7562 S University Blvd Unit K, Centennial“My kids have a ton of energy, and when another taekwondo studio wouldn’t enroll my son because they thought he’d be too disruptive, this place welcomed us with open arms. In just eight months, they’ve grown so much—better listening, more confidence, and a real sense of accomplishment. Working toward their belts keeps them motivated and shows them that hard work truly pays off. We’re so grateful for the positive impact Competitive Edge has had on our family!“

My oldest daughter started over a year ago, my younger daughter is now a cub and we can’t wait until our youngest is old enough to start. The Johnson family and all the instructors are amazing! My girls look forward to not only their training classes but also the great extra activities that are offered. I would highly recommend Tiger Rock Lone Tree to all families looking for a great community.“

3425 S Oleander Ct, Denver“Training at Okinawa Dojo has been an incredible experience for our family. Karate here goes far beyond physical skills — it’s about resilience, perseverance, discipline, and emotional growth.
We’ve seen both of our children thrive in different ways. Our older child has faced big emotional challenges, and the senseis and dojo community have supported him with patience and encouragement, turning tough moments into opportunities for growth and confidence. Our younger child has discovered how much he loves coming to karate each week — building discipline, making friends, and being part of such a wonderful community.
As parents, we feel grateful knowing that Okinawa Dojo is helping our children grow not just as martial artists, but as people. The lessons they’re learning on and off the mat will stay with them for life.“

Sensei Tsutsui (plural - as it includes his wife and daughter) along with the other black belts, are outstanding instructors who truly know their art. They’re patient, skilled, and attentive to each student’s needs while encouraging growth. Beyond karate, this dojo offers a true community and life skills that last well beyond the mat.“

They know you by name, the instructors connect with the students and teach valuable lessons both on and off the mats. Definitely recommend!“

10143 West Chatfield Avenue Ste 6, Littleton“I looked at 2 other karate studios for my 4yo before finding The Rock. First one gave me some uncomfy vibes and was pushy and the second one was too pricey. Then we checked out The Rock and I am SO glad I didn’t just go with one of the first 2 I looked at. The content is age appreciate, the instructors are patient but teach respect, and the prices are the most reasonable of the 3 studios I looked. My kid loves it and an unexpected side effect is better listening and respect at home. Cannot speak highly enough of The Rock!“

10146 W San Juan Way #100, Littleton“Popped in tonight at Katharo training center for the first time. Got some excellent open mat jiujitsu training. Coach Alajandro I believe was his name(brown belt), greeted me with the utmost hospitality and that was very appreciated. He showed me around the facility and I was very impressed. Every one who trained tonight was super tough and extremely welcoming. I love schools that are just down right kind to newcomers. Thanks for letting me train tonight, ossssss.“

8154 S Kipling Pkwy #130, Littleton“We absolutely love Sensei Nico!!! I have 2 young boys (4,7) who have been going for a couple years. My eldest has really enjoyed the structure and how he advances when he shows more discipline. My youngest loves how sometimes you get to be goofy and it's the only place you get to kick and punch ? Sensei meets them where they are at and understands that kids are kids, but he also gives them high expectations and they meet it!!!! Highly recommend!!!!“

1699 S Lowell Blvd, Denver“I've trained in Martial Arts for 10 years. I think a large difference that I've noticed, in my time in this School, is that we Study more than we simply Train. Every class I walk out feeling the effects of the depth and length of study of the Martial Arts. The people here are amazing warriors who not only strive for their own personal best but they push you beyond what you think are your limitations. A sibling-hood I've never experienced in a decade of training in other schools. The instructors are high class with the knowledge and abilities they demonstrate and teach, each bringing their own methods and viewpoints to help broaden our own. The intensity of the training is much more lifelike and is geared towards real world encounters and possibilities; it's not limited to the ideas of the stereotypical "break the wrist and walk away" self defense schools. The mood is always light, the training is very serious, the work can be seen as grueling, but the results are worth it.“

2090 W Littleton Blvd, Littleton“After years of training here multiple times a week, it feels right to pause and express gratitude. Colorado Academy of Martial Arts has become an important part of our family’s journey. My daughter trains here, and the grown-ups in our family train as well. The kids and youth program is exceptional, guided with patience and care by Sensei Laurel, who brings calm focus and genuine kindness to every class. The youth and adult program offers balance, discipline, and steady personal growth in a welcoming environment. This academy embodies respect, consistency, and community.“

There is a strong sense of community, discipline, and a sense accomplishment for students as they progress. 2255 S Peoria St, Aurora“My daughter was being bullied at school and after I questioned her safety too many times, I realized I needed to do something. I reached out to Aurora Z Ultimate Studio and Sensai Harry got back to me the same day. After explaining what's been going on with my daughter, she set up a time THE SAME DAY to bring my daughter by and teach her some basics. My daughter loved Karate after that and she's even a yellow belt now with dreams to make it to purple. Sensai Harry, Sensai Ella and Sensai Wren are all absolutely amazing, patient and so kind. The Dojo really feels like a community because even the other parents have been a joy to talk to. I highly recommend this self defense studio for everyone who is looking to learn the art of Karate and feel a sense of belonging.“
4 - 8PM
7506 E 36th Ave, Denver“I cannot say enough positive things about Kicking for Life. Finding the right environment for my son was crucial, especially after moving across the country. We checked out a couple other places, but as soon as my son came to Kicking for Life, we stopped looking. Master Kellye exceeded all expectations. She and other instructors create a welcoming atmosphere. They make every lesson engaging for the kids, balancing the fun and learning. They are creative at teaching not only karate techniques but also important life skills like discipline, respect, and perseverance.“
