“This place is so amazing. My dad is currently a patient here and he looks HEALTHY and HAPPY. Almost like he is in a resort. He made friends fast. He definitely didn't look happy and healthy at Memorial Hospital in Modesto or the VA hospital in Mathers. Both these hospitals didn't do anything for him. They just sent him home and did not fix his issues. Here at the VA hospital in Martinez , they care about their patients. This includes the nursing staff down to the housekeepers. They have a pool table, dining area for the patients and visitors. Plus we watched the football game while having lunch with my dad. Everyone here is amazing. Puts a big smile on my face and heart to see my dad happy.“

“I cannot recommend Lice Free Clinics - Concord enough. After using another service that ultimately failed, the wonderful women at Lice Free Clinics were able to get me in immediately and took care of my family and me. They were lovely and positive and helped alleviate concerns I had. I called for another head check about a week and a half later because I felt my head was itchy - and they fit me in on a day when they were pretty fully booked. I hope I don't have to deal with lice again, but if I do, Luce and her team will be my first call. They are amazing at what they do, and they are lovely humans on top of the excellent service they provide.“

“My experience at SF Audiology in Walnut Creek was wonderful. I was caught in a traffic jam on my way over and they stayed open during lunch to accommodate me. They had the part that fixed my hearing device on hand, so the visit took only a few minutes. The problem that I did have was getting through to them. Having ONLY ONE phone line for 10 locations is crazy! There was no way to call Walnut Creek, or any other location, directly. I had to wait on hold a number of times to get through. This is nuts. I understand that they wish everyone to go online to solve problems but that is not always the efficient way to operate.“

“Dr. Brian D. Hopkins, MD is the Joe Montana of surgeons. I have stage IV bladder cancer and he performed excellently when he operated on me. When I had the same surgery six months ago it took me six weeks to recover. With Hopkins it took me two days and I feel like a new person. BASS can expect to win plenty of Super Bowl games since they drafted Hopkins at QB.“

“Pro: usually short wait in cue line, free parking, public restrooms nearby, pharmacy on site.
Con: the appt email said to go checkin at 1 counter but when went there they said to go checkin at different counter. Earliest physical appt was 8:30am, I'd be interested in earlier times or weekend times if were available similar to lab hours. Doctors occasionally prescribe over the counter medicines but even as over the counter kaiser won't just mail them to you like your other prescriptions so maybe it'd be better if there was a notice next to when over the counter meds get prescribed that just says "go to any pharmacy out of pocket" or something.“

“Dr. Veeragandham is one of the finest doctors I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. When I started having mitral valve issues, the cardiologist just kept watching the problem. When it became necessary for open heart surgery, I was very scared. And then I met Dr. Veeragandham. He spent about 45 minutes with my husband and I explaining what was the problem and showing us the issue on the echo and then explained and wrote down all of the tests I would need to complete prior to surgery. It was a lot of work getting ready for the surgery, but I really appreciated how thorough he and his staff were with me. I knew that morning that he did the surgery that I was ready.
I can't even begin to tell you the change the surgery has made in the my life. I have so much more energy to do the things I have always wanted and thought I would do later in my life!!!
