“I had a frightening experience recently when a key hard drive stopped functioning and I was unable to access the data for a specialized imaging unit. The hardware provider was supposed to back up this drive to my server and cloud but apparently failed to do so. I was in a terrible situation. I called several hard drive recovery companies and they advised me the drive would have to be shipped out of state and would cost thousands of dollars to recover the data.
