2915 Telegraph Ave #200, Berkeley“We drive from Monterey to Alameda to have our son tested for Autism and felt very blessed to have been referred here. We had to wait a little longer than usual for our appointment as there was an emergency that called our doctor away. Regardless, once we were seen, the experience couldn’t have been any better. They asked if we had questions multiple times and followed up anytime we weren’t clear. While it may be a long drive, it was totally worth it. We look forward to our second appointment and feel empowered and educated moving forward. Thank you so much for having such wonderful staff and empathy.“

“Firstly, check your attitude at the door; they don't pay the receptionist enough to deal with your personal BS - get your s*** together and come in correct. 2 of the last 3 times I was in the waiting room I had to listen to adult-children complaining about things that, ultimately, were their responsibility. Oh, and don't cuss, threaten or try any BS - they will not put up with it and you will find yourself without this clinic as an option. Very professional folks, clean and well-lit operation (somewhat of a rarity with places that take MediCal). Dr. Rosenfield is very good, caring professional who is sincere and honest. My only complaint, and hence the 4 stars, is that he has some difficulty with negative confrontation - it would have been nice to know that he doesn't deal with disability patients/claims months prior. So, as long as that isn't an issue, the service is top-notch and the people were very real and authentic.“

615 Addison St, Berkeley“I not only avoided two surgeries (which had been the only treatments suggested by doctors when using my regular health plan and insurance), but uncovered how different health issues I’m having were inter-related - being caused or exacerbated by each other. So, for example, the treatments ordered by my orthopedic joint doctor for tissue tears can be problematic with anemia and elevated blood glucose levels, and likely counterproductive to success with surgery advised by my orthopedic foot doctor. Each of the (excellent) doctors in the business-as-usual healthcare practices and facilities covered by insurance mostly treats conditions and body parts discretely - even the PCP’s, who are supposed to have an overview and to act as a kind of conductor. This is made worse by the processes used and needed to shepherd people through that whole system. In other words, in this instance, if I’d followed the advice and insurance-approved treatments, the results could have been anywhere from pointless and ineffective to creating more damage.“
“I've had lifelong medical for many years now, and they have provided me with fantastic and reliable care! Dr. Gordon (my GP) is available to talk through my concerns, and if there are any problems with medication, she is able to work with me to figure out what to do. I really appreciate the affirming care that I get here, with a holistic focus on health and preventative care, not only reactionary care when something has already gone wrong. As a plus size person, I also very much appreciate that health concerns are not automatically dismissed as relating to my weight, I feel very heard and respected at my appointments. I turned 40 this year, and I'm getting a referral to get a mammogram, as well as getting hooked up with physical therapy, acupuncture, and other care for back pain. I find the patient portal to be a little slow at times, but I generally do hear back within the three days that they promise, and I know they're very busy! sometimes it can take a while to get labs done, and I do wish it was easier to make an appointment for that, because I don't always have an hour to spend waiting. Again, though, I know it's a busy clinic. All in all, I am very happy with the services provided and the practitioners I've seen.“

3100 San Pablo Ave, Berkeley“I have mixed feelings.
Hard to get appts sometimes with pcp. Months sometimes. Urgent care usually same day or next day. Wait awhile on phone. Mostly deal with John Muir docs. Saw maybe one UCSF specialist there.
Parking lot available but kind of tight and awkward to get a ticket on a steep incline. They should definitely let people get to the top on flat to get ticket. Free parking I believe two hours. It is clean. Security guards nice. All staff have been helpful. They take Medi-cal Alameda Alliance as well as my primary insurance. They have a lot of things under one roof. Labcorp, x rays, scans, ultrasounds. Reminds me a little like Kaiser without Pharmacy.“

“Making the appointment was easy and there were a lot of options for times. Checking in was easy and the staff were professional and courteous. The medical assistant who took me in was professional and courteous. The doctor listened to my concerns. The lab clerks and agents were all professional and courteous. Results from the lab came in quickly.
Dr. Fu was attentive, took the right lab tests, and prescribed medications to handle my ailments without over prescribing.“
