“I appreciate that there is a flow. I love to see the young lady of color at the counter, her smile is most welcoming. I have brought my daughter here before,and she loved her pedicure service. Most recently my Husband and I had massages here for the first time, we enjoyed it, and would come again. I did notice one service provider who responded with an annoyed request to a customer. I assumed the lady has been a bother in the past. Still this is a reflection on the business.“

“I had a great experience with Nai at Acne Specialists of Alameda! She is super friendly and knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable right away by asking what problem areas I was hoping to work on. She explains what will help with my concerns and is encouraging without making me feel scolded about my admittedly bad skincare habits. The treatment was really thorough (she asked about ALL the products I use - including my hair care!) and relaxing (I fell asleep during the red light therapy). She took the time to answer my questions and we even talked about some trendy skin care products/gadgets (she was down to earth about them and I really trusted her knowledge when it came to knowing what was -and wasn't- worth the expense and effort). When I say she was thorough, I should mention that toward the end the session, she noticed that I had a little dryness around my lip area and took the extra time to put a moisturizing treatment on my lips - you have to appreciate a girly that won't let you walk out with ashy lips! I leave feeling glowy, refreshed, and excited that we can achieve the skin I've been yearning for. Thank you so much Nai - I'm so thankful we have you here in Alameda now!“

“This has been me and my girlfriend’s relaxation place for the last few months. After a stressful week, it is always nice to relax in a hot tub.

The price is $25 per person for 1 hour, which may seem like too little at first, but it is in fact around the perfect amount of time. They offer two complimentary towels per person so you don’t need to bring your own. Overall the hot tubs seem to be cleaned thoroughly. My only gripe was one time the group before us was smoking and left a nasty little linger that lasted about 20 minutes into our time.“

“I used to see Alexandra regularly when I lived in the East Bay, and even though I’m now based in San Francisco, I still make the trip across the Bay Bridge traffic to see her. Her studio is a calming, peaceful sanctuary, and Alexandra herself is one of the warmest, kindest people I’ve ever met.

One session years ago that really stayed with me was when she gifted me crystals after learning my uncle had passed away — such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture that shows how deeply she cares about her clients as people.

She gives truly incredible facials, and the massages that come with them are rejuvenating for the whole body and spirit. I’ve never had another esthetician pay such close attention to detail or be so in tune with what my skin actually needs. Her technique and level of care really set her apart. My husband even had his first-ever facial with her, and it was so satisfying to see everything she was able to extract!

Also, bonus: she has the sweetest little rescue pup who sometimes makes an appearance and adds to the already good vibes.
