Cut was shorter than I asked for, I have thinning hair in the front and it made me look terrible. Also put some nasty product in my hair but never asked me if it was okay to use. The guy was friendly and polite but I am guessing it’s not the guy someone referred me to because his haircut was great. Also for 30$ he should of trimmed my eyebrows and ears. He did one ear just a bit and totally overlooked the other ear. I would recommend that people are very clear about what they want. One last thing and I hate to say this, but did I get lesser treatment for being a minority in the shop? I am not racist and have respect for all humans, one of the reasons I went into a all Hispanic barber shop. I have to say! those are some really cool benches!!! and the shop atmosphere is good!!!
It’s been about two weeks now and my hair actually grew out really nice, so that’s a positive thing at least. It’s always easy to judge quickly and possibly realize things may not be as bad as you originally thought.

I hadn’t been to a barbershop in over two years, but I’m really glad I came to Danny’s Barbershop in Chico. Omar was my barber, and he absolutely nailed it. I didn’t want a fade—just a clean #3 buzz with a bald taper at the bottom—and he delivered exactly what I asked for. The blending in the back and the sharpness of the lines are honestly the best I’ve ever had.
Even though I don’t have much of a beard, Omar still took the time to shape it and blended my sideburns into the taper seamlessly. It made a huge difference.
On top of that, he’s just a great guy. Super easy to talk to and genuinely engaged in the conversation. The hour flew by because we were just bullshitting and laughing the whole time.
Highly recommend Omar—he’s got real skill and makes the whole experience feel effortless.
I needed a haircut for a meeting the next day, and was blessed to have them take me on the spot. The energy in the place was great, the barbers were welcoming, prices were very fair, and I just felt comfortable altogether. David, my barber, did a highly thorough and incredible job on my haircut and beard trim. Mickey, another Barber working there gave me some helpful information on dealing with some scalp irritation from my shampoo’s. I Cannot recommend this barber shop enough!

I have personally not been to THIS shop, but I know the enVogue products for over 15 yrs. Absolutely the best! My fill lasts 4 weeks with nary a crack or chip. Since I've moved to Greeley CO I've not been able to find a nail tech who uses these products. I'm still looking -- Jill (at Nail Candy) is helping me.
I’ve been going to see Jess for about a year now for acrylic overlay. I usually go with an image of what I like and from there she is able to collaborate with me and turn it into something I love. The main thing that sets Jess apart is that she is a true artist and has that artistic eye. She gets excited about doing something creative and different and she is just such a positive, fun energy to be around. She has amazed me over and over again with her creativity, artistry, professionalism and work ethic. I cannot recommend her enough and can say with 100 percent certainty that you would leave her salon disappointed.
Hands down the best pedicure I've EVER had. I've been here twice now and both times were fantastic. They were also incredibly accommodating, they opened up early for me and my best friend on the day of my wedding. I recently got the Glow & Grow mini facial from her as well, and I just scheduled myself another one for next month because it was too good. Megs has also helped me evaluate my skincare routine and helped me make some super simple tweaks to improve it, and I’m totally seeing improvement as a result. Jennifer was fabulous! I treated myself today with a facial, and she gave me one of the most pampering and relaxing facials I have ever had (and I’ve had a lot!) She had so many extra touches that made it special,too many to put in my review but there were candles everywhere and a hot foot bath aroma therapy and massage of neck,shoulders,arms/hands and feet! It was perfect and it was such a good time! Shes very knowledgeable about her profession and explains things very well so that you know what is going on and helps you understand what your options are. We discussed doing some other services and I will be going back next week to have some derma planing done,and I’m excited to try her lash extensions as I like her approach to them,as she makes sure you understand the service and the maintenance as well as doing things in a way that will keep your natural lashes in good health. I took a handful of cards to give to friends,and I can’t wait to go back!

My wife and I went to Chico and decided to get matching tattoos. Other shops minimums were ridiculous. We just happened to walk into the tattoo company and Jay gave us a great quote and was able to bring our idea of our tattoos to life. The price was great, shop was nice and Jay was excellent. Our tattoos were very simple and Jay took his time to make sure they looked great. You know you’ve found a good artist when the artist gets excited for their work at the end of a tattoo. Very light atmosphere for all your body work needs. It is a "hole in the wall," pun intended, bodywork shop. Run by a chico local for over 4 years and counting now. Very easy going and ready to sling some ink for sure. Alley tats is where my work is done if you are interested here are some pics. I would give this a 5 star if I wasn't such a prude. One of the best and easiest experiences for anybody wanting their first ink or seasoned cartoon characters wanting to fill in the rest of their skin!

Hooker oak plumbing company is the only plumbing company I trust. I've used Curt many times including recently fixing what another plumber from an un-named reputable company mis-diagnosed over charged and ultimately did not fix. Part of my job is to help small businesses - Watkins Plumbing hit everything on the dot for what they should do. I called and they immediately answered the phone. I described my issue and they said they should be available within a 2-5 hour timeframe and they would let me know. I provided my email address, and immediately received an appointment reminder for 2hrs 30 minutes, exactly what they quoted me. It is now 3:30pm and they just left. Very friendly, saw some small issues that they took care of (above my main issue), and explained everything well. Professional, clean, knowledgeable, and definitely worth referrals!

I really had thought I was having a major issue with the whole system but was relieved to have everything working well by the time Brandon left. Randy helped me out by going to my elderly Mom's house to check out her shower, hot water faucet that was dripping out small amounts of water, turned on full blast and not allowing pressure. He was amazing! I would highly recommend him if you need a professional, kind, knowledgeable plumber!

From the time of my first call to NVA to the time of completed repair, only an hour and ten minutes had passed. Jason was excellent. He diagnosed and repaired the issue with my dryer in minutes. Don’t waist time with other appliance repair shops. NVA does it right.

Our house was still under construction when we ordered, so they were flexible with our delivery date which was really helpful. When the delivery day came, they gave us a window of 11am-12pm and showed up at 11:05. All three men who delivered the appliances were kind and listened to all of our questions and concerns. A couple of pieces of our refrigerator were slightly broken but Taylor was quick to bring it to our attention and get the parts reordered immediately. They set up the fridge, dishwasher, and oven and made sure everything was working properly. They also made sure we knew how to use each appliance before leaving.
Overall this was such a good experience and I recommend Ginno’s to anyone looking for new appliances!
These 5 stars are for Lawson, the tech who came to my house. My entire experience with Sears has been awful! But Lawson was the only honest, kind, hard worker I’ve experienced in the last 4 weeks it’s taken me to get my refrigerator fixed! Without him it never would have happened. The customer service on the phone and the other techs were all useless. Thank you Lawson for taking your time, having pride in what you do, and putting customers first.
Highly Recommend. We needed my girlfriend's car ignition reprogrammed after it was stolen and we retrieved it, we called Lock Doc before closing and they asked us to call them back the following day, ended up getting a 10:30am appointment; great communication and response time.
They came earlier than they said they would, and the entire service took ~30 minutes, which exceeded my expectations. The entire process was well walked through, they answered all our questions respectfully, their knowledge in this service reassured me of their quality. A few weeks ago I contacted Modern Carpet Cleaning to set up a cleaning for my home. From calling to set up the appointment to the moment Anthony showed up to my home, I was impressed with the communication and customer service. Towne is literally the worst business we have ever had the displeasure of working with. To say we are unhappy with our flooring install experience would be an understatement. We had the Mannington AduraMax in Gunstock installed. This flooring DENTS. The installer dented new planks moving our fridge back. He had to rip them out but missed a couple that we noticed later that night, so he had to come back out and redo it again. Guess what? The floor dented again when moving our fridge back. My husband had the idea to lay another layer of the same plank (that was damaged previously) over the flooring to protect it against denting...it didn't work! It dented right through the layer on top. After being ripped out and fixed AGAIN, they layered our old laminate over the flooring when moving the fridge...it didn't dent underneath. For some reason, our old low quality laminate doesn't dent, but this stuff does. The manager claims this is standard for LVP after my husband complained, but no one disclosed this to us. It was touted as top of the line, waterproof, scratch resistant...but no one said it dents easily. Also, we know people with LVP and none of them have had this issue. The floor is also "bouncy" in several areas. We were assured by the installer and two different people at Towne that it is normal and would settle, but it hasn't. When my husband complained to the installer again when he came to fix the denting, he said that our floor wasn't level...yet he told us before installing that nothing needed to be done and he was going to start laying the plank! So which is it? Is our floor level or not level? And if it wasn't level that should have been mentioned and corrected prior to the floor being installed. My husband called Towne and talked to the manager, who came and looked at our floor. He had the installer come AGAIN to level a spot on the floor, but it didn't help because there are multiple spots that need to be leveled. But that's not all! The installer didn't put silicone along the walls that border the outside, which is what we had before. My husband told him we would like it done because it was there when the old laminate was ripped out. The installer insisted there was no need for it and he's never seen that before. We wound up having bugs coming in that way, specifically an army of ants. We have NEVER had that issue before, so clearly it was because he didn't put the silicone back along the walls. He also cut one of our baseboards despite it being the perfect size, so now the baseboard has a cut in it, there were scratches and scuff marks that wouldn't come out and needed to be fixed, and my husband had to help move appliances when we PAID for it to be done. We were told verbally that there is a two year warranty on the install. My husband asked to get that in writing. He was told that it is in the contract. My husband looked...it's not in the contract. He asked again to get it in writing, to which they told us verbally that there's a two year warranty. For some reason, they really don't want us to have proof that there's a two year warranty! Our floor still isn't fixed. We want a discount and to be over this whole situation, but they want to redo our floor, which means more time out of our lives and having to move heavy furniture that was a struggle to move the first time around. We have a very heavy piano and cabinet that we were barely able to move the first time around. The other option was a $200 discount to keep it as is, which is insulting for everything we've had to deal with. Even if they come out and redo the flooring, we deserve more than $200 off for everything we've had to put up with! To make matters worse, Towne never checked in to make sure we were happy with any of the fixes. They just sent us the bill in the mail. Now they are threatening to take us to collections. Horrible company. Go anywhere else.

She has an artist’s ability to design rooms that are functional and beautiful. The colors flow beautifully from our kitchen to the bathrooms.
Keith oversaw the entire project. From his vast experience, he offered wonderful suggestions all along the journey. He has a marvelous eye for detail and is meticulous with his craft. Here’s a great example. My wife and I selected beautiful tile for our bathroom floors. But when the tiles arrived, a box of them were the wrong color! They were gray. Keith and his tile guy, Brian, looked at the “wrong” tiles in the box and made an amazing discovery. They were the perfect color for our bathrooms. Keith called this to our attention. He and Brian were right. They were perfect. Talk about serendipity!

Sabin arrives every month to spray my outdoors for preventing roaches from coming inside. He is great, answers all my questions and addresses my concerns. He also cleans the cobwebs around the exterior. He sends out a text the evening before to remind me before he arrives and is considerate of my gate being closed and locked when done to prevent the dogs from escaping.

Ben was excellent and is highly recommended. He provided a realistic timeline and completed the project early when a window opened for him. He listened to our ideas and then developed a great design, which included elements we had not considered. His pricing was reasonable and stayed within the initial expectations. I highly recommend Joshua and his team from Tree of Eden. They gave me a competitive price quote, good scheduling, and very careful service. Removing an 85 foot tall pecan that was towering over my second story house, using their crane and manlift and skills, they didn't damage anything. They ground the stump and left the place broom clean -- on schedule, within budget, very professional.

The office receptionist is friendly, knowledgeable and efficient and answers any questions I have when I call. I would recommend Dr. Crowson to anyone who needs dental care.

They don’t take Delta, but you pay 100% up front, they bill Delta, and Delta reimburses you; it’s a pretty simple and straightforward process.

Dr John has helped me a couple of times with issues now. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain the cause of the issue he is treating so that I always knew exactly what he was doing and why. He approaches his work from a place of genuine compassion. I believe that John’s experience as the owner and operator of a strength and conditioning facility, a fitness coach and a martial artist gives him a better perspective on what physical performance should be than the perspective of your typical medical professional. Is really helping me get better after a fall I had in January 2024 on my birthday.
I have always had lower back pain. Dr. Rogers was the one that could fix it as a machine that he does manually so he can adjust it perfectly by fill and touch which is very important to me because he understood the body I was able to walk and taller I might add! I told her I recommend Dr Rodger!

One of the best Doctors in Chico/ I was in a very bad way ! Couldn’t move my neck/ After just one visit I was truly amazed how he brought me back to normal…… My life is much better ?????
This sounds funny, but the best thing Dr. Smith has done for me was to refuse to treat me because of my symptoms - instead, he referred me to the ER, where an MRI revealed that I had severe spinal stenosis which required rapid surgical intervention to prevent further nerve damage. Dr. Smith accurately identified an issue that was missed or misdiagnosed by my primary physician, Urgent Care, and two neurologists.
Post-surgery, I continue to see Dr. Smith for ongoing maintenance adjustments - he is always attentive and compassionate and clearly interested in my condition and care. I trust his judgement and his skill and appreciate his careful attention. His assistant Rocco is always friendly and helpful and the office is a welcoming, relaxing space.
Dr. Smith also offers a free tai chi class on Friday mornings that I've found very helpful both physically and mentally.
I feel very lucky that Spine Chiropractic is here to help me.

I love Riverwood Veterinary! Dr Sandy saved my dog Muffin's Jaw when it was broken. she's a shih-tzu, so when traditional tape muzzle treatment wouldn't work, Dr. Sandy forged ahead in her own path! It was amazing, and we wouldn't be here without Dr. Sandy! Riverwood is excellent with all of my pets, and they know who I am and what pets belong to me. My pets are more than a number, and are treated like family at Riverwood! we are so grateful for all of the services and support, and the staff at Riverwood.

Brought in my med-large dog for a nail trim. He'd never got them trimmed before, and he's not a huge fan of having his feet messed with, and they did SUCH a fantastic job. The groomer was quick, gentle and did a fantastic job at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended!
This place is wonderful the groomer is attentive to your pet and a real sweet person.

I have a 1yr old shitzhu and spent months trying to groom her, took her to pet smart only for them to call me back an hour later because she was too anxious. All pet smart did was gave her a bath, didn't even blow dry her, she came back home wet. Tried this place since it's closer to home, and when I picked up my baby, well the smile on her face says it better than I can
Alex was awesome! His Yin Class was all levels and he offered challenges and modifications as needed. The music was chilled out and perfect for Yin. Freebird is a great studio which l visit whenever in town!
A gem of a studio with awesome yoga wall. Been an Iyengar Student of Tom (one of the owners/teachers) for 15 years. A wide variety of classes and events. We're really lucky to have this studio in Chico.

Great massage! Ben was able to squeeze me in last minute during a long drive down from Seattle. I was on the struggle bus with sciatica, and he was able to unlock a lot of the physical and energetic tightness I was experiencing. Like magic, I am no longer in pain. A rare massage that walked the line between feeling good and actually making a difference.
I had 2 Lymphatic drainage massage with Justina. I needed this 2 last Lymphatic drainage massage and she was able to squeeze me into her schedule that same day and the following day. She was very nice , sweet, caring and professional. She's one of a kind and l'm glad that I had found her. She very knowledgeable and experienced. I will definitely see her more in the future. Whoever needs a Massages Therapist or thinking about finding a new therapist, I highly recommend Justina.
Crystal is amazing. She has helped me for years dealing with soreness, tightness, and pain while being an athlete at Chico State. She is so kind, knowledgable, and I recommend her to anyone looking for a deep tissue massage. She is the best!!
It's amazing what Julie can do in just an hour! I have anxiety and back pain and I feel so relaxed and refreshed after an hour with her. She is an all around good human and so kind. She truly cares about helping people feel better. I have never felt more comfortable with a massage therapist.

I recently had a long cross country drive that, left my back in severe pain. I stopped by Chico, Oriental Massage and was met my Lily. She treated me like a King during the entire massage and worked out all the knots and tight muscles. Definitely left feeling like a new man and pain free! I highly recommend this place. Attended a couples massage class hosted by Candi, the owner. She laid out what to expect, and what not to expect, so everyone was on the same page. She explained things in such a clear, efficient manner, and ensured that every person was comfortable on whatever level was appropriate for them. Created an atmosphere of utmost professionalism, serenity, knowledge, and fun. I don't think there was anyone there who walked away without new skills and knowledge. Massage techniques, muscular skeletal anatomy explanation, and even the paramount importance of communication with your partner to ensure they are receptive to touch. Nothing but relaxed smiles from all attendees at the end. Fantastic class, I would recommend to anyone from any skill level. Plus an included home massage kit!
I feel it important to note that besides Candi's clear passion for teaching and passing on her craft, she is nothing short of a genius at massage. I've had the privilege of being on her table many times, and I've never had another masseuse even remotely close to her skill level.

I’ve began going to Kristen for waxing a few months ago. I’ve been waxing for years using the hard wax method but have been noticing it’s pulling and hurting my skin more than it used to. Kristen uses a soft wax method that only holds on to the hair and hurts much less. I no longer have the residual skin irritation. I’m looking Forward to trying her other services. Her space is small but cozy and very clean. Highly recommend.

I have been treating with Dr. Regina Dagorret for over 20 years. She has not only treated me, but my children as well who are now adults and firemen and who continue to treat with her. Since originally treating with Dr. Dagorret, I have been diagnosed with Chronic Lyme Disease. I wasn't able to lift my hand above my shoulder or turn my neck very much. I was certain my shoulder would need surgery and was desperate for some relief. I have never thought much about acupuncture. I had nothing against it, just never interested. My pain and limited range of motion had me grasping at straws for relief. Adrian was able to get me in that morning. I wasn't expecting miracles or even anything substantial to happen. after the first session I was able to lift my hand over my head! It was still hurt, but I could lift my arm up again! I'm still being treated, but I can now turn my head without pain and my shoulder is improving every week.
so many positives here . adrian is a very experienced intuitive gentle practitioner. i have referred several people that also have gotten great results, less pain, feelings of relaxation etc. everyone experience's will vary. i consider it to be part of my health care. so fantastic. and very reasonable cost.
