We dropped our Bichon Collin as we left on vacation. He was in good shape when we left. When we returned Collin has lost his sight after an apparent scrap and no one paying attention to our boy. The manager said it was just a bump and that she would be in touch.We have since tried many times to reach the manager Melissa to discuss, no one has returned our calls. We had to take him to the emergency hospital and for follow up care. No one at this facility seemed to care or even know how to reach a manager. Total disappointment. Next stop corporate office. Don't take your dog to Dogtopia of Gainesville.
Our dog boarding experience here was typical to any other dog boarding facility, but the prices here are absurd. We spent nearly $250 for 2 dogs just for one night boarding! They did not tell us that pick up after 10am would result in a daycare charge. We picked them up a few minutes past 10am and got charged $100. I understand that businesses need to make a profit but this seems like price gouging and unfair for people who have no other place to leave their dogs when traveling, etc.
