“The program itself feels gentle and may seem simple at first, and I don’t always leave with the sensation of an intense workout. That said, I’ve come to appreciate that Pilates emphasizes mindfulness, body awareness, and intentional movement. Through repeating the exercises, I’ve learned to better understand my muscles and how my body moves as a whole. Overall, the experience has been positive for both my mind and body.“

LifeStyle's for Health Pilates

“Lifestyles for Health Physical Therapy - Cindy's clinic, gave me the comfort and mobility that I was very fearful of not having after a trip and fall injury to my arm. My therapist, Shiva, made the entire process so much more comforting and welcoming. She made sure that in all aspects of recovery, I was secured. Each exercise was explained, and most importantly, she made sure to ask how I felt before and after the treatments. You would never leave your appointment without feeling better.“

“I have been going to Carina’s for 3 years now. My session is an hour and starts with 10 minutes of cardio, followed by core, then arms/legs etc. A few people come in every half hour and so there ends up being around 3-6 people working out at any given time. But she prescribes different exercises for each person based on your individual strength and needs. I started going here toward the end of the pandemic because she diligently wipes down all the machine after each person uses it. One of the best things about Carina’s is she creates a very friendly and social environment. It’s the reason I have been so consistent about my two times per week! Everyone enjoys talking to each other and I look forward to catching up with my new friends all the time! She offers sessions Mon/Wed evenings and most mornings.“

Boheme Yoga Pilates

“I'm here for the weeks unlimited ($25) 5.22-29th. First impression: I like it a lot. It's a wonderful space of rooms teaching both heated and non-heated classes sans humidity. The word serenity comes to mind. As soon as you come in you are immediately greeted with a precipitous staircase and a embedded bronze placard proceeding warning you to "watch your first step". There are some commercial entities that have mastered the art of environment. Places where as soon as the door closes behind you shutting out the city bustle you've left behind you are almost transported to another place. I've not yet been to a space accomplishing this better than Boheme Yoga.I will of course update this as the week progresses. But they also teach pilates here so already, having had my very first P class ever only today, I'm a little in love with this place. It is what you think of when you imagine yoga studios: Discreet, quietly dignified and powerful in its certainty of being just exactly what it is: I tranquil place for serious minded yogis to come further stretch push and condition their bodies. All of them claim it, this feels already, as if it's actually accomplished and provided a safe space where perhaps there could actually be a 'community' of like minded people who do more than just sweat and endure together.Everyone here also seemed to have invested in good quality mats (as opposed to the yoga interlopers who've not yet decided if this is for them a short-term indulgence or life-long lifestyle commitment). And boy, not for nothing, but after corepoweryoga it was just nice to see a green lit water filter again. lol“

“Justin is incredibly attentive and detail-oriented in his approach. He observes the body almost microscopically, identifying subtle imbalances and guiding corrections with precision and care. I truly appreciate how thoughtfully he explains each adjustment and makes sure I understand what we are working on.

I have already seen meaningful improvements in my posture and movement, and I feel more balanced and aware of my body than before. I’m genuinely excited to continue this journey and see even more progress. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for knowledgeable and dedicated therapeutic guidance.“

Dance With Ani Studio Pilates

“Back in September my daughter announced that she wanted a Quinceañera for her 15th birthday in June - this meant she and her court of 5 couples had to learn a waltz and a surprise dance. I called a few studios in the La Crescenta area and Ani was the only one who provided classes for Quinceañeras and she did not disappoint. She was professional, friendly, patient, great with kids, and worked around their schedules. My daughter picked her two songs and Ani choreographed a beautiful waltz and a really fun mambo that let all the kids shine and highlighted the Quinceañera. The kids had a blast learning them (took about 7 - 8 classes) and performing them at the party. If you are looking for dance classes for a couple or for a group I HIGHLY recommend Ani!!!!“

“My favorite boutique studio in Montrose. LAGREE just hits the body different. I love the new location on Honolulu with plenty parking and nearby all the shops. The studio is so modern, spacious, and there are 15 megas!!!!! Studio offers water dispenser and has a bathroom too. The workout is hard so try all the instructors and find your fave. Jasmine just knows how to torch your muscles, Stephanie W gave me a slower burn (had shakes after class), and Cereza the owner knows how to make you sweat… she is just the kindest soul ? careful you’ll get addicted…“

Hot Yoga Pasadena Pilates

“I've been practicing Bikram Yoga at Hot Yoga Pasadena regularly for a about 13 months now and I can't think of any negative things to say about this studio! It is equipped with clean showers and multiple restrooms. In the beginning, I had a hard time getting used to the smell of sweat in the hot yoga room full of people, but it no longer bothers me. It's just something that you have to get used to if you want to practice hot yoga anywhere.I love my regular instructors (since they pay attention to details and try to push me beyond my limits), but I have never had a bad instructor here. All of them are really encouraging, knowledgeable, and friendly.Practicing Bikram Yoga has transformed my life in different ways, both physically and emotionally. Prior to this practice, weekly chiropractic sessions and daily pain medications were not able to completely eliminate the upper back and neck pain that I experienced from long hours of standing (required by my job). I am happy to say that the tension on my neck and shoulders have been significantly reduced (from 6 to 1 on a scale of 1-10) since I started my regular Bikram Yoga practice and I no longer need to visit my chiropractor or my daily pain medications!I'm not going to lie and say that I am totally pain free. In fact, I often feel sore all over my body after 90 minutes of stretching and toning in the hot and humid room, but as the saying goes, "no pain, no gain!" I've tried other methods of weigh loss after having two kids, but couldn't really maintain them. Bikram Yoga has somehow guided me to a healthier life style (with more water and vegetable and less caffeine consumption and eating smaller but more frequent meals). I find that on days that I don't drink enough water or did not eat well, it is harder for me to complete my yoga practice. However, no matter how terrible I feel during the practice, I always enjoy the rush of endorphines after each yoga session. A year of religious Bikram Yoga practice has resulted in a 10-pound weight loss and the decrease in one dress size!Getting started was the hardest step, especially with getting my body used to the heat and the smell of sweat. I'm glad I got over those hurdles and feel very thankful for Hot Yoga Pasadena in providing a clean facility and amazing instructors to help me in this positive self transformation!“

Back Benders Pilates

“Dr. Betty is a true healer. Her approach is holistic – she offers cupping and tuning fork therapy along with the physical adjustments you'd expect from a chiropractor. Her energy is both gentle and confident; it's clear that she has years of experience and knowledge under her belt. She approaches pain/discomfort/disease at the level of the nervous system, acknowledging all of the factors that can impact us on a physical level – so what she's offering goes deeper than just symptom relief. Highly recommend!“

Let's Pilates Pilates

“I hate exercise. I couldn't continue any work-out more than just couple weeks. Let's Pilates, strictly speaking, Hye-ri (my instructor) changed my life and habit. She made me think that I like 1 kind of exercise- which is Pilates. She is well aware of human body and muscle system because she used to work as a personal trainer and tried so many different kinds of work-out. She is a perfectionist meaning that she never let me practice with non-perfect posture. She understands the movement of muscle and explains very easily how to achieve each movement goal. I strongly recommend this place and I heard that all the instructors there are wonderful.“
