“Until now, I’ve always hated going to the dentist. New to this dental office, and could not have made a better choice. They care about their patients and it shows. The reception area, waiting area, dental exam rooms and the bathroom are very clean and neat. EVERYONE of the staff members I had the pleasure of coming in contact were professional and inviting! The dental hygienist had a soft touch and was very attentive. I am not going to mention my dentist by name because I don’t want everyone reading this to request him, thus making him unavailable to me, but what I will say is that he is warm and personable and explained everything to me in terms that I could understand , he was honest and genuine, he didn’t rush and make me feel like I was just $$. I felt no pain during my first procedure and left after my feeling satisfied ( and numb) but as excited as I could be about going back for my next appointment.“

“I started going to Dr. J. Cortese about 30 years ago. He healed me from my dental trauma from my childhood dentist. I have crowns that he put in that are 25+ years old and in good shape. There was a number of years that I didnt see them due to changes in my life and I was never completely satified with the 3 different dentist that I went to. I am happy that circumstances changed and I am back in their good hands. I have seen Dr. Kara, Dr. Joseph Cortese and Dr. Frank Cortese all of whom I would give 10/10 to. The entire staff is awesome! “As both a patient and one of Dr. Marc’s hygienists, I can confidently say he’s the real deal!
I recently had a crown done and was pretty apprehensive about the appointment, even knowing firsthand how skilled he is. I’m one of those odd ball patients that doesn’t numb easily. Dr.Marc put me completely at ease — his sense of humor, calm demeanor, and surprisingly painless injection made all the difference. I didn’t feel not even a twinge of pain. The procedure was quick, thorough, and honestly kind of impressive to watch from the other side of the chair. “My first time at Laurel Smile Dentistry. My previous dentist cancelled me three times, and as 2025 ended on 31 December, Laurel Smile Dentistry took me in the same day. They were courteous and kind. I was able to get my teeth cleaned, rescheduled for a crown replacement, and referred to another service to treat an infection growing in the root of the tooth. They use state-of-the-art technology in this industry, and I am grateful to them for keeping my teeth and hygiene secure.“

“Update: the payment issue was resolved.

I went for a cleaning procedure in September. The procedure itself went fine.

Before the procedure, I was told that my insurance covers the entire cost of the procedure. However, after the procedure, I was told I need to pay the entire fee since my insurance doesn’t cover it.“

“Aloha Dentistry is an AMAZING office for children who have some dental fears. We switched to this office after my son experienced a lot of anxiety at his last office. Dr. Ameneh just has the best bedside manner, and all the staff is so welcoming and accommodating in helping to calm the patients. Even though they don't take Delta Dental and I pay out of pocket, the costs are not unreasonable, and they work with Delta to get you reimbursed. 10 stars, definitely recommend!“

“I’m not sure where to begin. I started seeing Dr. Young a year before the pandemic hit. I had a few broken teeth, which really got me down. I felt lost, and I didn’t see a way to get my teeth fixed. But guess what? Walking into Dr. Young’s office was the best thing that ever happened to me. He explained everything about fixing my teeth in a way that made sense, and he put together a plan I could follow to get them all fixed. Now, I’ve even recommended Dr. Young to some of my friends. “My overall experience as a patient at Itani Dental is nothing short of exceptional. I have had anxiety going to the dentist since childhood but Dr. Itani and his team have been instrumental in making me feel comfortable and at ease from when I first came in for consultation at the beginning of this year to now. They worked with me and accommodated my request from the get-go (within reason) which gave me the confidence to finally go through the procedure... a major oral surgery for implants on both the upper and lower arches which I kept putting off for years. This process requires a lot of visits and time in between for gums and implants to heal. I will be receiving my permanent implants in a few weeks and I couldn't be more excited. My oral health is back in tip top shape, I can enjoy eating my favorite foods, and yes you guessed it... I can smile again with confidence. Thank you, Itani Dental team... you guys are the best!

“Another comfy visit to KDAA. They are very thorough and usually identify a new cavity, or a filling that needs to be replaced, or an area that needs improvement. After years of guidance, most of my problems -- gums and back teeth -- have cleared up. They are excellent at tracking challenges from visit to visit, so they are very familiar with the terrain. Unfortunately, all new challenges are mine to prevent.“

“Outstanding! Dr. Calvert clearly explained what to expect during my cuspid root canal. He worked painlessly — and quickly on this infected tooth. He also placed a temporary crown to cover the missing part of the tooth until a new crown was in place. His assistants, especially Gilma, were in sync with him. “A really wonderful dentist. I drive all the way to Berkeley from Sacramento to see them. I have a rare medical condition that has specific implications for dental health. They've been accommodating and proactive -- doing research where necessary to make sure that I'm getting the best care possible. I've also never had an attempt to upsell cosmetic work here; no discussion of whitening or veneers, both of which I had every dentist mention every single visit the whole time I lived in Los Angeles. Do I have to bill back to insurance? Yes. Have I ever had a problem with that? No. Ultimately, billing back to insurance (as others have mentioned in their reviews) is a very small tradeoff for me when compared with having a dental team that I trust.“
