“Amazing customer service with assistance with guest pass and health program assistance sign up. Very nice and quick with sign up.”
“Such an informative, interesting and meaningful class taught by thoughtful teachers. So lovely to have extra time to refine the practice.”
“Super good gym! The staff provides great service, and the facility is always clean. Definitely recommend it!”
“Just took my first class at Club Pilates, and it was fantastic! Ricardo is an excellent instructor; his directives were clear, he offered lower intensity alternatives if needed, and was great with form adjustments. Can't wait to go back... when I will most likely purchase at least one pair of their super cute socks :)”
“I love going to Yoga Box! The classes are fantastic, and the instructors are very welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful. I always leave feeling energized and centered. Highly recommended for all levels!”
“It's a home for the soul...Peace, belonging, sharing knowledge and growing together...”
“Had a great experience, my husband and I are absolutely going back. The staff was especially kind, friendly and helpful. I had accidentally booked for the wrong location but the staff helped me reschedule without making me feel incompetent. I recently moved here so i wasn’t familiar with the area. They were great! Definitely recommend the SOUTH PASADENA location.”
“great studio, my favorite instructor is donny always super encouraging and intentional with each exercise, rep, and individual!”
“This location is great - I’ve taken class with several of the instructors and they’ve all been kind, welcoming, and inclusive”
“My relationship with Reiki has been complicated—colored by past experiences with other healing modalities and an earlier encounter with a different lineage. When I finally chose to study Usui Reiki, I was intentional and selective in my search for the right teacher.
Ksenia exceeded every expectation. She is grounded, professional, and thorough, yet warm and genuinely caring. She goes far beyond the standard curriculum, offering supplemental materials, tools, equipment, and thoughtful guidance for further study. She truly invests in her students’ growth and encourages them to explore their own Reiki path, including integrating other modalities.
On the second day, she went to remarkable lengths to demonstrate techniques and provide hands-on sessions for everyone. The experience was invaluable. I am deeply grateful and truly honored to have Ksenia as my first Reiki Master.”
“I visit all yoga box Studios in San Diego, currently the one I visit the most is the one in Chula Vista. They recently opened and I really like Robert’s flow. His classes are very intentional, you are not only working out, you’re also leaving there with inspiration and a positive outlook. Another reason why I love the practice.”
“I’ve been coming to this location for a little over a month. Validated parking in the same building garage for 75 mins really allowed me to come here with ease. There are different variety of instructors with different styles and intensity level. I have really enjoyed coming here so far!”
“Sooooo... I drank the Crossfit Kool-aid. After years of watching my husband practice this crazy sport, I finally gave in.

I am not now, nor have I ever been a sporty person. I started coming to Mixtape for their yoga classes. Loved it. I then moved on to spin classes. Yes! I can do this. Now I'm doing the crazy WOD (Workout of the Day). I'm actually doing things in the gym I would have never thought I could do.

The coaches are without exception knowledgeable,
approachable, and encouraging. They modify and accomodate the workouts to your level of fitness. The facility is not like a typical chain gym, but it is clean and welcoming. But the NUMBER ONE REASON why I keep coming back is the sense of community that Coaches Sadie and Jason have fostered in their business. The inclusivity and comaraderie and overall lovefest I feel here are everything. Having a cruddy day at work? Come to the box. Relationship woes? Come to the box. Too many tamales? Come to the box. You'll sweat. You'll laugh. You'll feel better. Did I mention this is a dog-friendly spot? Seriosuly... come this box!!!”
“I’ve been trying different yoga studios in the area for about the last month and Yoga House is my favorite! I’m really happy taking classes here. I think the instruction is top notch. The facility is really nice too. Hope this helps!”
“It’s like home! Great studio with great community of teachers and students! Been coming here for 9 years and hopefully forever onward!”
“Undoubtedly the best yoga studio I've practiced at. It's truly a special place.”
“A second home that welcomes all. Come here if you want to learn how to fly, make new friends , and build confidence”
“Love this place! Big variety of classes! I've only done spin, yoga, and I am obsessed with hot mat pilates, never had a bad class. Love Fernanda, Tiffany, Nicole. Thank you for making me stronger! Also super clean changing rooms/showers.”
“great pilates and yoga classes, everyone is super nice and welcoming, reasonably priced. 10/10.”
“I moved to LA 2 months ago and found Heartbeat house a couple weeks ago. After my first class I was totally hooked and couldn’t wait to come back. It’s been such a fun warm and welcoming community and I’m so glad I found it !!”
“Attended a class led by Anita recently and cannot recommend North Ray enough! As a beginner yogi, her instructions were incredibly calm and clear, and I left the room feeling absolutely rejuvenated and ready for my day. Not to mention Anita’s truly powerful singing voice to begin and close the session!! Also had my first experience with a cold plunge and sauna, and WHAT an experience it was. I feel so alive after my visit at North Ray! Thank you Anita and staff!”
“I’ve been attending for over a year and meet my goals each and every time. Coach Akilah and Sham work with you and if your not doing the exercises properly they will help and make sure your doing it correctly. I appreciate this bodywerk team and encourage others to Come… You won’t regret it…”
“Zoe is a brilliant trainer. She's always present and pays close attention to my form and rhythm of execution. Subtle changes can make a huge difference and her precious feedback has allowed me to see results like never before.
Her personal training is also versatile. I had a rib injury and a surgery last winter and she was able to properly adapt our workouts. Not only did I maintain my gains, I also continued making progress despite my limitations.
I've had 2 good trainers in the past, but it's with Zoe that I've seen the best results while also enjoying and looking forward to every session.”
“In a city that runs hot in all the wrong ways, this place is a genuine retreat. Showing up here is an act of self-love. The teachers, more like guides, offer coaching and wisdom that inspire me to become a better yogi. Not by pushing harder but by paying attention. Thank you for all that you do.”
“✨ The Vibe: A Deep Exhale

The message begins outside with a giant reminder: BREATHE.
Enough said, right?

As soon as I walked in, MJ welcomed me & gave me a tour of the space. As we walked through the studio, we ran into our guide, Joe Kara. Meeting your yoga teacher before class is such a treat, and Joe was just as kind, welcoming, & grounded as MJ.

🌀 The Guide: Joe Kara's Urban Flow 60

We began seated, grounding into the Earth and connecting with our ujjayi breath before moving through Surya Namaskar to gradually awaken the body.

The class unfolded into a beautiful, steady vinyasa flow , one breath, one movement at a time.
Joe's music was intentionally lyric-free: down-tempo electronic tracks. Songs like You Wish by Nightmares on Wax carried the practice forward, matching the rhythm of his calm, steady voice.

As Joe moved quietly throughout the room, he read the energy of his students. His cues invited us to deepen through breath, alignment, & awareness.

With permission, I received two assists during class. The first was in Hand-to-Big-Toe Pose, helping my body soften deeply into the fold.

We played with rolling side-to-side in Parsva Dhanurasana (Side Bow Pose), which was new for me and had me feeling it in all sorts of places. 😉

Before I knew it, we were in savasana, where I received my second assist: A gentle grounding of my shoulders into the floor. It felt like I was melting into the Earth (😌)

We closed seated, observing the quality of our breath, the quality of our mind, & the quality of our spirit before Joe thanked us for sharing our energy, time, & presence with him on our beautiful Sunday morning.
Ahhhh, yoga really is that sweet.

🤝 The Tribe: Moving Together, Exploring Individually

There was a nice collective rhythm in the room. We moved together breath by breath, yet Joe created plenty of opportunities to explore our own practice.

Want to play with Crow to Headstand, handstands, or forearm stands? Explore.
Prefer to stay with the back-bending sequence and his steady guidance? It's all good.
That freedom to challenge yourself or honor exactly where you are is one of the things I love about yoga.

🏛 The Space & Place: Industrial Calm & Simplicity

Urban 728 is an unassuming little hidden treasure in Los Angeles.

The exterior is modern and minimalist, with a giant BREATHE mural, a threshold between the outside world and the practice waiting inside.

Inside, the space feels open, airy, and simple: Clean lines, natural light, polished concrete floors, warm wood details, and a fun retail area (I indulged 😉).

The yoga room itself is spacious and beautiful, with dark wood floors, high ceilings, white walls, and plenty of room to move and breathe.

📌 Practical Notes -
🚗 Parking: Free parking lot.
🚿 Amenities: Private showers, restrooms, & plenty of amenities.
🔥 Heat: Warm, but not hot. I came away with a light sweat (a shower is optional - I chose to simply change clothes).
💛 Good to Know: From MJ's thoughtful tour to Joe's welcoming presence and mindful assists, there was a genuine sense of care throughout the entire experience.

✨ The Sum-Up:
A giant wall says BREATHE before you enter.
Joe spends the next 60 minutes guiding you back to it.
And by the end, you simply feel better.”
“It was a freaking beautiful experience. Never knew of the tiny exercises help to release pressure from your body. Truly grateful 🙏”
