“Patty was so personable and understanding of my needs. As a long term LA Fitness member. Since 2018. I've been to many locations, from all the ones I've visited. Patty has been the only person on staff that has shown effort. This review is due to her leaving a lasting impression. I've seen other instructors during the years, all only wanted to push to sell me their classes. To the point of feeling cornered. Circling back, Patty needs a raise or promotion.“

“The best and most welcoming Yoga studio I've been to in LA. Nicole at the front desk is the nicest person ever, and all the teachers are really solid. I've done like 60+ classes here at this point.I do miss more classes being on the patio, but I also understand the smaller capacity out there makes it challenging from a business sustainability standpoint.“

Boheme Yoga Yoga

“I'm here for the weeks unlimited ($25) 5.22-29th. First impression: I like it a lot. It's a wonderful space of rooms teaching both heated and non-heated classes sans humidity. The word serenity comes to mind. As soon as you come in you are immediately greeted with a precipitous staircase and a embedded bronze placard proceeding warning you to "watch your first step". There are some commercial entities that have mastered the art of environment. Places where as soon as the door closes behind you shutting out the city bustle you've left behind you are almost transported to another place. I've not yet been to a space accomplishing this better than Boheme Yoga.I will of course update this as the week progresses. But they also teach pilates here so already, having had my very first P class ever only today, I'm a little in love with this place. It is what you think of when you imagine yoga studios: Discreet, quietly dignified and powerful in its certainty of being just exactly what it is: I tranquil place for serious minded yogis to come further stretch push and condition their bodies. All of them claim it, this feels already, as if it's actually accomplished and provided a safe space where perhaps there could actually be a 'community' of like minded people who do more than just sweat and endure together.Everyone here also seemed to have invested in good quality mats (as opposed to the yoga interlopers who've not yet decided if this is for them a short-term indulgence or life-long lifestyle commitment). And boy, not for nothing, but after corepoweryoga it was just nice to see a green lit water filter again. lol“

RITUAL FITNESS Yoga

“I have trained with Zoe at RITUAL and it has been life changing/ transformative. Zoe is an incredible trainer and the space is gorgeous. My body has transformed and the way I understand fitness has evolved completely. I saw Zoe before, during, and after my first pregnancy and she moved through all of those (very different) phases seamlessly and motivated and supported my fitness goals and evolving body throughout. Zoe also trains a few other people I know and she tailors the trainings to everyone differently based on their needs. I truly could not recommend Zoe and RITUAL fitness more highly.

Also I always had an easy time parking and could go get coffee or lunch after on York Street! A++ spot.“

“I had the opportunity to attend some online classes and events with YogaTalk Events. Their classes and retreats are so much fun. The Joshua trip in particular was a heart opening experience for me. The classes led by world-class teachers feel like much more than just yoga classes. They created a space to reconnect with yourself on a deeper level. The instructors bring great experience with each session. YogaTalk Events creates great sense of community and deeper connections. Their events and retreats help build meaningful and lifelong connections. I am truly grateful for these experiences and look forward to the next event with them. ?“

Mixtape Athletics Yoga

“Sooooo... I drank the Crossfit Kool-aid. After years of watching my husband practice this crazy sport, I finally gave in.

I am not now, nor have I ever been a sporty person. I started coming to Mixtape for their yoga classes. Loved it. I then moved on to spin classes. Yes! I can do this. Now I'm doing the crazy WOD (Workout of the Day). I'm actually doing things in the gym I would have never thought I could do.

The coaches are without exception knowledgeable,
approachable, and encouraging. They modify and accomodate the workouts to your level of fitness. The facility is not like a typical chain gym, but it is clean and welcoming. But the NUMBER ONE REASON why I keep coming back is the sense of community that Coaches Sadie and Jason have fostered in their business. The inclusivity and comaraderie and overall lovefest I feel here are everything. Having a cruddy day at work? Come to the box. Relationship woes? Come to the box. Too many tamales? Come to the box. You'll sweat. You'll laugh. You'll feel better. Did I mention this is a dog-friendly spot? Seriosuly... come this box!!!“

Moon Yogi Holistic Healing - Reiki Training & Certification Yoga

“My relationship with Reiki has been complicated—colored by past experiences with other healing modalities and an earlier encounter with a different lineage. When I finally chose to study Usui Reiki, I was intentional and selective in my search for the right teacher.
Ksenia exceeded every expectation. She is grounded, professional, and thorough, yet warm and genuinely caring. She goes far beyond the standard curriculum, offering supplemental materials, tools, equipment, and thoughtful guidance for further study. She truly invests in her students’ growth and encourages them to explore their own Reiki path, including integrating other modalities.
On the second day, she went to remarkable lengths to demonstrate techniques and provide hands-on sessions for everyone. The experience was invaluable. I am deeply grateful and truly honored to have Ksenia as my first Reiki Master.“

The Art of Living Foundation Yoga

“This is one of my favorite personal development centers in LA. It is a community center that educates people on the mind and how to manage your through the through mindfulness practices, based on teachings by Gurudev.

I started attending a few years ago in college when I found out about the SKY meditation program and have been coming back ever since.

Check out their full moon mediations, which happen every full moon and are open to the public. This is a great introduction to meditation for people who are curious and want to explore a new space.“

“The program itself feels gentle and may seem simple at first, and I don’t always leave with the sensation of an intense workout. That said, I’ve come to appreciate that Pilates emphasizes mindfulness, body awareness, and intentional movement. Through repeating the exercises, I’ve learned to better understand my muscles and how my body moves as a whole. Overall, the experience has been positive for both my mind and body.“
