“I spent a few months contacting many vendors regarding an ADU. My mother in law has mobility challenges so this eliminated lots of the pre-fab units. Most of then aren’t “age in place” friendly - they have extremely small bathrooms and so forth. Because of this, I figured I should spend extra for a custom design to get exactly what is needed.I came across Acton after spending months interviewing many vendors. Also, having family in the construction business, I know that experience is very important. Anyone can do anything, but “is it done right”?After meeting Jen , my confidence went up. She asked the right questions and was completely transparent. She described the process and approximate timeline. The company would derisk the project by doing upfront studies of key things. As a project engineer, I would have done the same.After a month or so, we were trying decide between Acton and another company. We ended choosing Acton for responsiveness, “done it many times and we know the special rules”. and overall style of execution. In addition the flexibility of the team and they all seem to work well with each other was what helped make the decision.We are now done. It was definitely one of my “easier” projects (considering the size and scope). I know what I was getting and Acton delivered. Team (Ivan, Connor, Jen, Lynne..), was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Even the permit inspector liked working with them (can’t say the same for my solar contractors).“
“I was looking to remodel my bathrooms and kitchen and I wanted a contractor who would listen to our needs. We wanted someone to be with us while we do the selection and provide us information with the pros and cons of our selections and give us upfront information with no surprises. Mr. Parviz, our main contractor, was always available and patiently answered my questions whenever I called him. I was very content with the quality of the finished work and the contractors who worked on the different aspects of remodeling. He had very skilled people and by the end of the project we developed a good relationship with Mr.Parviz and most of the people who worked on the project. Mr.Parviz, started the project 15 days earlier than the agreed date on my request. He was committed till the end of the project, even though we decided to get a new gas connection for our gas range that delayed the project due to city permits. Mr.Parviz also made sure that he got all the finishing material in brushed nickel as we requested and paid attention to every little detail. We continue to enjoy the remodeled house with total satisfaction. When it comes to pricing, it wasn't on the lower end but, for the quality of the work the pricing was reasonable. I also appreciate Mr.Mohssen and Ms.Setareh from Barcadon Constructions for their contribution in the project. I would definitely call Barcadon Construction back for any future remodeling and recommend them for your home projects.“
“Steve is a joy to work with and we highly recommend him for your project. We started the renovation process by interviewing 4 different contractors and Steve stood out from our very first meeting.As first time home buyers, we were new to a lot of this and we are so glad to have found Steve. Steve is super easy to work with and he provided a ton of guidance on the various things along the way. Steve also helped some of the small jobs along the way, very conveniently, without having to redo the quote for the entire project (Remodel bath, Add Laundry room, Remodel garage, Redo plumbing, etc).Steve not only focused on the project at hand, but improved various things in the house to make it more comfortable for us to live in. “Leo, Guillermo, and their crew did a great job on my parents bathroom remodel. There were some unexpected discoveries once the demo started, but they handled it well and made sure to explain every step of the process. The cost went up a bit, but it did not feel excessive. We received estimates from a couple other places and Skytech Builders felt the most fair and reasonable for the work needed (a small bathroom remodel).I appreciated Leo's responsiveness to all communication. The actual work appears to be done well and I feel confident in the final product. Both Leo and Guillermo always made sure to explain everything thoroughly and walk me through the process. We only have one bathroom in our house and Leo worked with us to ensure that we wouldn't be without a toilet at any point.Overall, I am very happy with the work and will definitely recommend them to others.“

“Jim Parden built my new house from the ground up from 2019-2021. I had originally gone with a "less expensive" builder who promised the world and of course prices mysteriously increased and time lines were not met. Jim took over and completed my project, after the original structure was demolished and oversaw everything from pouring foundation on. My "complaint" would be project management of time, I think all projects take longer than expected. But I have to say now that it's all done I'm ok with it. Why? Because, whenever I go in other new construction homes I always see how much better quality my house is compared to other homes. Often from builders that charged 10%-30% more than what I paid. They always say when you build a house there is 1) Time 2) Quality and 3) Price. But you only get 2 of those 3. I honestly feel I got Great Quality, Good Price, and Good Enough Time. But the real test is, would I do it again or would I hire him for my next project and my answer is a resounding Yes! Also, it's been 2 years now, and Jim has always been very responsive for the random quirks or small fixes that inevitably show up in a new house. Thanks Jim!“
