After dealing with intense pain for two months, Shockwave therapy allowed me to return to sports and stay active again after just a few treatments. The HealthWell team was professional, attentive, and clearly identified my problem and treated me appropriately. Highly recommend for anyone dealing with persistent pain.“

1080 Monroe St Ste 110, Albany“I LOVE StretchLab! The Albany shop has the greatest Flexologists known to man or woman!! Ina, Marie, Lucia & Danny have all helped me so much! I initially went in after Kaiser had diagnosed me with IT Band inflammation - Kaiser's solution? Phone session with a Physical Therapist & then sent some videos to watch & follow!! That was IT!
My first session at StretchLab, I had Ina - a trained PT in her home country - who was amazing . . . . .. I literally felt like skipping out of that first session. What I really like about StretchLab is that each Flexer takes notes on your session & condition on that day so when I was unable to book Ina again for awhile - she is so popular! Marie then Lucia then Danny were all able to pick up on my progress & continue the notes!
The management is so responsive & hands on . . . . .Shahria is there almost every time I come in. . . . that is very nice to see! All of the staff are such great folks & I thank the Universe daily for being able to find tham . . . . thanks Kaiser! You did me a favor!“

2650 Shattuck Ave., Berkeley“Rob Lin is an exceptional physical therapist. Rob and his entire team are patient and welcoming, and his 1-on-1 work is phenomenal. If you have the option, I cannot recommend The Technique enough. I knew when I signed up that working with him would be an investment, and it is one I am so glad I made.
I came in with an injury that I have been struggling with for 4 months. I had been seeing another PT but I had repeated setbacks during my recovery. I was in consistent pain and I wasn’t improving.
In 3 weeks or so, Rob has gotten me to a place where I can function again and even push my physical limits. He is kind, reassuring, and his hands-on work has consistently made an obvious impact. Immediately after getting off the table, I feel less pain and improved stability that last. His work on me has allowed me to push further during session and during at-home exercises, which he’s tailored based on my feedback.
TLDR: I’ve already recommended Rob and The Technique PT to friends struggling with injuries and would urge anyone to book a free in-person consultation. Rob is amazing and I look forward to every session. I can’t thank him and his team enough.

460 Boulevard Way #2d, Oakland“My experience at Renew Physical Therapy was fantastic, and having “graduated” from my visits a month ago, it’s clear to me that my back problems have subdued and are in the most controlled state they’ve been in years.
I was paired with Josh who I trusted almost immediately, and after a few sessions it was clear he was a good match for me and great PT in general. He was able to be almost casual or informal, while being professional at the same time. He took the time to get to know me and my issues, and his knowledge about the subject was evident. I was impressed and will be forever thankful.
The facility administrators were also great. I incorrectly documented one of my appointments and ended up accidentally no-showing, but instead of getting annoyed or charging a fee, they worked with me to reschedule quickly and efficiently. They were kind and personable, and I also really liked how quickly they responded to text messages.
It may not seem like a big deal but it was also convenient that there were always parking options outside too.
I would strongly recommend this business. And while I hope I don’t have a reason to go back, it’s comforting knowing they’re close by.“

She's extremely knowledgeable, explaining why I had certain sensations and pains based on my body's physiology. I also found the exercises effective. I have progressed well in range of motion, strength, and pain reduction. I'm climbing and doing yoga again, in a way that seemed impossible when when started. I highly recommend Emily!“

916 San Pablo Ave, Albany“Dr. Cohen & the team at Innate has genuinely saved my life! If I could give ten stars, I would. I have Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (hEDS), and I could not ask for a better chiropractor. I have tried many practitioners who could barely keep me walking, and Dr. Cohen was able to get me out of support braces, stuck in bed most days in pain, and now I am dancing on my feet again! He is not only an excellent chiropractor, but also an incredibly kind, empathetic, and caring person who treats my chronic full-body condition with a gentle, effective, mind-body-spirit approach. The combination of chiropractic, PDTR, NET, and everything else that Dr. Cohen uses has been so effective. The other practitioners I have seen, Dr. Jen, Dr. Furda, Kenny Givens (massage therapist), and Michael Huff (orthobionomy) are all also very excellent, knowledgeable, and kind. Kenny Givens is my favorite medical massage therapist and I always come out of my appointments feeling better! The front desk staff is fantastic as well, Randi especially is so sweet and helpful. I recommend Innate to literally everyone I know, especially my friends with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome & other chronic conditions. Thank you so much to everyone at Innate for significantly improving my quality of life!“

948 San Pablo Ave, Albany“Ann Michelle Ongerth, Clincal Director, and her staff have been instrumental in supporting my 22 year old college student with her recovery from a winter break ACL knee surgery. She had only 3-weeks to get strong enough post surgery to return to campus for the next quarter and be independent enough to get around mostly on her own. Ucla is a hilly campus with very limited parking so this seemed like a daunting goal, but with Albany Physical Therapy’s expert guidance and treatment, she was able to meet this goal! I can’t express my gratitude strongly enough for Ann Michelle and the staff as a mother, knowing my daughter is now stable enough and ready to return to school to continue her healing journey. My daughter entered in extreme pain and after only two weeks is able to exercise and move on her own. The staff have been so caring and prioritized getting her appointments because they saw how much she needed them. The most effective, supportive, thoughtful, and fun physical therapy you could hope for!“

1841 Lombard St, San Francisco“I’m a firm believer in the importance of excellent customer service, and Diamond Pain Relief & Wellness truly delivered. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff was warm and welcoming, setting a positive tone for the entire experience. The professionalism continued seamlessly through my session with James Cowan and even post-appointment.
The atmosphere at Diamond is inviting and serene, there's a noticeable calmness that instantly puts you at ease. It’s a space where you feel both comfortable and cared for.
My session with James was nothing short of amazing. Before we got started, he took the time to ask thoughtful questions to understand my needs and help set expectations for our time together. I tend to ask a lot of questions during sessions, not just out of curiosity, but to make sure what I’m feeling internally aligns with what the professional is noticing and James was incredibly patient and responsive.
What really stood out was how the conversation didn’t take away from the experience; in fact, it enhanced it. James explained the techniques he was using, the reasons behind them, and was open to my feedback throughout. It was a balanced exchange that gave me clarity about my body and my treatment without compromising the quality of the massage. Instead of feeling like the talking was a distraction, it felt like an added value an educational experience on top of a therapeutic one.
I left not only feeling physically better but also more informed and at peace. If you’re looking for high-quality, thoughtful, and personalized care, I highly recommend considering Diamond Pain Relief & Wellness.“

3040 Larkin St, San Francisco“This is my second series of PT treatments at Apex, two years apart (different issues). APEX wowed me the first time, and when the doctors suggested some new PT, there was only one call to make. APEX continues to impress. A very spacious facility with a view across the bay to Marin, exceptionally clean, where all the equipment is maintained in great working order. And most importantly, a dedicated and knowledgeable staff.“

44 Gough St Floor 3, Ste. 308, San Francisco“I highly recommend Lands End! I’ve been a client for 6 months. I was specifically searching for a small practice and found this gem. Each visit I spend some time 1:1 with Micheline, PT and owner. I previously been to large studios where I felt like a name on a piece of paperwork.
I’m always able to get an appointment (!!!) and the young trainers communicate the exercises well.
I’ve made great progress according to my 6-month surgeon check- in. I hit my summer goals to get biking and hiking. I’m on track for my 9 month winter goal of skiing.
I really like the phone app that shows the weekly exercises to do at home as small videos.“

2001 Fourth St, Berkeley“I highly recommend SOL Physical Therapy in Berkeley on Fourth St. The facility is nice. I am working with Aaron and Damien. They are knowledgeable, understanding, listens to your concerns and recommends the appropriate therapy plan. I had hip replacement surgery and my recovery has been excellent under their guidance. My one comment is that it was hard to get in as quickly as I wanted and appointments are not always readily available. However, they make every attempt to accommodate your schedule.“

1801 Bush St, San Francisco“I’m an ex-athlete that still plays lots of sports and am very active in my free time. I never quite learned the value of stretching before exercise and as I get older, I’m learning the hard way.
Whenever I’m hurt, GGPT is the first call. I’ve come in for a tweaked neck, strained glute, and some other stuff I’ve gotten as a result of lifting/playing sports without stretching.
I haven’t tried any other PTs in SF, but that’s because I’ve never needed to. Been coming here about 3 years for short stints as needed. They are consistently very good at their jobs and they’re genuinely very kind people. Highly recommend this group!“

403 49th St suite a, Oakland“Amy and Iris are the two PT's that I've seen at Back to Life Physical Therapy; they both are very knowledgable, and thorough in their explanations and guidance. In addition to their abundant knowledge in the specific area of pelvic floor, the extra care and time they put in to really listen, understand and then instruct me have been what distinguishes them in the field of physical therapists. I have improved since starting to work with them (a year ago). The office is kept clean and neat, and is full of natural wood, natural light, and includes a library of pertinent material. Colleena, the receptionist/office manager, is a wonderful and personable and efficient part of the team. I highly recommend this practice.“

2855 Telegraph Ave Ste 301, Berkeley“I have had great results for my pelvic issues with PHRC, with Tiffany Ai Lan Vo and other PT’s there. The support staff is also very supportive, welcoming and competent in dealing with the insurance maze. Thank you Lisa Topete. I got excellent PT care, support and guidance there and highly recommend PHRC.
I went to PHRC after a mountain biking accident and healing of my fractured pelvic bone. The scar tissue buildup was restricting my range of motion and made bike riding painful. After much research, I found PHRC as the only PT clinics in the North Bay providing both strengthening training and manual therapy. I’m completely past my injuries and in a better physical condition than before my fall accident.“

“This business is a hidden gem, and Andreea is the absolute BEST. I’ve been to all sorts of massage, body work, and physical therapy places and nothing else compares to the service here. Andreea’s wealth of knowledge is evident- she has a deep understanding of anatomy (particularly in women) and utilizes a range of modalities in each session. Often times I have come in with muscle pain but left feeling like my tightness was finally able to relax. I could say great things about this business all day! Highly recommend“
