I worked with Dr. Jordan for about 2-3 months to address the issue and was able to run a 5k on Thanksgiving within a minute of my personal best time!
In September, I had an hour long assessment and initial treatment with Dr. Jordan who diagnosed the issue as peroneal neural tension. She guided me through some initial exercises and got me started on the coaching app for home exercises. I also had my first experience with dry needling, which I was initially apprehensive about, but was impressed by how well it released the tight peroneal muscles.
Over the next 2-3 months, I visited the office another couple of times for more dry needling and massaging of the tight muscles. I also continued following the exercise program in the app 6 days per week. As things continued to improve, I resumed hiking and started some light running. Along the way, I developed some IT band tightness and Dr. Jordan added exercises to target that area in addition to the neural tension.
By Thanksgiving, I was in a good enough spot to try and run a 5k turkey trot, with fairly low expectations. To my surprise, I finished within a minute of my best time and, more importantly, was completely pain-free!
I only worked directly with Dr. Jordan, but I met all of the other therapists during my office visits and could tell that they were just as skilled and passionate, and all were super friendly as well! If you're looking for a great PT experience, I would highly recommend Body in Motion.“

So easy to get along with & was patient with me since I've never been to a gym. After a few months I moved to the semi-private classes & love it! My kids see their parents taking care of their health & they want to be part of it. My older daughter comes to classes & my youngest loves working out at home with dad. Working with Jaleel has been great, and the work outs are no joke! He is extremely on top of everything. Even being a virtual client, he made it a point to check in constantly to see how the program was working for me individually. The app Jaleel uses to facilitate the daily workouts is efficient, and is easy to follow. Step by step instructions on how and when to complete which exercises within each circuit. The only effort needed is the effort put forth to get through the work outs! I would highly recommend Wingard Fitness to any one looking to better themselves, or start their fitness journey. D'Mario helped me strengthen muscles that had atrophied, and through that, restored balance on both sides of my body which magically relieved the pain I had been feeling in my neck and shoulders for years. A fun side effect to it all was how much stronger I looked and felt as a result of our work together too!“

When I started going to AF I met with a trainer who assessed my needs and tailored a workout specifically for me. Using the app on my phone I can follow the workout plan on my own, but there is almost always a coach on site to help. The gyms I've joined in the past were basically just using the machines and hoping I was doing it right lol. They also try to encourage a sense of community with gym members which is really awesome.“
