“HONORING SOCIAL DISTANCING I'm so thrilled that I am able to do yoga almost everyday....thanks to the studio's online classes on ZOOM. For years my goal was to commit to 3-5 sessions a week and since UYS offered their online, I've been doing it daily. I love the fact I can stay in my pj's if it's the morning sessions and not have to worry about leaving the house. The teachers are so well prepared and I am in awe how I feel after each session especially with the turmoil our world is going through and all the emotional impact the COVID pandemic is causing. My temptation to succumb to the normal up and dwon emotions that want to surface is nipped in the bud during the process of the breathe work, mindfulness and body workout. So grateful for each teachers who give their professional best and their amazing examples.“

“When I first started treatment, I arrived at Dr. Garcia’s clinic with icy-hot headaches around my head, inflamed hands with an icy sensation, unable to bend over without feeling as though all my blood went to my forehead, irregular bowel movements, and a sinking sensation walking down stairs. Dr. Garcia took my blood pressure reading and it was 132/90. After just one week of taking herbal medicine, I no longer had any symptoms. I now have regular bowel movement and improved skin health. Today, my blood pressure is back to normal.Dr. Garcia is not only a patient Chen Taijiquan and Qigong teacher but also a genuine doctor who cares about your health. Just as he breaks down each movement in his classes, Dr. Garcia will explain your condition in TCM terms and break it down clearly. He is also willing to explain each herb, their uses, where/how it is gathered, and why it will work well in treating your current condition (ex. Dampness). He checks up on my tongue readings regularly and each time I arrive for a check up, he will change the herbal formulation to directly match my body’s present condition. His treatment style is individualized and it is truly a blessing to be in his care.“

“I had a FANTASTIC experience at YogaSix! The environment was clean and all of the employees are very helpful and super friendly (love the cold towels after class). It was my first yoga class in over 10 years, so I was out of my element and a little nervous. Our instructor Nolan eased my nerves and encouraged the class to go at their own pace. I did not feel judged at all even though I'm so new. The temp in the room was just right, and the music was great! I definitely recommend Slow flow if you're just getting into yoga! Thank you to Nolan, Mark and the YogaSix team for a great experience! I will absolutely be returning!“

“I can't say enough about TAG Yoga! Two years ago I had a stroke and it caused right side weakness, backpain, and neck pain. A friend recommended TAG Yoga. I've only been going for a couple of weeks but I really see improvements! I feel stronger on my right side, my backpain has subsided, and I feel I'm getting better sleep! Tina and Angie are great instructors. They are patient and help you get to the correct positions without making you look d**** The posses are very smooth and seamless transitions. To top it off, parking is a breeze and prices are super reasonable. I highly recommend TAG Yoga; it really helps people who are in similar situations as me and also for anyone who wants to feel more healthy.“

“This studio became a second home to me while I was living in Claremont, California! Johannah created a welcoming experience for everyone. This studio has the perfect combination of fitness and zen with some of the best teachers around! You can get your butt kicked in a climb class or go to a candle lit Vinyasa flow. I always walked out of that studio feeling so much better than when I walked in. I fell deeper into my practice by also participating in the Yoga Teacher Training. It was a beautiful in depth yogic experience. We learned so much and had a wonderful time too. Johannah did a wonderful job guiding and teaching the cohort. As well as a carefully curated bunch of guest teachers and speakers with various expertise. I felt like the learning experience was well rounded and gave me the knowledge to dive so much deeper into my practice. MPower is a gift to the Claremont community. I would genuinely recommend this studio to anyone and everyone!“

“David, the owner and teacher, has more than 40 years career in teaching yoga. Lots of students follow with him are more than 5 years. The classes type is hot yoga basically with traditional Hatha yoga. You can join any classes, no level difference. $120 monthly, unlimited, as long as you have time to come. I think only nonprofit organization can do it like this. In here, we like a big yoga family. David creates a mutual training environment, senior students practice with junior one. We make jokes to each other and share some of our life matters during the class. This is why we are more like a big family, watching each others and caring each others. Most importantly, here, you always can hear laughing. Joyful is priceless, and I can find it from here.“

“Jeff has been amazing for both my 11 year old son and myself. He is kind, thoughtful, explains everything in detail, and suggests exercises that are simple and quick to do. He is also excellent in diagnosing what the problem is. And, he answers all our questions patiently and in detail. So thankful to have found him.“

“There were a lot of things happened in my life last month that I was so stressful and even felt depressed, so I decided to sign up for a Yoga class during the Spring break to restore myself. I found their website on Yelp and signed up for the $49 for 2 weeks package, and I went to different classes including Yoga, Reiki and Kundalini. All instructors there are wonderful and genuine people and I always felt I had been healed a little bit after each class. After the 2-week package ended, I felt much more better and alive! I highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for connection and healing ?“

“Ms Sara is the owner and a gem and so are all her dance teachers. My daughter has attended the dance studio on and off and was even part of the competition team, the dancers here were all kind and sweet to my daughter and you can feel the camaraderie of this studio . My daughters dance and technique improved tremendously under the supervision of Ms Sara and Ms Leslie. The teachers are highly skilled, the pricing is good and the dancers that come out of this studio are great. I highly recommend this dance studio“

“One of my favorite studios!Anne is a great owner & I think the studio is clean, cute, and efficient. I feel she has done a great job at making the studio into a community. There are a variety of classes available: hot yoga, hot pilates, yin, vinyasaShoutouts to some specific teachers:Linda (hot Pilates) has helped me transform my body and understand my muscles. She brings the energy and is an amazing teacher! She wants you to get the most from every workout & pushes you to be your best. I have never enjoyed working out as much as I do w her Pilates classes. I read a previous review about micro aggressions and to beware if you’re a person of color. I was a little surprised, I am a woman of color and have been coming to this studio for years, and have never had this experience. There are many people of color in this studio who have been members for years.Monica, Justin, Herman, Sharon - (hot yoga)Not only are they experts in teaching, but I appreciate that they all bring a different energy to class. Justin inspires me to push myself. Monica inspires me to honor my body. Herman & Sharon inspire me to rest when I need it.Neil - (yin) I really like Neil’s classes, the energy he brings to class helps me relax and I love that each class he has a different curated playlist and words of wisdom/knowledge that he shares.“

“Martial Art Innovations is really innovative. They manage to keep my 3 and 5 year old engaged thought the pre-dragon class. Right now with the uncertainty of Covid19, the pre-dragons class held online is one of the consistent activities the kiddos have. Reviewing the 'social distancing' classes held online, Don and the instructors do a good job keeping the lessons moving, there isn't a dull moment and the kids enjoy every minute of it. 5-stars for Martial Art Innovations all the way.“

“By far the best massage I've had in a long time. I'd never had a Thai massage before so I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was better than I could've imagined. The knots in my shoulder blades and arms got worked out like never before. The masseuse took her time and made it a relaxing experience. My favorite part was the head massage at the end. I'll definitely be going back.“

“I have had nothing but positive experiences here with staff. I came in with my sister a few weeks ago and the gentleman up front assisted us with a day pass for her. He was informative, patient and overall super helpful. My sister loved it and will be signing up soon. Even the janitor was helpful when I asked a question. This gym is spacious and is always clean. There's plenty of machines to use even on busy days! This is probably the best gym I've been to in the IE.“

“Saved by the sauna! ....to be continued from Basin 141 review... After brunch, I dropped off my daughter to her other family. I felt dizzy after dropping her off. I was debating to go back home to rest, but I didn't want to stop my routine of hitting the gym. I drove myself to LA Fitness and I felt my upper part of the body from my neck down to my waist...as if I was carrying something heavy. My whole upper back began to numb and my neck started to stiff. I was able to get myself to the gym and changed real quick and ran to the sauna. I sat in the sauna for 10 minutes. My face was sweating nonstop, my hands and feet felt the heat, but from my neck down to my waist I didn't feel any heat. I was about to submit myself to the ER. I then decided to lay down on the wooden bench in the sauna for another 10 minutes and thankfully I brought with me the bio-freeze roll on. After 10 minutes allowing the heat from the wooden bench in the sauna to penetrate to my upper back and neck...my back felt light again and my neck was no longer stiff! Thank you God! I spent an hour in the sauna today to rid of my body toxins. Thank you God, LA Fitness, and my Sauna! Oh I forgot, my grandmother is watching over me as well! Bless her soul! I am still alive! Not my time yet! :D“
