I drive from Old Town Alexandria to Fairfax to get my dog groomed. I love this place! My dog has very long hair and can't be shaved completely. Posey Pups does an amazing job! The quality cut, efficiency of wait time for the grooming, and smell of my dog is the best! I have been going to them since they opened. I am so impressed by them. They do a great job on old dogs, and puppies I've brought my dogs here for years.“

“I've been taking my dog King here for almost 2yrs. The owner and staff are very friendly and King looks forward to going to his "spaw" days. He has always been treated lovingly and his spa services have always been handled with meticulous care. I never feel uneasy about leaving him while he is being groomed, I've seen how compassionate they are to other dogs as well. Kind staff + great grooming + dog is happy = A++ to me. “Lovely Pet Salon took a wonderful care of my 4 year old Husky who is not a fan of grooming appointments. And can be quite difficult. They were all so kind,nice and took a great care of my pup! “We started with Featherle when our previous dog, Pudge was 2 and they groomed him until he passed at 15. My parents even brought their dogs all the way from Alexandria! We got our current little guy in 2021 and he’s an extra pup, but Mary and all the folks at Featherle treat him with love and respect. I can’t say enough good things about Featherle and highly recommend them!“

“Took in my spicy cat today and they were FABULOUS with him! They gave me meds to calm him and he was way more chill than I’ve ever seen him, so it wasn’t the worst vet experience he’s ever had. They even got him into a purrito, which I’ve never been able to do. Attaching a pic of my handsome guy with Charlotte as a cute purruito! They are genuinely a great team and I wouldn’t consider taking my cats anywhere else in town.“

“Rena does a great job with my two mini schnauzers. They don't love being groomed, but they love the feeling after! She always stays on schedule and is very flexible for pick-up time. Her shop is clean and organized. Highly recommend!“

“Finally found a groomer that listens. They did a FANTASTIC job on my 3 pups. Due to me being sick for almost 2 months 2 of them were really matted and I was very worried that they would have to be shaved. This was during the snowcrete storm of January 2026 with the bitter cold. They spent a couple of hours teasing out the mats to be able to give them PHENOMENAL cuts without shaving them all the way down. I am ECSTATIC that I have finally found How Cute Dog Grooming. “We have 3 chihuahuas who do not board or attend doggy daycare on a regular basis so they are a little shy to warming up. Tracy and Joe treated them like one of their own and took great care of them while we were on vacation. Tracy did a home visit first to get to know them, then our dogs went to her home for a few hours the week before we left town. Tracy communicated with us and even sent pictures while we were gone. We didn't have to worry at all knowing they were safe and sound. We will definitely return when we need boarding services again!“

“This is such a special place. The staff truly cares about the dogs and Sherrie, the general manager, is a really kind person to work with. I also LOVE how easy it is to make a reservation. I filled out a new dog form on the website (so easy) and had quick responses to get us scheduled and on our way. My dog was SO happy here and I loved watching him on the cameras all day. We had our flight get messed up coming home, which messed up our scheduled pick up, and the staff was understanding and worked with us. Really appreciated that. Thanks Dog Tales! We will be back!“

“We’ve been visiting Kaiser for grooming appointments for the last 8 years for our two corgis. Laura and her team has always been incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and loving with our corgis…one of whom doesn’t love the grooming process. So it’s no surprise that we reached out to her for advice when our corgi, Gatsby, was having intense resource guarding issues. I reached out for advice as I was feeling like we had no choice but to rehome him. She offered to come over the next day to assess his behavior and offer some training support as a last ditch effort. I am SO glad I did because he has been a changed dog the last several months. We’ve worked with countless trainers on this issue and none suggested the strategies she offered but her strategies worked almost immediately. She looked at him holistically and offered ideas for us to build his trust, offer a calmer environment, all while managing his problematic behaviors. We went from feeling like we had no chance but to rehome Gatsby to feeling confident about supporting him and his needs. We can’t recommend Laura and her team enough!“
