“I lost 40 lbs since May 2023 after starting personal training at Tone up 2 Fitness! I definitely put in a lot of hard work but I wouldn't have been able to do this without the support from the staff here. Tom is a great Trainer and has been dedicated to help me achieve my fitness goals! He knows how to challenge you and sends you weekly workouts you can do on your own time as well. Bart does an amazing time to start you with the process and pairs you with a trainer that would work for you. They know exactly how to start you off so it's up to you if you are willing to put in the work to achieve your goals. It's definitely worth it! I am at An Age where all of my doctors are telling me I need to strength train & I have a hard time 1) Keeping myself accountable and 2) Not hurting myself.Izzy did a fantastic job matching me with Tony Monley, who knows exactly how to gently motivate and push me while making it all fun. He is also remarkably good at noticing when we need to back off a little & adjusting on the fly.I LOVE that TruFit is a welcoming space for LGBTQA+, POC, and women. I feel safe in every way, which is a challenge for a woman at the gym.Last but not least, their model makes for very reasonable priced one on one quality personal training!“

“Great class with Kris! Such a good mix of strength, flexibility and stabilization with just enough pace to really get your heart up and your sweat going. It’s hard for me to choose a favorite class but luckily because of the great schedule and availability I don’t have to. HIIT, Strongbox and FIT360 all at great times with great instructors. WIN is everything I could have asked for and the owners Kris and Erika are fantastic. Looking forward to seeing you all for years to come!“

“My experience working with Daniel Lew was truly outstanding. I contacted him because I was interested in improving my posture, balance, flexibility, and core strength, as well as to work on tightness and pain in my lower back. I worked with Daniel for five months and had significant improvement in all of these areas. Daniel created specific exercise regimens for me that directly addressed my goals. He has a deep understanding of human musculature and movement and develops exercises that exactly meet each person’s needs. He also provides excellent guidance to make sure that proper form is maintained.I cannot recommend Daniel highly enough. He listens carefully so that he fully understands each person’s goals and then creates a custom workout plan specifically for that person. His workouts are not “one size fits all.” He is very pleasant and makes the workouts enjoyable. He is an outstanding trainer.“

“Activation Fitness has been life changing for me! I have been dealing with headaches for years that would drag on for days. I would use heat, ice, massage, stretch, you name it and relief was only temporary. I just accepted that every month, I would just deal with 3 day headache, not fun. Then, I happened to be talking to a client at work one day and they spoke so highly of how muscle activation helped them with their hip issue when all else had failed them. I was intrigued because it sounded so different from everything I've tried in the past, so I gave it a try. I consulted with Steve over the phone and based on my history he thought muscle activation could work. We started weekly sessions for 6 weeks, but already half way through, I noticed I didn't have the neck and shoulder aches and pains I typically had that would turn into an awful headache for days. Here I am 7 months later and no relentless headaches! It's been a game changer for me. I am continuing my sessions every other week now with success and thrilled how I feel. “As a mid-thirties emo with a closet full of Vans, I wanted to learn to skateboard, but I was intimidated where to start. I was scared I’d be an adult in a class full of kids with parents watching or there’d only be instruction for skaters who’d been doing it for their whole lives.Enter Ben / Sk8 Chicago. He has such approachable, non-intimidating energy, and made the sign up process really easy.The whole lesson was perfect. I never felt nervous, intimidated, or out of place. Ben started out asking me what my goal was from the lesson, and I told him it was just to feel more comfortable on a board. I thought this may take me several lessons, and, with Ben’s help, I felt comfortable, confident, and sure of myself in an hour. Ben made me feel super comfortable, we went at my own pace with several non-overbearing check-ins with how I was doing, and the hour flew by with a perfect balance of instruction / observation and practice where he watched from a distance so I could get more comfortable on my own. I got to share the space with another adult skateboarder, which added to an already enjoyable experience.Not to mention, set up is insane and impressive. The place is a well-constructed, designed, and executed skatepark with a variety of ramps and other surfaces to do tricks on. You can tell Ben is doing what he loves and is good at, and wants to share it with his community.Thank you, Ben!! Sk8 Chicago is a gem for skaters of all ages.“

“This is my second time training with Mike P. for postnatal training. There's a reason I went back and followed him after he opened YDM. I knew he would create an effective program, personalized to my needs, in a safe and fun way. I had diastasis recti both times and each time he was able to correct it in less than a month while working on building back my overall strength. This is not a place that will work you so hard that you'll be scared to come back the next time. The approach is gradual but challenges you appropriately. They will educate you and give you the tools to continue and maintain a healthy workout routine on your own.Thank you Mike and YDM for giving me my body back. I feel like myself again.“
