“I have high standards when it comes to beauty services. I was in the beauty business myself for 34 years and owned a high-end full service salon. Now retired, It has not been easy to find dependable technicians for my own beauty needs.. I have been coming to first impression in Belmont for over a few years on a consistent basis and trust Sam over anyone else that has worked with me. She does exceptional work and pays attention to the fine details. She is always on time and I have never felt rushed. Above all, she is a very kind person and makes the experience a relaxing one. She is super gentle. The salon has a great vibe. The owner is constantly updating the decorations for the season and holidays and makes the customers feel welcome when they arrive. All the girls seem to work very nicely together and you can tell there is no gossip going on or negative energy. I highly recommend First Impression in Belmont!“

“I highly recommend this place in the peninsula, especially Lily and Hannah! I did Gel-X extension green one and they have so many charms and stickers and can paint too. my mother did gel x with painted flowers. The place is very hygienic and professional with sanitized tools, and great attention to detail. My mother also does lash extension and pedicure here too. Go to Eros, I tried lots of places and this place is still the best in San Mateo, better than downtown San Mateo because it is cheaper too. “Mary truly is a gem. She’s meticulous and friendly. There’s parking in the back. She’s cash only. She has mostly DND colors, but I’ve brought in my own OPI gel polish for her to use. I think Mary’s true magic comes out in her fills. I had two nails where the polish came off and she filled around it like nothing happened. The picture of my nails doesn’t do it justice. I inquired about chrome and she puts it on top of whatever you picked. I get compliments on this set almost everyday.“

She has high attention to detail, a perfectionist, EFFICIENT, and a great person to talk to.
