“Mahalia and Karl were fantastic with our new puppy, Goose! We did in-home private trainings so our whole family including our daughter could participate. They were both so kind, patient and clear with the training skills. They were very understanding when our daughter got distracted during training and stayed patient with her. They both have such a positive attitudes and sweet dispositions with dogs. They showed great professionalism and were on time for appointments. I look forward to continuing to work with them as we may need tune-ups for our dog as he ages. Highly recommend using Mutts and Munch for your training needs!“

“What a place! My wife and I visited a dear friend's dog at Topanga Pet Resort this past weekend. When we encountered Ivy, a precious 2 year old Pitty, she seemed very relaxed and well fed. We found the boarding facility to truly feel like a resort. The surrounding trees and ample greenery make the place very serene. All the dogs that were being housed and those who were coming in for training seemed genuinely happy to be there. Additionally, we met a couple of the trainers during our visit there and they were extremely knowledgeable and compassionate towards their canine friends. If you need a place to take your furry friend, Topanga Pet Resort is the place!“

“Barks N’ Rec is a superb Boarding House for Dogs! We cannot express how grateful my Fa and I are for their continued dedication to their work, making our sweet dog HarleQuin feel as if she’s at home! Harley has a tumor that is being controlled with anti-seizure med. and Barks N’ Rec outdid themselves when she had a number of seizures while my family and I were at work on our way there. Harley is happy there, and pulls us in when we are approaching their building! Barks N Rec offers daily walks to exercise their clients, training classes, art projects, grooming services too. We are beyond grateful for all of them and highly suggest their services! The best!“

We have 2 lovely dogs, Luna and Rufus, who are very reactive, territorial, and overprotective. After a few training sessions, they are both much improved - they do not pull during walks and there is lesser barking at other dogs and people.
We highly recommend Laura. She is the best trainer. She made sure she met with us and our babies and assessed our issues and addressed all our concerns. She is very generous with her time and with her advice and tips. It was all worth it.

“I brought my standard poodle in a couple weeks ago, and I was very happy with how she was introduced to the facility and how they checked her thoroughly and then they treated her really well and gave her a wonderful cut and full groom. I'm going to bring my other mini golden doodle there. I'm glad I found them.“
