very little feeling in my arms to pain scale from 1-10. I am today maybe a 3. As I stand here and type this. I can’t thank Courtney Malone Leipart enough for finding this. And oh ya my blood pressure went from 180/120 to 115/84.

Came after a wrist injury that wasn’t healing. I don’t generally like anything health care related. I found Dr. Gerou easy to talk to about the pain I was experiencing. She was very clear about what I could do to help it heal and what I should avoid.
The first session involved massage, scrapping, and acupuncture. It wasn’t pleasant, but I immediately had more range of motion. Was sore the next day, but by day two was noticeable stronger, less painful, and more agile.
I can’t say enough great things about this therapy clinic. The doctor and his two coworkers are absolutely amazing. From the moment you walk in, they make you feel welcomed and comfortable. Ahimsa is an absolutely fabulous yoga studio! Every single teacher is outstanding, and really understands Yoga and knows what they are doing. Christine is one of my favorites, I feel 1 million times better when I walk out of one of her classes. You also can choose either in person or online, and there are times I would need to do a class online due to scheduling conflicts, but I prefer to be in person. It is a wonderful community!
Took Flow w Jules and loved it. Challenging in the best way. Sequencing was smooth, and the small alignment cues really added up. Highly recommend if you’re into a deeper practice.

I had my third Pilates class ever today, and out of three different instructors I’ve had thus far, I can say with confidence that Darryl is the best instructor here. He’s so encouraging, doesn’t ever laugh at you or make you feel bad when you mess up, and is so silly throughout the workout, keeping things light. He also makes adjustments for you as needed and ensures you understand, only blaming himself if you don’t get something right the first time. He’s honestly an inspiration to become an instructor. A different instructor I had today, when I asked a clarifying question on a move, literally said “you weren’t listening”, so you’ll unfortunately encounter that kind of instructor here as well. Whoever hired Darryl, please for the love of God, keep doing THAT. He’s the main reason I will continue here. Thank you so much, Darryl!
I absolutely loved my experience here, a special thanks to Bloom, she did such a wonderful job with my massage and I left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. I do recommend bringing cash as you get a discount. Parking is convenient and cheap and located right outside the space. They play relaxing music during the massage and I found the massage to be very detail oriented, all the way to massaging my hands and forehead. The store owner, Nara was also very friendly and very kind. For the price the massages are worth it. The space is clean, professional and overall has a great vibe.
I am so happy that I found Jerry! I have been struggling with shoulder/upper back tension and resultant headaches for years. Massage has been helpful in the past, but my session with Jerry was the first time that a provider actually took the time to ask and understand exactly what I have been dealing with and what my goals are. The session was targeted to my specific concerns, and Jerry provided so many helpful techniques to continue to work on my relief at home. I will be back in only a few weeks and look forward to continuing to work with Jerry.

This was one of the most effective massages I’ve ever had, and I’ve had literally hundreds in my battles with chronic headaches and TMJ. His methods are novel, including visualization suggestions, loud sighing and mouth message. For real. And it worked! I have not been this relaxed in literally years. It made me think of how my dogs sleep on the couch and how I often think I’ve never been that relaxed in my life. But I may have gotten close now, and that was after just one treatment!
