“I have a poodle named Jasper. In 2016, he had some skin infection issues, and through a friend's recommendation, we came to this animal hospital. Acredale has been taking care of his health for the past ten years. Two weeks ago, due to his old age, pneumonia, and skin cancer, we visited the hospital. After an efficient and professional examination, Dr. Madison offered several treatment options, and we decided to bring him home and take medicine and keep conservative treatment. Unfortunately, he didn’t make it. I called to cancel Jasper's follow-up appointment and let them know we lost him. Today, I received a card from them—thank you for the comfort from Acredale! Once we get through the grief of losing Jasper, we will bring our new puppy back here! Absolutely!“

“I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Adam and Obedient Paws. When we started, my dog struggled with aggression, resource guarding, and would bark and growl at anyone who came into our home or even walked past the window. It was stressful and honestly overwhelming.

From the very beginning, Adam was patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly understanding of both my dog and our situation. He took the time to explain what was causing the behavior and gave us clear, practical steps to work through it. “We adopted Stitch, a six year old beagle mix in November 2025. My wife told me that I had to train him (and ME). However, due to our upcoming scheduled obligations and trips, I didn’t start right away. We did start training with Dory in April, and we are doing great!

We started out with private lessons because Stitch would bark at EVERYTHING, other dogs, squirrels, a leaf, the wind. You know, he’s part beagle. Also, he was an abuse/neglect case, and as we were adopting him, the rescue covered his vet dental - and they had to remove 37 teeth! He only has the two lower canines left. So food and treats are a challenge. I mention this because positive reinforcement is key to training success. Dory gave us the idea for a great training treat, and it’s been key to how well Stitch has been progressing.

We completed our private lessons and have noticed a HUGE improvement in Stitch’s behavior. Dory invited us to observe one of her group classes and we all were impressed with his reaction to the room of unfamiliar dogs. Dory taught me on how to lead Stitch to modify his barking (though non-aggressive behavior) when he sees other dogs. After his initial vocalizations at the class, I applied the techniques Dory taught me and we were able to walk Stitch around the class and not a peep from him!

“Always an absolute pleasure the bring the girls to Camp Bow Wow. They’re a little older and anti-(dog)social, but Camp Bow Wow always make sure they’re comfortable and well taken care of.
