“A really wonderful dentist. I drive all the way to Berkeley from Sacramento to see them. I have a rare medical condition that has specific implications for dental health. They've been accommodating and proactive -- doing research where necessary to make sure that I'm getting the best care possible. I've also never had an attempt to upsell cosmetic work here; no discussion of whitening or veneers, both of which I had every dentist mention every single visit the whole time I lived in Los Angeles. Do I have to bill back to insurance? Yes. Have I ever had a problem with that? No. Ultimately, billing back to insurance (as others have mentioned in their reviews) is a very small tradeoff for me when compared with having a dental team that I trust.“

“Dr. Carole Miyohara goes 1,000% above and beyond, and has done so for all three of our kids for over 15 years. She is by far our favorite dentist and health care provider. She is incredibly thorough, knowledgeable and gives the aloha spirit with her beautiful welcoming smile and demeanor. Our youngest son has special needs so she sees him when the office is quiet and there are no other distractions. She is so amazing with her gentle care and gracious heart. We appreciate her so much, and the whole office staff too!!!“

“Today I had the first good experience at the dentist in my whole life. Since I was very little, I have HATED going to the dentist. Today, I think that changed.

I get very overwhelmed by new places, sounds, smells, etc., and I walked in with my sunglasses and noise cancelling headphones (iykyk). I was not judged or asked to take them off. Everyone there treated me so nicely. I didn't have a panic attack or cry!

It is apparent that Dr. Kami leads his team with kindness and warmth, because that is how I was welcomed today. I feel very grateful to have found his practice and only wish I'd found them sooner. I don't hate the dentist anymore! :)“
