When I first came to see him, he asked key questions, and he resolved the ongoing issue with the glasses that were sold to me from different eye glass companies...I kept getting headaches. “First time coming back since the new owners. What a difference. After my previous experiences with the former owner and having to wait anywhere from 30 minutes to close to two hours to see Dr. DeKoster (who is no longer there), I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was seen by both staff and Doctor. First of all, the wonderful woman that was at the desk named Diamond was very kind and courteous and helpful. Had to fill out the necessary paperwork and it took no time to do this. I didn't even have a chance to sit down when I was called to do the preliminary eye exams. That part was handled by one of THE NICEST, BEST AND MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE people I have ever interacted with at Melrose. Her name is Nicole and it was one of the best experiences I ever had. She did a very thorough job of examining my eyes, explained each procedure and I felt totally at ease because of her. She is going to be a fantastic optometrist in the future! Afterwards, Dr.Dzubur came in and what a pleasant experience THAT was. Very down to earth guy, explains everything to you. I came away from this visit knowing more about my eyes than the entire times I went to Melrose Eyecare before. Very grateful for all of the help that I was given and how wonderful everyone treated me. I am very satisfied with the new owners and look forward to my next visit. Great job!“

They are amazing and I will continue to go there and take my daughter there. I also have had several odd eye problems. When he was doing that, I said "I don't even remember where I got those!" He said "From me!" He looked back in his records and has such meticulous notes that he then was actually able to order my newest prescription for that exact size so I can mail in my sunglasses from Milwaukee, where I'm now working and pick them up at my convenience. and have him install the lenses in my decade-old frames. “I appreciate Dr Kubicki. I followed him from his office in McHenry where he had taken over Dr Fontana's practice. He took time with me as I am a diabetic. I chose new glasses which after insurance was nearly $500. I assumed I could pay 50% immediately and the balance when I picked up my new glasses. This has been the standard for 55 years that I have had glasses so imagine my surprise when I was told that the full amount had to be paid up front! Though I understand that Dr Kubicki now works for a corporation, I am very disappointed.“
