Thank goodness I found Maggie. After my previous stylist left the business, I had many bad hair days until I found Maggie. She is warm and funny and does an excellent job coloring and cutting my hair. I’ve been with her for several years now. I have S2-S3 curly hair and she cuts it so I can style it straight or curly.
I had an amazing experience here! What really impressed me is that every lash design is customized based on your eye shape and personal style — it’s truly tailored. During my session, more than one specialist came over to check and perfect the work, so it felt like being cared for by a whole professional. You can tell their standard is way above most lash salons.
Everything in the studio is spotless, high-end, and clearly chosen with care. The owner has such a genuine passion for beauty — you can feel it in every detail. The service is also incredibly thoughtful; I was almost falling asleep during the session, and they actually lowered the volume throughout the entire salon so I could relax completely.
And bonus — they even have the most well-behaved?
I took away one star after recent experience. It was very crowded when I went in, likely because it was right after pride parade, but the service felt very rushed the whole time. Gel pedicure peeled after 2 days.. so by the time I went on vacation, one of my toes didn't have polish on. I still think this place is decent, maybe just that day, it was a miss.
On this coming 4th of July, I reflect on how much has been lost and gained in the United States, and so I sit and reflect at the places that mean so much to me.
Coming from a military family, I hope the lessons learned make us pause and think.
So here we stand, my wife and I in the middle of the golden gate national cemetery.
Here we visit, and we ponder the course of this nation. We visit what I call the "brass ridge". Here there are so many generals and admirals buried here, but not forgotten. As we walk through the greens and we stop at the tombstones of prominent and historical figures, I hear in the wind honor me, but remember the soldiers, sailors, Marines, Air force veterans that surround me and served this nation also. These were our men under our command.
Like Gettysburg, Manassas, Shiloh, the Alamo, Arlington and the national cemetery of the Pacific that I have visited. I remember with awe and wonder.
Another solemn place to visit. Moving to the soul and conscience.

I needed to have a large retaining wall along the property replaced. From the moment I met Jose, the owner of the company, I understood that he was very experienced, detailed, and knew exactly what he was talking about. His bid was prompt and very competitive. When the rains stopped, Jose, Osmin, and their crew started work, showing up at 8:00 every morning without fail and finishing their work day at 4:00. During the demolition and replacement of the wall, everyone was extremely polite and organized, and the site was left clean at the end of the day. The project, that also included replacing some stairs next to the wall, was completed on time and within budget. The wall and the stairs look great! I couldn't be more happy with Pacific Construction, and would highly recommend them to anyone in the Bay Area.
My mom used Alphacare's physical therapist and RN services. The staff were friendly and professional. Most important, they were able to provide services in Cantonese for my mom.
We were hoping against hope that our roof would survive the storms of 2022/23 but no such luck. Our roof was 25 years old (our house is in SF's Sunset neighborhood)so we knew it was time. Luckily, our contractor friend recommended Al Jr's Roof Inc and we are so glad he did. We called and Al came the next day and gave us the estimate which was reasonable. We were put on the list and by early March our roof was done! They did a great job and yes, I went up to the roof with Al to check it myself! Al is a great guy and even better he and his team did fabulous job. And it has rained since they replaced it in early March and no leaks! Thanks Al, you guys did a great job!
Dr. Sherryl Quong and her staff are amazing, they explained my insurance benefits clearly and I did not feel pressured to perform any testing that is not covered by insurance. Unlike other offices, Dr. Sherryl Quong also does not charge for contact lens fitting if there is no change on the prescription.
I’ve seen Michelle twice and ended up getting a 10x package here because she’s amazing! She has the perfect touch. The place is clean and she is honest about what you need / don’t need, I appreciate that.

Classic salon service, honest suggestions for quality products for hair care, accessories and vintage wardrobe. I've been going to Ms. Jay since her DC location in the alleyway. Now that she's in San Bruno, get there like 15 mins early because you do have to pay for hourly parking (not expensive). Upon arrival, you are greeted and you can still thrift in her now more spacious boutique. Vintage finds are insane! For a trim and touch up layering she starts with washing your hair, uses the blades to layer and styles your hair all while she's having a genuine conversation with you. Then, she recommends products for your hair and sets up your next appointment because just like she values your time, her time is valuable as well. She's by appointment only. In and out; wash, cut, style, payment: 1 hour. Timing also depends on service. Like when she performs a perm on me, I expect to be there a few hours. 10/10 would recommend!

I started coming to Sammi after admiring my sister's nails for years. It took me a while to start coming to her 'cause of my hectic schedule, as I used to get my nails done at the last minute. But after being referred to her (thanks to my sister) I am happy to say I am completely "hooked". Her work is amazing and she is just a wonderful person overall. She always pays close attention to detail and does it swiftly and seamlessly, yet at the same time you never feel rushed. It's always a nice, calm quiet vibe in the salon, balanced out with her fun & friendly conversation. Some days I know exactly what I want and she works her magic... And other days I can also be indecisive on what to do with my nails, and thankfully Sammi comes through to help guide me with her input when I'm in one of those moods too. Lol. Needless to say, she never disappoints. I am ALWAYS happy with the ending results. She is a true professional at was she does. Another thing I love, is that she does top-notch, quality work. Whenever I get a fill and pedi it LASTS until my next visit (every 3 weeks), I never have any broken nails or chips. Thank you Sammi!!
I went to first impression to get my haircut and discovered Neleam who does threading. I had my face threaded for the first time, and the results have been amazing. It was quick easy and reasonably priced and Neleam talked me through the entire experience. I would definitely go back.

I had a great experience and the staff was very friendly. I had an appointment for highlights and the stylist was Tina. I totally recommend her she was awesome, took her time did a great job with my hair and even suggested a different color. Jackie is a godsend. I've hopped from one stylist to another trying to find someone I really like. My years of searching have finally come to an end now that I've found Jackie. I love the layers she gave me and am very happy with my highlights. I always look forward to my appointments. Not only is it a few hours of pampering but I feel like I'm catching up with a good friend. Location is great with ample parking.

I've been seeing MaryAn for nearly a year and I'll never go anywhere else for a cut. I have naturally curly hair and it's hard to find a good stylist who is confident in cutting curls. She is also incredibly sweet and really listens to everything you say. Gary is sooo nice and they make everyone feel loved and welcome. I love their animal stories... The shop is super cute and it just makes you feel good to walk inside. Honestly, better (and cheaper) than therapy.

Fidelity home warranty sent Rick to fix our shower mixer valve after they had sent a different plumber to diagnose it. Rick was very responsive and easy to schedule then when he came he did a great job confirming the issue, going to get a replacement part, and fixing it very quickly and efficiently. We would hire him directly if we have future issues.
So very, very sorry to hear of Jesse's passing. He was a great plumber and a very kind human being. Condolences to all of his loved one's. He will truly be missed.

I called the electrician for help with rewiring a plug and he was so helpful, he even helped me pick out the right plug in the shop and talked me through it all. very very friendly and helpful and definitely would use again for any electrical needs
I asked Bart and his crew to do a couple rewiring jobs in my house. In both cases he promptly got the job scheduled and done the same week. I am always thoroughly impressed at their speed and efficiency and I know they'll get the job done right. Bart will also go the extra mile to show me other things that need to be addressed (immediately / soon / later) and I really appreciate that!
Art's service is undeniably the best in the peninsula. I went to copy keys, and he was done in 3mins.
I recommend this place with enthusiasm! I was having trouble finding someone to copy a fairly simple key, and was just told no from big box stores with key copying services. But at this shop, which hs clearly seen it all, the gentleman was very kind, and most of all, interested in solving my issue. He was curious, tried an experiment, and explained why my key was unusual. His experiment worked and I now have a spare key! Even if it was not successful, I was so happy that he had the energy and interest to think outside of the box, not with wild abandon, but with the know how from years of experience. I'm going here FIRST next time!

Ricardo performed an earthquake retrofit as part of the EBB grant program and he was great to work with. He knew all of the requirements and caught some issues in our application to ensure that everything went through the process without issues. He completed the work on schedule and the inspection passed on the first attempt. Highly recommended.
Derald and his team are great. Our house is a Queen Anne Victorian in San Francisco and we worked with BMF to remodel our kitchen, install new flooring, remove walls and put in large glass doors to show off the great view. Derald blended the new work with existing victorian details, such as picture-frame wainscoting and ceiling medallions. The workmanship and attention to detail was first rate.

It was hard finding a new Veterinarian after our previous vet clinic closed. We tried a few, but none really stuck until we met Dr. Tais at Masson. She was personable and took her time getting to know each of my pups. The office staff, Sarah, Jennifer and Jasmine are also a very big reason we chose to stay at Masson, they're all super detailed and knowledgeable. It is so hard to find a Veterinarian that you and your pups like and it's even harder finding a great office team, but at Masson you get both! I am so so happy I found them.
By far, best vet I have ever gone to. Everyone there is so pleasant. They welcome you with warm smiles and greetings. The vets are amazing and genuinely care about your pet. I see Dr Chiu and she is not only an amazing vet but just a great human! She meets you where you are, in terms of your pets care and is so gentle and caring with your pet. I have also seen Dr Hauge (sp?) and she is also wonderful! I have yet to meet anyone there who isn’t warm and welcoming. I def recommend San Bruno Pet Hospital.

I had a prenatal massage with Teresa a few months ago and just had a postpartum massage. Both were wonderfully relaxing and healing experiences. Teresa is exceptionally skilled and knowledgeable in her specialty and makes you feel at ease. I am happy to have found Mayahuel Massage!

Her entire approach is so loving and with your highest good in mind the whole time. I also appreciate her support for small and local businesses; she always recommends shops and artists. She is amazing!!
Dr. Ouyang does not disappoint. Went to him with painful plantar fasciitis about three months after receiving the corticosteroid shot in the sole of my foot. The pain came back after the shot and spread. Visited Dr. Ouyang for a few sessions and happy to say I have zero pain or zero reoccurring issues. If you have or had plantar fasciitis then you know it is uncomfortable at best. He is the real deal and is now treating my wife for her hand issues. Worth the visit and highly recommend
