Every single detail of the wake and funeral arrangements was done with class , professionalism , dignity, and genuine care for me and my family. They are absolutely the best at what they do , by far. I came all the way from Chicago to check out Faded Novelty and it was definitely worth it. My barber Orlando did an amazing job — clean fade, attention to detail, and made sure everything looked sharp before I left the chair. The atmosphere was cool and professional, and you can tell they really care about their work. If you’re looking for a solid barber shop with talented barbers, I’d definitely recommend this place. I’ll be coming back for sure.

I got a much needed haircut done with Laura and she is phenomenal! An expert in her field, she is knowledgeable and gentle on hair. She promoted some products that I have been needing and I got some of those too. The atmosphere is nice and refreshing, overall I had a wonderful experience, 10/10!

Very quick and responsive to our buildings issues. They were able to make an appointment within 12 hours of calling, diagnose the problem, and fix the issue. Even after 2 days when the issue reemerged they came back to fix it right away!

I lived in Manhattan for 27 years and tried out dozens of salons and hairdressers. All were recommended by friends or work colleagues. Prices varied from $300 to much less. I nearly always had a bob haircut. My hair is thick, straight and not difficult to cut---except for the people I went to.I never left any salon satisfied. Many times one side of my hair was quite a bit longer than the other. When I pointed that out while still in the chair, the person who cut my hair actually disagreed with me. I had to move to North Riverside to walk out of Evelia's Unisex with a perfect haircut every time for over a decade.Evelia takes her time, measures every single hair carefully, and I feel so grateful to have found the hairdressing artist of my dreams 5 minutes from my home. Even better, I am fortunate enough to live across the street from Evelia and her equally charming husband, both of whom have become dear friends.I have spent much time in the salon, and have watched her treat every client with great kindness, care and attention. She did not raise her prices for 26 years despite my constant pestering. Finally the cost went up $5, which is still much lower than all the nearby places I have priced. Unlike so many salons, Evelia will wash, cut and style your hair precisely as you request.You will be treated with total respect---and I promise you will also have fun. I apologize it took me so long to write this, dear Evelia.

I came to Ruby Cleaners less than a week before our beach elopement desperate to have my sample wedding dress cleaned. The team was calm, kind, and reassuring, and they delivered exactly as promised. Every stain was gone, even on the bottom, and the dress looked brand new. They repaired a small rip on the side and they even hung it specially to prevent wrinkles since I was flying with it. I am so impressed and grateful and will definitely be back to have my gown preserved.

I want to take a moment to recognize Juan and another employee (I unfortunately didn’t catch their name) for the outstanding customer service they provided.
From the moment I walked in, they greeted me and immediately asked how they could assist. They took the time to understand my situation and truly went above and beyond to help resolve my issue. Juan even explained a bit of the background on why the jeans I purchased didn’t fit correctly, which I really appreciated. They both reassured me that everything would be taken care of and that they would make sure I left satisfied.
While they were confirming everything on their end, I went to the fitting room to try the clothes on. By the time I came back out, everything was already prepared for me. All that was left was confirming the adjustment and I was good to go. The whole process was smooth and stress-free.
Both employees were extremely polite, professional, and genuinely kind. They had great attitudes, welcoming smiles, and were more than willing to help no matter the circumstances. It’s honestly rare these days to find customer service like that.
