1.5 years ago Rick and crew went double time to beat the storms and replace my roof so I could close escrow. Today, Saturday, there is a leak coming in through a skylight that has snow packed around it. I called Rick and he picked up the phone and is on his way in an hour. Superior Customer Service!!!

I'm new in the area and found VJ's by using one of my phone apps, which can be pretty risky I've been a yellow/blond, and have always wanted to go darker with more of an ash color, but my previous hairdresser always told me it wasn't possible. After speaking to Magdalena about my color and what I was hoping for, she whipped up her products and made my hair beautiful! I now have a natural looking color exactly what I wanted and I just love it! She took the time to really listened to me and understand what I really wanted. Ta nails ! After a horrible experience at a nail salon in Auburn I went to Ta nails . Unbelievably fabulous! Jason did a nail dip that is perfect and checked in all the way ! Length , double checked to make sure every nail lined up then made sure I liked the shape ! I'm very picky and have issues with allergic reactions to strong products. I've never been more pleased ! First time at Simply Hair Aveda Salon and I’m officially hooked! The salon is adorable, beautifully decorated, and spotless. I even got to sip a hot cup of tea while my color processed…such a cozy touch.
As a blonde, I’m very particular, but I don’t always know how to best communicate what I like (a slightly darker root for depth, bright blonde around my face, nothing brassy or too ashy) and Victoria nailed it perfectly. She knew exactly what I needed, worked efficiently, and was both friendly and professional. The whole team was welcoming and fun to chat with, making the space feel like a little salon community. Already looking forward to my next visit!
Autumn is hands down IMO the best stylist in the area. I have extremely difficult hair to work with and I often come away from hair appointments extremely disappointed. Not with Autumn. She is truly a gifted and skilled stylist!

I am from NV and was getting married in Grass Valley last weekend. With all the wedding planning, I was unable to get a tan like I had wanted to. I also wanted to get a spray tan within 24 hours of the wedding, but the wedding travel schedule prevented that as well. I searched everywhere in Grass Valley for spray tanning and found Madisyn who was the only one who offered the service. She got me in quickly and her tan was AMAZING. My groom was worried I'd be orange and I also never feel that most tanning places offer a dark option. I went to see Madisyn at her shop and it was SO CUTE. She also made me feel so comfortable and did a great job. I felt like a Princess the next day!!!

Kelly is an amazing human who wants to help you look and feel your best. I have been going to Kelly now for about 4 years I found her after I went to a salon and got a bad reaction to the wax and they waxed my brows so thin I looked ridiculous. Kelly saved the day my brows are back to normal and haven’t had any break outs from the wax. Her office is so clean and organized. You step into her office and instantly feel at home. She’s also so easy to talk to. Definitely recommend Kelly for your wax needs. She is the best in town in my opinion.

We've hired him multiple times in the past 1.5 years. He services our generator yearly. He changed out all 9 of our smoke detectors. The kitchen is now safer with gfci outlets, and I've had him replace several lights.
(just one more thought) While he was here, he taught me a few things! I'm a curious person and always peeking over shoulders to learn; he took it in stride and was incredibly patient answering my questions. I am really, really grateful for his expertise.

The master bedroom is the only room that we have not remodeled and carpet clearly proved it. This 25 year old carpet has collect dirt and stains that I have not been able to remove over the years. Even though my wife and plan on remodeling it next year this carpet was an eye sore! I have had it cleaned twice professionally within the first 15 years of use but really wasn't quite satisfied. The last 5 years I have tried cleaning it myself using different methods and cleaning machines. It was clear nothing was going to get this carpet clean. I couldn't take anymore so looked for company that did not use the steam cleaning method. I reached out to Isaac and was able to schedule a next day appointment. He was pleasantly professional over the phone. When he arrived I showed him the carpet and said to him I am not expecting a miracle but simply something better than what I have to look at.
40 minutes later, Isaac came into the living room and said he was finished. He asked to to take a look at it to see what I tought of his work. I walked down the hallway and even before I reached the MB I could see a huge difference! I walked in and was astonished!
The carpet almost looked brand new! I was floored! So I had him also clean a 10 x 12 carpet in the living room. Isaac loaded up his equipment and we talked outside for a long time. I could tell he is just a good honest business owner just trying to make a good honest living. His price was very fare! I highly recommend this business!

Packard flooring delivered excellent quality and experience! We had our new floors (LVT) installed about 3 years ago and they look perfect. We recently had a slight issue due to replacing a sliding door, where we needed a new edge strip. Nick at Packard was helpful, responsive, and came outside of business hours to review the issue. While there, he also offered to replace the glue on a separate piece that got frequent wear. He returned and completed the job on time, with excellent install, and friendliness. We are very satisfied and definitely recommend!

It had changing elevations and tight curves to deal with, making it very challenging, but they made sure it all came together perfectly, draining away the house, and out to the street. Dalton and Rory were prompt with their email and phone communications, and came out within a few days for an inspection (for mice getting into our older manufactured home). Rory did a thorough inspection, was very helpful with all his advice, comments and information. He was quick in getting us the quote for putting up a barrier. We had to decline the suggested work, since its expensive right now to do on this old home, but if/when we decide to fix up this place, we will certainly be in touch with them again about putting up the suggested/quoted barrier.

(no relation to Evy Waters below) These folks were easy to work with, thorough and quick. We had a 80'+ tall cedar growing through our deck and an oak spur that needed to be removed. They did all of the work in less than a full work day and cleaned up afterward. Nor was the job easy--it required a crane and involved some weird angles from the street. Job was done exactly as described to me. Notably, they were a pleasant surprise on the estimate, which was lower than expected. That doesn't happen often. When I need tree work done again I'll be calling them back.

One of the greatest dentist offices here in Grass Valley! Everyone is kind, professional, and makes you feel comfortable. I really enjoyed Hannah taking care of me, she was a fabulous hygienist and I will continue to see her from now on.

Kebby is the only chiropractor I trust to adjust my husband (who had micro surgery in his neck due to a blown disc). I know he is well taken care of each time. I need to go more regularly for sure! He has the knowledge to approach problems and even fix those problems without drastic measures but with chiropractor care. I would highly recommend him to any family member or friend.
Dr. Leek has helped me a lot and doesn't push extra stuff like some other places I have been before.

DR. Patt and his wife are amazing. They always squeeze you in last minute, or get you in first thing the next day. It's the best and cheapest place to get your physical for your CDL. They are familiar with the paperwork they handle it all.

Dr. Sullivan has a very pleasant demeanor. Her visits are extremely efficient. Your waiting times will either be zero or near zero. And it's not because she doesn't see a lot of people. She does. But she's efficient :) This leads to a natural flexibility in scheduling which is another plus. However, she will still take the time you need should you have any questions, and will show / teach you things as well.
I drive out from the Grass Valley area because nobody here was in network or would bill my insurance. Not a problem here.
Her experience shows in her smooth and effective way of doing the adjustments.

Don't know what our family would do without Dr. Woodhall! He has helped us all! He is attentive and thorough. My dog was diagnosed to be on tramadol and head pressing against a wall, unable to move. After one visit, she was walking again and well on her way to a better life. Not to mention that Dr. Woodhall is a wise and knowledgeable person that is so enjoyable to be around, that we all want to go! Every visit we learn something new, just an added bonus to an adjustment!

Sadly our beloved dog needed to be put down and Dr. Brian Rios-Mendez and the vet techs were extraordinarily kind and compassionate and accommodated our needs with such care. They helped make an awful experience as gentle as can be. We are forever grateful.
The first day moving to Grass Valley, our big dog was stressed from moving and got so worked up that her throat started closing. They took care of her immediately and had her back to rights and happy. This was during covid, and they weren't taking new patients and were short staffed, and still made time for us. They had to slightly sedate her and keep her at their feet while doing surgery to keep an eye on her.
We've used them ever since and trust their every decision! Our pets are happy and healthy thanks to Best friends!
I had to put my 12 year old American bully down a couple weeks ago due to cancer and I took him to Brunswick Vet. Dr. Mikaela was absolutely amazing and talked to my kids and I gracefully throughout the whole process. She was comforting and very patient with my sons and I couldn't have asked for a more professional and sympathetic person to help us through the difficult situation. Beautiful location, warm, welcoming staff. I really enjoyed the yoga & meditation sessions. The food was nourishing & tasty. Accommodations are modest, but comfortable. Nice hikes & seeing the llamas & goats roaming around the property was cool. Also glimpsed a couple deer. I've been before & look forward to returning again.

I stumbled upon Stephen's practice about six months after spraining my jaw and suffering from whiplash. I had not been able to sleep without neck pain, headaches, numbness in my hands, etc for a couple of months. I was desperate for some ease. After my first session (which did not directly work on my injuries) I felt relief. I proceeded to do the series and learn what Rolfing is all about and I'm sold. I have been able to sleep ever since, pain and numbness free. I will continue to go back to Stephen to both work on my injuries as well as just get more deep healing body work. I've never experienced anything quite like it. It hurts so good! Seeing Stephen regularly for a few months now has also been funny and joyful on a personal level. He is a good human and I always look forward to spending time with him.
Michelle gives amazing massages. She gets right to where you need it. It’s very therapeutic! I’m also a massage therapist, therefore very picky to who works on me. I see Michelle twice a month to make sure my body is in top shape!
Had the most amazing prenatal massage from Jessica Frink today. She was so gentle but really worked through the entire body. She did everything from massage, acupuncture, cupping to even hot stones. I was so relaxed and comfortable and would highly recommend this for any mama struggling with pain during their pregnancy!!
I had my first Ayurvedic treatment experience and it was so wonderful. Valerie was knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging, explaining each process and ensuring I was always comfortable. If you are not familiar with Ayurveda, I recommend calling to consult with one of their practitioners to design a visit that fits your needs. I will definitely be back to continue my journey.
